
The rocker has just completed a seven-week course of radiation treatment to try and beat the deadly disease.
Hamilton is hopeful the treatment will have been successful and if he is given the all-clear plans to be back on th
e road with his bandmates by mid-October.
The 54-year-old musician, who co-wrote a number of the group’s biggest hits, including ‘Sweet Emotion’ and ‘Janie’s Got A Gun’, has previously beaten a cocaine addiction after getting hooked on the drug in the 70s.
The rocker is not the only member of Aerosmith to have been needed hospital treatment this year.
