Cameron Diaz and Sean Combs’ recent work dates have taken a romantic turn – the couple was reportedly spotted kissing as they partied together in New York.

The Charlie’s Angels star sparked speculation of a budding romance with the rapper after they were seen dining together numerous times last month.

A spokesperson for Diaz dismissed the rumors, insisting they were simply working on a film project, but now gossips has gone into overdrive after they enjoyed a late night outing to the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York on Saturday – and onlookers insist it was clear the two stars are very much a couple.

One eyewitness tells Life & Style magazine, “They were making out like teenagers.”

The actress reportedly started dating the rapper and entrepreneur in October, shortly after she split from baseball player Alex Rodriguez. Diddy was previously said to be dating his R&B protegee Cassie.

Cameron Diaz is in the “single” status herself, but the 36-year-old starlet still believes that the long-lasting love her parents (who were married in 1969) shared is one of the key contributors to her sterling on-screen success today.

“It’s a bond that is so true, so pure, and so powerful, it is the most beautiful and inspiring thing that I have ever witnessed — the eternal love that my mom and dad shared,” Diaz recently told Tarts. “It was what has given me the strength and courage to live this extraordinary life and it is what powers the light that burns inside of me.”

Diaz’s father passed away suddenly from pneumonia in April last year while she was filming her soon-to-be-released drama “My Sister’s Keeper.”

“I was very fortunate to have a very wonderful, supportive family who instilled a great work ethic in me and to treat other people the way you want to be treated and it sticks with you,” the actress explained. “Teach your kids well.”

And right from the start of her career as a teenage model, moral integrity was pivotal.

“I was fortunate to meet a man named Jeff Dunes, who when I met when at a Hollywood party at the tender age of 16, who offered to speak to my parents about me modeling instead of all the other possible things a man in his position might offer a girl in mine,” Diaz added. “I was also fortune to be represented by the Elite Model Agency, an agency that actually had integrity.”

Cameron Diaz has gone from golden-girl Hollywood actress to teasing tough-girl in one sexy cover shoot which seems to completely overhaul her image.

With cone bra, thigh-high black leather Prada boots and tiny shorts, she looks like bad-girl Madonna from her controversial 1990 Blonde Ambition Tour.

And her hairstyle – in an Agyness Deyn-style peroxide crop – is the spitting image of Madonna’s in the 1986 True Blue cover shot.

If there was any doubt of the look Diaz is going for, the cover’s strapline ‘Get into the groove’ gives the game away – a chorus line from one of Madge’s most famous songs from that tour, ‘Into the groove’.

The 36-year-old actress was photographed by duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in London for the cover of the V Magazine Beauty Issue 2009, set to hit stands on July 7.

The bra was fashioned by the stylist and made from gaffer tape.

To complete the image she has even had a tattoo of a naked woman in a rose painted onto her arm by an on-set artist.

In the interview with the magazine, the star speaks about her new role in the movie My Sister’s Keeper, in which she plays a mother, and says she is now looking to take on meatier roles.

In the film, an adaptation of Jodi Picoult best-selling novel, Diaz plays Sarah Fitzgerald, the devoted mother of a teenage girl dying of cancer.

Her younger daughter, played by Abigail Breslin, was genetically engineered to be a perfect donor match to the sick girl, but has decided to become medically emancipated from her parents, with the help of a showboat lawyer played by Alec Baldwin.

It comes as a heavy movie role for Diaz, more famed for laughing her way across the big screen in movies such as There’s Something About Mary and Charlie’s Angels.

The actress denied she took the part with Oscar hopes in mind, but admitted she does want to take her career forward by playing meatier roles.

However she ruled out directing or producing movies.

She said: ‘I don’t make movies for my ego. I do them for my personal growth and to give something to an audience.

‘I’m not going to be the 23-year-old ingénue again. If I tried to hold on to that, I’d be a pretty unhappy individual.’

Diaz said playing a mother in the film did not make her necessarily want to have children and speaking about motherhood she said: ‘I don’t declare either way if I’m going to have children. I don’t know what will happen… and I’m totally fine with that.’

The star’s latest photoshoot is a million miles (of red carpet) away from her usual look – the full, long blonde flowing hair and classic dresses of the Hollywood heart-throb out to woo the punters.

Madonna’s Blonde Ambition Tour caused huge controversy for its juxtaposition of religious images and sexuality – mixing cone bras and fishnets with crucifixes.

The pop star’s aim for the show was to combine fashion, Broadway and performance art, and to make statements about sexuality.

But it provoked storms of criticism from certain quarters for its explicit choreography.

Diaz is certainly making a statement by following in Madonna’s rather lewd groove.

Unlucky in love Cameron Diaz looked glum as she took a dip in Hawaii in the wake of her split with British model Paul Sculfor.

The actress, who split with the former brickie earlier this month, appears to be holidaying alone in the spot popular with honeymoon couples.

Looking tanned and toned, the 36-year-old wore a tiny green frilled bikini which left little to the imagination.

And it seemed to be causing her problems as she constantly fiddled with the bottoms as she waded in the clear waters.

There was no sign of Adam Levine, lead singer with Maroon 5, who she was spotted lunching with last week.

The pair dined together at the Chateau Marmont sparking rumours of a budding new romance.

The Hollywood actress, who turns 37 in August, ended her year-long relationship with former Essex bricklayer after she refused to move to the UK.

She recently spoke to Parade magazine about her views on love, saying: ‘I think that what I’ve found, in my experience, is that you always find the person who you’re meant to be with at that time in your life.

‘And what I’ve also found is that you have to move on from those people at certain times, because that’s the way it happens.’

And she said she doesn’t mind approaching 40: ‘I don’t have a problem with growing older.

‘I really don’t. I have no problem with it. It’s wonderful. Thank God we get older because if we’re not getting older, we’re dead.’

Prior to her relationship with Sculfor, she briefly dated singer John Mayer and had a four-year relationship with Justin Timberlake. They were often pictured laughing together in the sea as they surfed.

Sculfor was with Jennifer Aniston for a few months in 2007.

Cameron is due to begin promoting her new film, My Sister’s Keeper, in the next few weeks.

And she has already signed up to another movie called Swingles, with Zach Braff.

WE’VE told you about all the D-listers scrambling for free stuff at Sundance, but behind the scenes, big Hollywood names also stocked up on stuff. Cameron Diaz, who’s skiing in Utah but totally avoided Sundance events, requested a bag of swag from the Rock band Lounge. “She wasn’t at the festival, but she asked for a huge gift bag filled with Muscle Milk, Sanctuary clothing, Lia Sophia jewelry and Burt’s Bees,” said our source. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore tried to go unseen to the Fred Segal suite after-hours and “helped themselves to thousands of dollars worth of Magas choni cashmere sweaters,” we’re told. Even Robert Redford, who has been so openly against the marketing and product placements at his once-quiet festival, was spotted loading “a huge Cafe Bustelo espresso package” into his car.
