Seventeen Magazine Names Beyonce Knowles 2008 Style Star Of The Year

Beyonce Knowles is serious about trying to become the next “Wonder Woman”

The LA Times reports the singer has already met with reps from DC Comics about starring in the flick, due out in 2011. “A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that, right?” she says. Knowles, who once pranced around in her underwear in an “Austin Powers” picture, has her work cut out for her if she hopes to squeeze into Lynda Carter’s iconic red, white and blue bathing suit. “I would defi nitely have to keep it right for that costume,” she says.

Beyonce’s scared of childbirth

Baby-bump watchers can cross Beyonce Knowles off their list for the foreseeable future.
Contact Music reports the R&B singer, who wed hop-hip artist Jay-Z in April, is in no rush to start a family after watching her sister give birth.
“I have a nephew … I was there in the delivery room when he was born,” Knowles explained. “I had begged my sister, please don’t make me, ‘cos its going to traumatize me. But she talked me into it — and I was right! I’m scared of that!”
But a birth phobia isn’t the only thing holding Knowles back from having a baby. Even if she conquered her fear, she claims her career would be reason enough.
“I work so much,” she said. “I’m just not ready yet.”

SOLANGE TO TOUR WITH BEYONCÉ

Last week, Mathew Knowles broke the news that Beyoncé will embark on a 110-date world tour that will begin in April 2009 and trek through Canada, Europe, the U.S. (with a one-week stint in Las Vegas), Mexico, South America, Japan, Africa, and Australia. But what you didn’t hear was that Beyoncé won’t be the only Knowles on the road.
Discussions are under way for Solange to join her big sis’ on tour. After seeing the elder Knowles rock arenas, fans would be able to go to a more intimate location and watch Solange perform at an official “after-party.” Specific details have yet to be announced.
Beyoncé is scheduled to release her third album I Am… Sasha Fierce on November 18th, while Solange’s sophomore release SoL-AngeL and The Hadley St. Dreams is available now.

Personal Note from Beyonce

Columbia Records released a statement yesterday from Beyonce on her upcoming album:
Beyonce Addresses Her Fans on Her Upcoming Release, Due in Stores November 18th
“I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album.
I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old. I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me. I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. There is no label or tag on my sound. It’s me and I am so excited to share it with the world on November 18.”
Love,
Beyoncé
