BRIDGET Moynahan is furious with Gisele Bundchen after Bundchen boldly bragged to Vanity Fair about being mommy to Moynahan and Tom Brady’s son, John.

But while Moynahan is taking the high road and keeping quiet, her friends are not.

One close pal told Page Six, “If Gisele loved Bridget’s child like he was ‘100 percent her own,’ then she would not talk about him in the press. Discretion and respect are not either of Gisele or Tom’s virtues, as was evidenced even when the child was still unborn and they publicly flaunted their relationship without any discretion whatsoever.”

Brady and Moynahan broke up before the “Lord of War” star learned she was pregnant and he began dating Bundchen. Moynahan gave birth to John on Aug. 22, 2007.

Moynahan’s friend continued: “Don’t you think Jack will grow up and read her comments and find them disrespectful to him and his mother? If Tom is such a great father as everyone likes to say, then you would think that he’d respect the privacy of his young child and would ask his wife not to use his son as a publicity prop and a subject of public discussion. Is she is so desperate for attention that she can’t find anything more productive to talk about other than Bridget’s child?”

In Vanity Fair, Bundchen not only said John was “100 percent her child,” she added: “It’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child. I love him the same way as if he were mine. I already feel like he’s my son, from the first day . . . He’s my little angel — the sweetest, most cuddly, loving baby. I feel blessed to have him in my life. I understand that he has a mom, and I respect that. But to me, it’s not like because somebody else delivered him, that’s not my child — I feel it is, 100 percent.”

Moynahan’s friend also quipped, “Hey Gisele — real mothers don’t call their kids ‘it.’ ” Moynahan’s rep declined to comment.

For Bridget Moynahan, bringing her newborn son home alone last year was “frightening” – and far from a dream – she reveals to Harper’s Bazaar.

“I’m not sure anyone – and I could be wrong in this – grows up thinking, I want to be a single mom,” Moynahan, 37, says in the magazine’s July issue.

Shortly after the end of her three-year relationship with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady – who is currently dating Gisele Bündchen – Moynahan announced her pregnancy.

“When you’re suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you’re in your 30s, it’s a hard conversation. I’m a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that’s the way I’d be doing this,” she says. “For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family.”

She gave birth to John – whom she gave her last name – last August. “I walk in and just started sobbing,” she says of coming home alone with her son. “All of a sudden, you have this newborn you have no training for. It’s frightening.”

But having family and friends like I, Robot costar Will Smith rally around her, made it easier. “I got so much out of that,” she says of that “traumatic time of being heartbroken” and pregnant. “It’s golden and it’s tough and it was f—ed up. But now I have a child, and it’s the best thing in the world.”

Meet the latest celebrity newborn to grace the weekly gossip-mag cover. It’s Bridget Moynahan, 36, with 5-week-old John Edward Thomas Moynahan. The pair appear on the cover of OK! magazine, on stands Friday, with several more photos featured inside the issue.
Moynahan split last December from her NFL beau and baby-daddy Tom Brady, 30, but he was on hand when the actress gave birth in California Aug. 22 and spent a few days with mother and son. Brady is now dating Brazilian model (and Leonardo DiCaprio ex) Gisele Bundchen, 27.

Moynahan declined to be interviewed, but OK! reports that she is facing single motherhood with an optimistic outlook. Even though she has a development deal with ABC, the actress plans to put her career on hold.

The arrival of a beautiful baby boy has not eased the bad blood between exes Bridget Moynahan and Tom Brady.

The New England Patriots QB flew to Los Angeles by private jet last week for the birth of his son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan.

“Tom was only allowed to see the baby for a short time,” says a West Coast spy. “Bridget would not see him herself.” Moynahan’s publicist said in a statement: “Bridget is very thankful for a happy baby, excited about being a mother, and very pleased that the father, Tom Brady, was able to be there for the birth.”

But our source says: “He was only allowed to come after the baby was born. The woman would not see him, period. And she gave the baby her last name.”

The model/actress and Brady split last year after three years of dating. News of the pregnancy emerged just after Brady began a relationship with Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

“[Tom] is waiting to find out when he can see the little guy again,” says the snitch. “Bridget is not giving him any slack on this at all.”

Yesterday, her spokesman said Brady and Moynahan were “together” at the hospital, but couldn’t say if he was in the room during the birth. “Bridget and Tom are on speaking terms and have the best interests of the child at heart,” he said.

New England quarterback Tom Brady’s newborn son has the initials JET.

Actress Bridget Moynahan announced Tuesday the name of their son — John Edward Thomas Moynahan — saying Brady arrived in Los Angeles in time for the child’s birth last week.

“Bridget is very thankful for a happy baby, excited about being a mother, and very pleased that the father, Tom Brady, was able to be there for the birth,” publicist Gary Mantoosh told The Associated Press.

Moynahan and Brady split up late last year after a three-year relationship. Brady has been dating supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

Brady, 30, has led the Patriots to three NFL titles and is a two-time Super Bowl MVP. New England opens its regular season against the rival New York Jets on Sept. 9.

Mantoosh didn’t give any other details, including the size of the baby or whether Thomas was in honor of his father.

“Both mother and baby are at home, happy and healthy,” he said.

Brady flew to California for the birth and returned to his team a few days later for a preseason game.

Moynahan, 36, is a former model who has starred in films and television shows.

Earlier in the week, Brady said he wanted to be sidelined so he could attend the birth of his first child, calling it “a very joyous, happy situation.” Moynahan publicist Christina Papadapoulos said “both mother and baby are doing well.”

All’s not well with Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady. While the two have put up a happy front for the cameras – and his family is even said to be flying out to Italy to spend time at the villa in Rome she recently acquired – our spies say Bundchen is upset that Brady’s ex, Bridget Moynahan, is due to give birth to Brady’s son on Friday – Bundchen’s birthday. The tension has grown so intense that the couple fought openly in front of hotel guests in Napa while staying at the five-star Auberge du Soleil.
