ELIZABETH Hurley is a VIP and won’t settle for civilian treatment. She threw a hissy fit Thursday night on the ferry that was supposed to take her back to Manhattan from the Liberty Island celebration of Moet Champagne’s 120th anniversary. When guests were informed that they could not take any champagne on board, “everyone else graciously agreed to abide by the rules,” said our source. But an enraged Hurley refused to give up her magnum of Moet and three glasses, and held the boat at the dock for 20 minutes until security guards were finally able to get her to relinquish them.

Elizabeth Hurley is putting her acting career behind her to plant organic food on her English estate. The star has decided to develop her own range of organic foods on her vast property in the British countryside. Hurley must gain official organic status from the Soil Association but has already purchased “proper” sheep and chickens.

Hurley enthuses, “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done… it’s the only place I want to be. When we get our organic status we’re going to farm properly and we’re going to have a herd of cows and proper sheep and proper chickens, and we’re going to have small amounts of Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs. I’ve joined the breeders’ club already and I’m quite excited about it. I would like to go for some kind of organic food production and I plan to do it – maybe something Indian.”

Sounds like fancy words for growing hemp if you ask me.

Elizabeth Hurley has backtracked on her recent dismissal of wedding rumours – insisting the big day is “very close”, and she and tycoon lover Arun Nayar are already planning a family together.

The actress, 41, finally spoke out about the pending nuptials in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine – despite having previously rubbished speculation as “fiction”.

She says, “I cannot reveal to you the exact date but it is very close.

“We are even thinking of having a child”.

Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar are planning to tie the knot in September.

The pair are reportedly considering rural retreat Barnsley House in Gloucestershire for the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by celebrity guests including Elton John and Hurley’s ex Hugh Grant.

A source told The Mirror, “Liz and Arun love Barnsley House as they have stayed there before and they regularly eat in its restaurant. They have been in several times recently and it’s high on their list of possible venues. It’s a wonderful, discreet hotel that is well-used to celebrity clientele and perfect for intimate weddings.”

Hurley and Nayar have been together for three and a half years.
