The jury is still out regarding whether Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have broken up, and there are even questions as to just how “close” they might have been at Ashlee Simpson’s wedding.
One thing a source close to Jessica will confirm is that his attendance was a “test” that Romo needed to pass if there was any hope of keeping their relationship alive. “They’ve broken up a hundred times,” said the source. “They’d had another of their ‘breakups’ before the wedding, but it was clear to him that he had to go as Jess’s date if there was any hope that the relationship would work out.”
