Actress Vanessa Williams dished to Parade.com about the final season of Desperate Housewives, how she plans to stay in touch with her co-stars and more. Check out some hightlights:

On the upcoming series finale of Desperate Housewives…
“Unfortunately, that show’s going too, but at least we had a forewarning. They’ve been doing it for eight years, I’m just happy to be able to jump on the last two. It’s been wonderful. We still have another seven episodes to shoot, so we don’t finish until the end of April. The mood on set hasn’t been too sad because we still have a tremendous amount of work to do, but I’m sure after eight years it’s going to get kind of teary toward the end.”

On what’s in store for the women on Wisteria Lane…
“I don’t know. We rarely know what’s going to happen from episode to episode. I don’t know whether it’s intentional, but we get scripts sometimes the night before we shoot. It might be a good idea because then nothing ever gets leaked. All I know is that I hope I remain on the lane and stay alive! That’s my wish.”

On staying in touch with her Desperate co-stars…
“Hopefully we’ll continue to be friends. The same thing happened with Ugly Betty. Tomorrow, I’m actually off to see Michael Urie star in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and then I’m having lunch in between shows with Judith Light, and America Ferrera and I texted last week. We’re all still connected and I think the same thing will happen with the Desperate Housewives girls. I’ve been to Felicity Huffman’s house for game night, and I’ve been to Teri Hatcher’s house the past two years for her annual Halloween party. When you spend a lot of hours with people that you enjoy and work with you become friends and I hope that lasts.”

Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes,” “The Lying Game”) is a corporate fixer who travels to a small town in Ireland and must gain approval from the local pixie expert, Amy Huberman (“The Clinic”) before he can close a deal on a proposed job site believed to be inhabited by leprechauns in “Chasing Leprechauns,” a Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere, Saturday, March 17 (8pm ET/PT, 7C).

Michael Garrett (Pasdar), a New York corporate troubleshooter, is ready for a well-deserved vacation from his stressful job. But his demanding boss has other ideas and sends Michael on an unusual assignment—to travel to a small town in Ireland to close a deal on a smelting plant construction site that is believed to be inhabited by leprechauns. Needing to find a way around the antiquated law considered legend in the town, Michael sets out to get the approval of the town’s resident leprechaun expert, local pub owner Sarah Cavanaugh (Huberman), and soon finds that is easier said than done. Sarah believes the land is inhabited by leprechauns, and won’t sign Michael’s building permit. With a little help from the locals, Michael tries to win over Sarah by acquainting himself with the town’s customs, but when he unexpectedly falls in love, he must get luck on his side and his boss off his back. Can Michael find a way to win Sarah’s heart and still close the deal, or will the local leprechaun legend leave him with nothing?

“Chasing Leprechauns” is a Parallel Films Production for MNG Films in association with Larry Levinson Productions. Larry Levinson, Mary Callery and Alan Moloney are executive producers. Randy Pope is co-executive producer. Ruth Carter and Peter Norris are producers. Kevin Connor directed from a script by Rod Spence.

The ‘Alejandro’ hitmaker used to make herself sit after eating family meals because she wanted to lose her “voluptuous” curves and be a “skinny little ballerina”

Speaking at the ‘It’s Our Turn’ conference in Los Angeles yesterday (“I used to throw up all the time in high school. So I’m not that confident. I wanted to be a skinny little ballerina but I was a voluptuous little Italian girl whose dad had meatballs on the table every night. I used to come home and say, ‘Dad, why do you always give us this food? I need to be thin.’ And he’d say, ‘Eat your spaghetti.’

“It’s really hard, but you’ve got to talk to somebody about it.”

Gaga admitted the eating disorder damaged her voice, which was why she eventually stopped making herself sick.
She explained: “It made my voice bad, so I had to stop. The acid on your vocal chords – it’s very bad.”

The eccentric singer admitted she still worries about her weight but urged young girls to stop being so body-conscious and obsessed with being thin.

She added: “Weight is still a struggle. Every video I’m in, every magazine cover, they stretch you – they make you perfect. It’s not real life. I’m gonna say this about girls: The dieting wars have got to stop. Everyone just knock it off. Because at the end of the day, it’s affecting kids your age. And it’s making girls sick.”

The 24-year-old actress – who is expecting her first child with husband Mike Comrie – was upset when her six-year-old Chihuahua Lola fell ill before Christmas but the pooch is now on the mend after having fluid drained from her brain.

Hilary tweeted: “Update! Lola was having terrible seizures. She had a shunt put in her skull to drain fluid off her brain and now is doing great.”

Today Hilary had an appointment with her doctor about her unborn baby boy and was pleased to report the impending new arrival is doing fine – though she herself is suffering from sore ribs.

She tweeted: “Early morning dr appointment. Baby’s looking perfect! So it’s a great day..except for my ribs..which get a good solid kick every half hour!”

Hilary – who is due to give birth next month – revealed in December that Lola had fallen ill and asked her fans to pray for the dog.

She tweeted: “Could everyone please say a prayer for my pup Lola, she has surgery in a half hour, She’s a strong girl but needs all good energy sent her way.”

A psychiatric patient who has allegedly threatened Halle Berry’s life has escaped from a mental institution.

Robert Hoskins, who has reportedly vowed to “slit her throat”, managed to evade security at an undisclosed mental hospital last week and is now on the run.

He previously made a similar threat to Madonna and was shot by the singer’s bodyguard in 1995 after he was caught trespassing on the Material Girl’s property.

Berry filed legal papers earlier this week asking a judge to permit her to relocate from Los Angeles to her French fiance Olivier Martinez’s home country with her daughter Nahla.

Her request to move was prompted by Hoskins’ escape and the recent imprisonment of Richard Franco, another man who was accused of stalking the actress last summer.

Franco was sentenced to 386 days behind bars and five years probation in January after pleading no contest to stalking. He is also banned from going anywhere near Berry until 2022.

Her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, who is also the father of her three-year-old child, has opposed the move and a hearing on the matter is pending.

The actress also sought to ban Aubry from contacting Nahla last month after former nanny Alliance Kamdem accused the male model of shoving her against a door while she was holding the child. The former couple has been locked in a bitter battle over Nahla since they split in 2010.
