POP princess AVRIL LAVIGNE and her prince charming DERYCK WHIBLEY should be dyeing each other’s hair pink and applying eyeliner together – but it looks like they’re heading for the divorce courts instead.

Despite just two years of marriage, the in-your-face bubblegum rockers are ending their relationship, according to US reports.

Trouble has been brewing since the Complicated singer embarked on her world tour earlier this year.

It is believed the distance put pressure on the couple and as her career soared, the SUM 41 frontman waved goodbye to fame.

A source said: “They have been growing apart for months. Deryck isn’t motivated in his own career, so he’s been drinking and partying.”

Rumours of their split were fuelled when Deryck was spotted at an LA event this week “huddled at a private table” and holding hands with an unknown woman.

Avril has a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter D on her right wrist… maybe it’s time to make an appointment to remove it.

Singer Avril Lavigne and her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, have bought the Bel-Air home formerly owned by Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler for $9.5 million.

According to the L.A. Times, Lavigne, 22, originally wanted to build a home but settled on the 12,000 square foot manse that the Barkers lived in while filming their MTV reality show Meet the Barkers.

The three-story gated house has eight bedrooms and 10 1/2 bathrooms. Built in Tuscan-style, the residence sits on one acre, has an elevator, an office, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a steam shower, a sauna, a pool, a spa and a 10-car garage.

Lavigne is currently selling her Beverly Hills home for $6.2 million.

The Canadian-born singer’s third album, The Best Damn Thing, is due out April 17. She will also be the musical guest on next weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, hosted by Shia LaBeouf.

Avril Lavigne wed Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley on Saturday afternoon at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., a source confirms to PEOPLE.

At the outdoor, non-denominational ceremony, Lavigne was walked down the aisle by her father, John, to Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” She wore a Vera Wang gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.

The couple said their vows under an awning decorated with white flowers in front of 110 guests, including family and friends from their native Ontario.

Once the groom had kissed the bride, guests tossed rose petals at the newlyweds as they walked back up the aisle.

After the wedding, guests were to be treated to an outdoor cocktail hour before the reception, including a sit-down dinner, under a tent on the estate. In contrast to the all-white ceremony, the reception will have a red theme, with centerpieces of red roses and other flowers.

The couple’s first dance is expected to be to the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”

Lavigne, 21, and Whibley, 26, have been together for two years, and became engaged in Venice, Italy, in June 2005, while Lavigne was on the last leg of her European tour.

In late 2004 Lavigne started sporting a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter “D” on her right wrist, supposedly for her guitarist-singer-lyricist beau.

When Whibley was spotted wearing a silver band on his left ring finger earlier this year, he shot down rumors that the pair had already tied the knot, telling Teen People, “I’ve been practicing (playing guitar) with it. â?¦ It’s fun to mess with the press.”

The bride has been especially busy these past few months. Besides preparing for the wedding and giving voice to a possum in the animated film Over the Hedge, Lavigne has a third album in the works. (Her first two albums were 2002′s Grammy-nominated Let Go and 2004′s Under My Skin.)

Of her new album, she told PEOPLE in May, “there’s going to be some love songs on there. That’s what I feel, so that’s what I’m going to end up writing.”

Below is a great shot of the rock – couldn’t resist

Canadian rock stars Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are tying the knot this weekend, canada.com has learned.

Sources claim the couple, who has been engaged for more than a year, plans to wed in California surrounded by friends and family.

Lavigneâ??s parents John and Judy and siblings Michelle and Matthew have made the trip from Napanee, Ontario to Santa Barbara for the special day. Also reportedly there for the nuptials is Whibleyâ??s mother Michelle.

The ceremony is expected to be traditional, with the bride wearing a designer white gown. The newlyweds and their guests will be able to cut loose, though, at a raucous reception that insiders claim will feature rock bands and circus performers.

Lavigne, 21, and Whibley, the 26-year-old lead singer of Sum 41, were friends for several years before they started dating in early 2004. Both had homes in Toronto but sold them and moved in to a luxury home in California.

Whibley proposed to Lavigne during her European tour last June.

Sources claim the couple moved the wedding date up by about a month because Lavigne might already be pregnant. The singer, who has said publicly she wants to have children, has reportedly been buying items for a nursery.

At her bachelorette party on June 30, Lavigne opened gifts that included handcuffs, pink 2Belles panties embroidered with â??The Mrs,â? and a bra, panties and camisole set from Cherish.

Lavigne, wearing a veil with devil horns, dined with Whibley and nearly two dozen friends at L.A.â??s upscale Koi before hitting Lobby nightclub.

Itâ??s the first marriage for both.
