David Hasselhoff has fallen off the wagon again, the NATIONAL ENQUIRER is reporting exclusively.

The 55-year-old actor has suffered a severe drinking relapse and was readmitted to a Los Angeles hospital to detox on Oct. 8, the NATIONAL ENQUIRER reports in its new issue.

“David does so well staying sober and then something kicks in and he’s back drinking,” a close source told the NATIONAL ENQUIRER.

Weak and trembling, David was readmitted to Cedar Sinai Medical Center, where doctors began the detox process.

“He looked awful when they brought him in,” said the source. “His color was ashen. He felt sick. It was just so sad.”

The severity of David’s drinking problem became obvious earlier this year when his daughter videotaped him lying on the floor of his home clearly intoxicated. That footage ended up on the Internet.

“David was so humiliated,” said the source.

“He lives for his children and it killed him that they had to see him so drunk he didn’t know what he was doing.”

But despite his embarrassment over the video, he apparently could not stop drinking.

“Most times he does remarkably well,” the source said of the star’s efforts to stay sober.

“Then every once in a while he slips up and relapses. Then he has to start all over again.”

David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach surrendered Monday to a Van Nuys, Calif., jail to be booked for a misdemeanor hit-and-run charge. She was released on her own recognizance shortly thereafter.

In January, Bach, 44, allegedly crashed into 26-year-old Nicole Valdez’s car in the San Fernando Valley and fled the scene. Valdez says damages total $1,377.

In June, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Bach to turn herself in because she was not properly booked when the criminal charges were filed.

Bach, who has pleaded not guilty, is ordered to appear for a hearing Tuesday and faces up to six months in jail if convicted.

Hasselhoff, 55, was awarded primary custody of the former couple’s two children last June. The decision marked a turnaround for the actor, who had been blocked temporarily from seeing Taylor-Ann, 17, and Hayley, 14, after a drunken video of him surfaced.

Earlier this month, Bach agreed to move out of their previously shared family home. The ex-couple will face off in a trial beginning Jan. 28 to settle their finances.

A CHANCE FOR CHILDREN FOUNDATION is a non-profit foundation that began with a vision – to give less fortunate children a chance to experience the beach, fresh air and to have a place to run, creating happy memories that could empower children to do their best.

The Foundation has been able to provide opportunittes for children to meets the cast and crew of BAYWATCH and become exposed to leaning about different production careers . In summer resident and day camps, children learn water safety, swimming, water sports and CPR, and are exposed to service related jobs. Water safety education for children around the world is provided through videos and educational materials which include lessons about the importance of protecting and preserving our oceans.

On-going projects include The South Los Angeles Little League (which helps defray membership fees, uniforms and equipment for the children) and The Victory Swimming Pool (which offers a year round swimming program for inner city youth), as well as a college scholarship for camp participants.

Baywatch star David Hasselhoff serves on the Board of Directors of the Foundation, along with representatives of the United States Army, United States Coast Guard and Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County Lifeguards.

For many of the children, whose lives have been filtered with hardships, danger and struggle, A Chance for Children represents the dawning of the possibilities to imagine a better life. Through the efforts of the foundation and the support of volunteers and donors, help and hope can be offered to these children who need it most. As we hope for the best in them, a hope is reborn in us.

David Hasselhoff is back on the singles scene. Everyone’s favorite lifeguard showed up to the Playboy July Fourth party at the Playboy mansion and spent much of the time flirting with “The Departed” actress Sallie Toussaint . Later, Toussaint, Playboy’s August celeb babe of the month, told a pal, “David’s my childhood crush, and such a nice slice of American man snack!” As for why she chose to pose in a bikini rather than the buff, Toussaint laughed, “Like most women, I only want to be seen naked in a very dark room.”

California police were called to the home of David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach on Monday following an alleged altercation between the warring pair.

Hasselhoff and Bach are currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their two daughters Hayley Amber, 14, and Taylor Ann, 17, and attended a private court hearing in Los Angeles on Monday.

However, website Tmz.com reports the couple had an argument before their court appearance on Monday.

One source claims the former Baywatch star was “abusive” to Bach when he arrived at her Encino, California home to bring Hayley a pair of shoes, so she called police.

Another source insists Bach was the angry participant and shouted at Hasselhoff when he refused to speak to her as he picked up some of Hayley’s clothes.

A source from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirms police were called to house and the incident was reported.

Protective dad David Hasselhoff has threatened his daughters’ suitors with penis amputation if they mess the teenagers around.

The Baywatch lothario, who has two kids – Taylor-Ann and Hayley – with his ex-wife Pamela Bach, admits he worries constantly about the pair, particularly when it comes to dating.

And he warns if any man threatens their honour, he’s prepared to take the law into his own hands and seek revenge.

He says, “My oldest daughter is dating an older boy, so I said to her, ‘You’re only 16 years old. There’s plenty of time to have sex and fall in love.’ “To him I said, ‘If you hurt my daughter in any way, I will take you outside and I will cut your thing off. I have no problem spending the rest of my life in prison.’” Earlier this year, Hasselhoff admitted his daughter Hayley was “kind of mad at me because I called the paramedics for a cat scratch”.

Hasselhoff Eyes Anderson
Meanwhile the actor has finally fallen for his Baywatch co-star Pamela Anderson – nine years after she left the show.

The singer/actor admits he didn’t find her attractive when they starred together in the cult lifeguard program.
