Oscar winner CHARLIZE THERON is auctioning off the first red carpet gown she was given by a designer – to raise money for charity. Narciso Rodriguez made the one-of-a-kind silk dress especially for the actress when she made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in France in 2000. The gown is currently up for auction on website eBay.com. The proceeds from the sale of the dress will be donated to Oprah Winfrey’s Angel Network charity.

It is currently listed for the bargain basement price of $1075 – check it out here

A well-lubricated Charlize Theron was more than just a good sport today as she took part in the annual Hasty Pudding Theatricals’ roasting ceremony and parade through Harvard Square.

While accepting the Hasty Pudding Pot for the society’s Woman of the Year award, the South African actress put on a costume nose, then started dancing and announced that “I already got drunk with half of you,” referring to “the, like, 74 shots” she downed with the theatrical society members before the parade, according to a PageSix.com spy. During her acceptance speech she admitted, “I was so nervous I felt sober.”

Later, when our spy asked about the ceremony, Charlize said (with peach-and-blueberry martini in hand), “the only challenge was keeping down all the alcohol they fed me.”

In accepting the award, which is presented to a performer who made a “lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment,” she said she had no idea why she was being honored. “After all, I don’t have a great rack,” she quipped.

During the parade, where the honoree is flanked by drag queens, she screamed “What? You’re a man?” Then, when she spotted men on a balcony, the Oscar winner yelled, “Take it off,” according to Boston.com. One of the men obliged, lifting his shirt.

Previous honorees include Scarlett Johansson, Halle Berry and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

A new book about Charlize Theron reveals shocking new details about the day her mother shot and killed the actress’ father while she looked on.

The book includes testimony from Charlize taken by police after the 1991 shooting death of Charles Theron.

In her statement, Charlize (then 15) told officers, “Someone hammered on the kitchen door. I told my mom that it was my dad. My father said he would shoot us both dead with his shotgun. My mom said she was afraid he would kill us. The next moment I heard a number of shots. Then I heard her screaming.”

The police report also reveals that Charles’ brother, Danie, was wounded in the hand during the incident. Charlize continued: “When I went into the passage, I saw my father’s brother standing. My mom was sitting in a corner of the bedroom. My mother wept and said, ‘Charlize, I’ve shot them.’ Then I saw the body of my father.”

Charles’ sister, Elsa Malan, tells the book’s author, Chris Karsten, that she later found Charlize under a blanket as Charles lay dying.

The shooting was ruled self-defense and the Oscar winner’s mother, Gerda, was never prosecuted. Charlize and her mother have always maintained that Charles was an abusive alcoholic. Nevertheless, the actress still grieves his death.

“I so wish he was around,” she once told The Guardian. “I wouldn’t wish something like that on anybody. Nobody deserves that. It was very, very sad what happened.”

Charlize Theron is known for rescuing stray dogs but the actress may want to consider investing in a guard dog. Burglars broke into Charlize’s Hollywood Hills home over the weekend while the Monster star was out of town, Los Angeles cops said Sunday.

The crooks burglarized the residence (which the actress shares with her boyfriend, actor Stuart Townsend) sometime between Thursday and Saturday. Detectives do not yet have a complete list of what was stolen. “No suspects were seen, and we don’t have a list [of] property taken yet,” said LAPD officer Sara Faden.

A spokeswoman for the Oscar winner could not be immediately reached for comment. Ironically, in her latest film, In the Valley of Elah, the 32-year-old actress plays a police detective helping Tommy Lee Jones and Susan Sarandon locate their missing son.
