Simon Helberg has upgraded his living accommodations in a big way with the purchase of Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen’s Mediterranean mini-mansion.

Sheen purchased the estate with former wife Brooke Mueller in 2007 for $2.575 million and has had the house on the market since mid-2009. Built in 1927, the newly-minted Helberg manor measures in at just under 4,200-square-feet and features a restored interior with Bouquet Canyon stone flooring, capacious living room with trestle-style vaulted ceilings, formal dining room and a generous master suite.

Known for his role as ultra-nerd aerospace engineer Howard Wolowitz on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, Helberg is reportedly shelling out $2.9 million for the Los Angeles, California property, located just south of the Griffith Observatory and Mount Hollywood in the prominent Los Feliz neighborhood.

After their bitter breakup and contentious divorce, Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen seemed like they would never want to be in the same room together.

But that’s exactly what they did.

“Believe it or not, we had dinner together with all of us,” Richards — who has two daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 3, with her ex — tells E!’s Daily 10. “So I love that… It’s important for our daughters to see us get along and to be able to be in the same room.”

She adds: “I think anytime you go through a divorce it’s such a huge change in your life, and obviously my divorce was very public and it got very nasty… Charlie and I didn’t want that — we didn’t want all the conflict and this and that, and that’s just was the situation was.”

Their dinner even included 43-year-old Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, who gave birth to twin boys in March.

“Brooke and I have always gotten along, so obviously when we went through what we were all going through it was what it was. But I think she’s great with my girls. They love her.”

She adds that she and Sheen — who divorced in November 2006 after five years of marriage — have managed to put their troubles behind them.

“We’ve worked very hard to get it to this place, and I’m so grateful for it,” the reality star says. “I think it’s important for, you know… It’s a lot less stress, it’s a lot less money, that we get along.”

How was she able to move past their long-standing feud?

“I don’t have a choice but to get past it,” she says. “You know, I don’t read a lot of that stuff obviously — I’m not stupid. I know what’s said in most of it, but it’s just moving forward in my life and at that time when it was really bad in my life, I didn’t think about that stuff. I had to think about, ‘I’m a Mom, I have two daughters that depend on me.’ So I put all that stuff aside and I kind of just live in a little bubble.”

Richards, 38, continues: “I like things very calm and happy.”

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller’s twin son Max remains hospitalized since his March 14 birth, Sheen’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, confirms to Usmagazine.com.

“Charlie and Brooke’s infant son remains in the hospital, not because of a heart condition as reported, but because he has not gained the weight necessary to leave hospital,” the rep says.

“Max is expected to reach the weight requirement shortly and will join his brother [Bob] at home,” the rep continues. “The Sheens appreciate the outpouring of concern but have assured everyone that both Bob and Max are fine.”

“The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term,” Sheen tells Us in a statement. “I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food’ I just didn’t realize they that started so young.”

The couple told Us they were “thrilled” when they found out Mueller, 31, was expecting.

“She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for,” Sheen told Us last October, referring to his three daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 3 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 24 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt).

Sheen, 43, met Mueller through Eric Dane and his wife Rebecca Gayhart in 2006. They wed in a small ceremony in Beverly Hills last May. It’s the third marriage for the Two and a Half Men star, and the first for Mueller, a real estate agent and former actress.

Mueller was hospitalized briefly in February for premature contractions, his rep confirmed to Us then.

Charlie Sheen and his wife, real estate investor Brooke Mueller, welcomed twin boys — Bob and Max — Saturday in Los Angeles.

The new arrivals are the couple’s first children together.

On March 12, Sheen told Extra he was officially “on standby” for the twins’ impending arrival.

“What time is it?…It could be tomorrow, next week. We’re on standby,” he admitted. Prompting their heightened alert was Mueller’s overnight trip to an L.A. hospital last month after experiencing premature contractions, not uncommon in women carrying twins.

The couple — who met through Eric Dane and his wife Rebecca Gayhart in 2006 — said they had not yet settled on names.

“We’re still sort of circling Bob and Nik…N-I-K,” the actor, 43, told Extra.

Sheen and Mueller, 31, announced they were expecting last summer.

“Brooke and I are thrilled! She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for,” Sheen told Us at the time, referring to his three daughters, Sam, 5, and Lola, 3 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 23 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt).

Designing for kids? Psh! That’s child’s play.

Charlie Sheen – yes, that Charlie Sheen – is launching a line of retro casual shirts inspired by 1950s rockabilly culture.

The bad boy actor’s DaVinci Collection by Charlie Sheen comes three years after the launch of his Sheen Kidz couture sportswear line for children. The line went out of business “a while ago,” a former rep for the line tells the Daily News.

The “Two and a Half Men” star is hoping for better success with his new line, which focuses on short-sleeved, button-up shirts. Sheen says he plans to expand the collection beyond shirts in the future.

Agoya shell buttons, retro patterns and contrasting color combos make up the look of the tees.

Want one? It’ll set you back anywhere from $59 to $79.

Sheen showed off his collection at the MAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas Tuesday.

“I love the look and feel of the DaVinci pieces,” he said in a statement. “The retro designs exude a sense of cool, smooth, yet effortless style.”

Sheen’s duds are set to go on sale in June at GlobalRebels.com. The actor-turned-designer also hopes to eventually sell his wares in major department stores.

Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, was hospitalized Tuesday, his rep, Stan Rosenfield, confirms to Usmagazine.com.

“Brooke Mueller Sheen was taken to a Los Angeles area hospital Tuesday
morning after experiencing premature contractions, which is not uncommon at this stage of a pregnancy carrying twins,” Rosenfield tells Us.

Continues the rep: “She is expected to be released from the hospital today.”

Mueller, 31, and Sheen. 43, wed in a small ceremony in Beverly Hills last May. It’s the third marriage for the Two and a Half Men star, and the first for Mueller, a real estate agent and former actress.

Last October, they announced they’re expecting twin boys this spring.

“Brooke and I are thrilled! She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for,” Sheen told Us, referring to his daughters Sam, 4, and Lola, 3 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 23 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt).

Charlie Sheen and ex Denise Richards’s daughters are unharmed after being involved in a car accident Friday in Malibu, his rep tells PEOPLE.

“Charlie told me that the girls are fine,” said publicist Stan Rosenfield. “He said it could have been much worse. They were in their car seats, and he is extremely grateful for the safety features from Mercedes.”

The girls, Sam, 4, and Lola, 3, were being driven in a Mercedes SUV around 3:30 p.m. when a Honda Civic made a turn in front of them, sparking a four-car collision, Sgt. Evans of the L.A. Sheriff’s Department confirms. The girls’ nanny was driving.

“The only person injured was the driver of the Honda,” Sgt. Evans said. “There was no crime committed.”

A rep for Richards had no comment.

Brooke and Charlie Sheen are thrilled to be expecting twins, according to her mother.

“Brooke and Charlie are expecting twins, and they are so excited,” Moira Fiore, who spent time with Brooke last week. “Obviously, I am floating on air.”

Fiore says that the couple “think the twins are boys” but aren’t sure.

“Brooke has had all day morning sickness but is coming to the end of the first trimester so she hopefully will feel better soon,” says Fiore of her 31-year-old daughter. “It has been rough for her.”

Still, “Brooke looks so beautiful,” adds her mom. “She is just glowing.”

Sheen, 42, who is already a father to three girls, has expressed interest in having a son. In August, Brooke said she thought they would have a boy. “Odds are it’s a boy, but we’ll be happy with either sex,” she said at the time.

The twins are due in April.

Charlie Sheen’s pregnant wife, Brooke Mueller, is apparently a quick healer following a trip to the hospital for emergency surgery.

Mueller, who is in her first trimester, had been dealing with mystery pangs for a month and, sources close to the couple tell E! News, had been fearful the pain was related to the baby.

Things got so excruciating that she needed to be admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center a little more than a week ago.

Doctors ultimately determined that Mueller required emergency gall-bladder surgery, an operation that can be risky during the early stages of pregnancy.

Mueller and Sheen’s publicist, Stan Rosenfield, confirms that Mueller was successfully treated at Cedars and discharged late last week, stressing that it had nothing to do with her pregnancy.

Dr. Cherlin Johnson, who did not treat Mueller, explains that an infected gall bladder can be life threatening not just for the baby but also to the mother.

“Any kind of surgery in the first trimester carries a lot of risks given that this is an intensive time of development for the embryo,” says Johnson, an emergency medicine physician in Beverly Hills.

“You try to minimize medication to the mother during that time. However, if there is an escalating infection, that could be life threatening to the mother and therefore for the fetus as well.”

Mueller spent five days at the hospital and has been recuperating at home for the past four days.

She was well enough to attend last night’s Emmy Awards ceremony, where Sheen was in contention for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on Two and a Half Men.
