Brooke Bollea, daughter of famous wrestler Hulk Hogan, was involved in a car accident on the Bayside Bridge Sunday afternoon.

The accident comes just weeks after Brooke Bollea’s brother, Nick Bollea, was sentenced to eight months in jail on a felony reckless driving charge.

Nick Bollea, 17, lost control of his Toyota Supra in Clearwater on Aug. 26 and smashed into a palm tree, critically injuring his friend John Graziano.

No one was injured in the Sunday crash, which occurred just before 4 p.m.

Brooke Bollea, 20, and passenger Laura Chadwell, 23, were hit by Ronald Gallmon, 19, of Brandon, when he lost control of his vehicle while trying to switch lanes, according to a report released late Sunday by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Bollea and Gallmon were both traveling north — Bollea in the center lane in a 2008 Mercedes and Gallmon in the right lane in a 1997 Toyota.

The report says Gallmon lost control when he tried to change lanes to the left. His car began to turn counterclockwise and ended up in the left lane, in front of Bollea’s car.

The impact pushed Bollea’s car into the left concrete barrier wall. Gallmon’s car also hit the left barrier, crossed both lanes of travel and stopped on the right shoulder.

Each car sustained an estimated $3,000 in damages, the report said.

Gallmon had a 17-year-old passenger in his car, Megan Wright.

Witnesses said Gallmon was speeding, according to the FHP report. No charges were filed but the FHP continues to investigate.

Troopers temporarily closed at least one northbound lane, but traffic was flowing smoothly by 5:30 p.m.

Linda Bollea and her husband, Terry Bollea, who is well-known by his wrestling name Hulk Hogan, both came to the accident scene.

Brooke Bollea could not be reached for comment Sunday. But Linda Bollea, reached at the family’s Belleair home shortly before 6 p.m., acknowledged there was an accident and said no one was injured in the crash.

Brooke Bollea’s singing career was often the focus of her family’s VH1 reality series, Hogan Knows Best, which began airing in 2005.

Hulk Hogan’s 17-year-old son Nick Hogan was recently sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading no contest to charges of reckless driving in an accident that left his close friend critically injured. But friends of the “Hogan Knows Best” family are more concerned about his 20-year-old sister, Brooke Hogan, according to our source.

“She’s suffering the worst of all; she just can’t keep it together and has been hit the hardest,” said the source, adding that Brooke is “extremely sensitive” and her emotions are spiraling out of control. Brooke’s relationship with her father was severely strained after his reported infidelity with her former friend made news in February.

While our source said that Nick’s arrest has “brought them a little closer to reconciliation,” it’s not the case for Hulk and his wife, Linda. The estranged couple appeared together at Nick’s hearing on May 9, where Linda even flashed her wedding ring, apparently for the first time since news of the reported affair broke.

“Basically they were trying to put their best foot forward and fake a public image of unity and support for their son,” our insider said. “He [Hulk] is a very astute businessman and very good at playing the media — he even admitted in court that their reality show was scripted and not so real after all.”

But it seems it was his family’s fascination with fame that led to the show getting off the ground in the first place, with Hulk even admitting to Pop Tarts just days before his son’s final hearing that he “warned” them all against appearing on national television.

“I was offered lots of [reality] shows when I was making my career comeback against The Rock, but I kept saying no. But years later, it was my daughter’s career and son’s racing career that we were thinking about.

“We saw the Ashlee Simpson show and Jessica Simpson’s and Lindsay Lohan on the big screen and we just didn’t haven’t a vehicle to compete,” he said. “But I considered it, because this time it was about the Hogan family rather than Hulk Hogan; they all wanted to do it and I tried to warn them about what they were in for. Now look what happened.”

So it seems that their “reality” show could have played a large role in the family’s demise and consequently Nick’s misbehavior.

“Producers will employ whatever is necessary to entertain by creating and exposing drama, conflict and escalated emotions,” said human behavior expert Patrick Wanis, who coached the star-studded family during their VH1 series.

“The constant attention, adulation and power can easily become addictive and overpowering and can lead to narcissism,” Wanis said. “The rush of the fame and power can prevent someone from stopping and thinking about the possible consequences of one’s actions.”

Weighing in on her brother’s recent woes, Brooke Hogan took to her MySpace blog to set the record straight. Sort of. After claiming that Nick Bollea’s reckless driving trial, which ended in an eight-month jail sentence, was based on lies, Brooke deleted her message.

“I know most of the public thinks my brother is some rich little selfish kid, but NO ONE knows the real story and I’m really pissed that the truth didn’t come out from either side,” Brooke said in a post she labeled “BS.” “A LOT of lies were told in that trial. Believe me. And it wasn’t from us.”

As for the Hogan family friend, John Graziano, who was critically injured in the crash last August, Brooke claimed, “John was NEVER home. He was at our house. ALL THE TIME. that should say enough….”

Maintaining that cryptic tone, she continued, “Im not going to be out spoken right now, but If some s— doesn’t start getting straightened out, A lot of people are going to eat their words for lieing. I know all of the truth and I have back up. I never know how twisted this world could be but I’m starting to figure it out. And I’m gonna have to jump off my high road and tackle some ppl who are taking the low road.”

Later Brooke deleted the message, as she’s apt to do, and replaced it with a new one entitled “wtvr.” In the revised post, Brooke only assured, “I have the truth on my side. And the truth will set everyone straight sooner or later. PEACE.” And, as a postscript, “yes I took my last one off cause I know itll go around anyway. Have at it ppl.”

Last week, Plante spoke to the National Enquirer about her romance with Hulk that broke up his 24-year marriage to wife Linda. Brooke, 19, writes on her MySpace blog: “I think she shoulda thought about what kinda press she was gonna get when she slept with her best friend’s famous father . . . I think we’re all seeing just exactly how karma works Christiane. Nothing you say will ever put my family back together.”

Dec 062007

Brooke Hogan has spoken out about the rift between her parents, Terry (aka Hulk Hogan) and Linda Bollea. Despite her mom filing for divorce on November 20, Brooke claimed in the video below that her parents are “doing great. They love each other. Everything’s fine!”

Brooke’s comments are a sharp contrast to earlier reports that the Hulk was apparently blindsided by the news that his wife of 24 years had filed for divorce. When he was reached for comment about the filing by the St. Petersburg Times, Hulk seemed unaware his wife was trying to divorce him, and thanked the reporter for the “great information.”

The split came less than three months after their son, Nick, 17, crashed his car, leaving passenger John Graziano, 22, in a coma. Linda’s filing was followed by a request for alimony, child support and custody of Nick. The Hulk hit back with a filing claiming his wife could take care of herself.

But as Brooke, 19, advised, “You can’t believe everything you read.”

TJ Martell Foundation Hosts Its 8th Annual Family Day

Hulk Hogan’s daughter wants people to think she’s a big spender. In town promoting her debut album, “Undiscovered,” Brooke Hogan waltzed into the LF store on Fifth Avenue with her wrestler dad and a Teen People camera crew shooting their every move. She spent 90 minutes trying on clothes with clerks eventually ringing up $900 of merchandise. Minutes after everyone left, a Hogan flack came back in without cameras to return it all, moaning, “We didn’t actually think you were going to charge her!” Brooke’s flack told us, “When she got to her car she realized she’d overspent, but she did keep a bag and a necklace.”

Perhaps Brooke should find a “Sugar Daddy” like Dennis Rodman who is feeling her up in the pic above!
