Gwyneth Paltrow takes a page out of Oprah’s book in her latest GOOP newsletter and dishes out detox tips to her readers.
The self-proclaimed lifestyle maven explains how she got into tip-top shape: on a juice diet.

“I am finishing the amazing three-week-long ‘Clean’ detox program,” writes Paltrow.
“I feel pure and happy and much lighter.”

The 36-year-old Oscar winner cites slimming down as her motivation.

“I dropped the extra pounds that I had gained during a majorly fun and delicious ‘relax and enjoy life phase’ about a month ago.”

Paltrow turned to cardiologist and detoxification specialist Dr. Alejandro Junger for advice.

His tips include avoiding processed foods and allergens, eating processed foods and making “time for ‘detox-enhancing’ habits such as sauna, massage, hot and cold baths and skin brushing.”

“All of these improve circulation and increase perspiration, which help fuel your body’s natural cleansing system,” Junger writes.

Paltrow gives a final stamp of approval, saying the best part of the program is her renewed sense of energy.

“This program allowed me to work and exercise regularly, something I cannot do if I am on a liquid-only detox,” she says. “I followed it to the letter and I can report that it worked wonders.”

Would actress Gwyneth Paltrow leave her native country behind to live in the Spanish countryside?
In a New York minute, apparently.

The Oscar-winning actress professed her love for Spain in a recent interview, and managed to diss American culture in general and New Yorkers in particular.

“Spain has become a second home,” Paltrow said. “Here in the United States an old building is about 17 (years old), and over there it’s from 500 B.C. It’s incredible.

“Also, the way people live over there. They seem to enjoy life a little bit more. They aren’t running around as much as in New York.

“They enjoy time with the family. They don’t always have their BlackBerries on.”

Paltrow lived in Spain briefly as a teen and is fluent in Spanish.

The 36-year-old star, who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, wants her two kids, Apple and Moses, to speak Spanish as well.

She said she would love to act in her second tongue as well.

“I haven’t found the script yet,” she said, “but the first (movie) would have to be a small role, not very important, because I imagine I would have to get used to acting in Spanish.”

Currently, she is in filming for “Iron Man 2,” staring Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke.

THE claws are out on the set of Iron Man 2 with stars SCARLETT JOHANSSON and GWYNETH PALTROW going head to head.
Gwynny reckons her on-set rival is hogging the limelight and now sparks are flying between the movie’s two female leads.

One Hollywood source revealed yesterday: “Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett.

“They come from different worlds and have completely different styles.

“Gwyneth has found Scarlett very demanding of the attention of the crew. It’s not a happy set.”

Sounds to me like a clash of the Iron Ladies — and the luvvie A-listers are not for turning.

Gwyneth has been left exhausted by the politics and a series of strenuous scenes and and is now taking a two-week break from filming.

Hubby CHRIS MARTIN has lavished her with love and supported her at a dinner with friends in LA.

The couple have now left for the US east coast for COLDPLAY’s latest US dates.

In the film Gwyneth once again plays Pepper Potts, assistant to comic book hero Tony Stark (ROBERT DOWNEY JNR).

But for the sequel — out next year — film-makers opted to bring in Scarlett as Natasha Romanoff, a sexy former spy known as the Black Widow.

The on-set source added: “Gwyneth and Scarlett have never been particularly close.

“Gwyneth was looking forward to working with EMILY BLUNT, who was originally in line for the part, but it ended up being Scarlett. Gwyneth’s had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven’t developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point.

“In fact, it’s quite the opposite.”

While Scarlett has been donning sexy catsuits and carrying guns for the scenes shot so far, Gwyneth has mainly had to settle for prim business suits.

But she has been assured she will get her moment to come out all guns blazing in the flick’s action-packed finale.

The source went on: “The most spectacular sequence in the movie is a huge fight between Robert and MICKEY ROURKE, and she is going to be right in the thick of things.

“That section of the movie is going to be three straight weeks of filming in June.

“It is by far the most expensive sequence, the centrepiece of the whole project.

“Gwyneth’s break has come at a perfect time.

“She can recharge her batteries before returning for her chance to show who is boss.”

GWYNETH Paltrow claims her Web site, Goop, pulls in 150,000 subscribers – but the leggy celebrity isn’t getting all those readers on her own. It turns out that Goop.com is a client of controversial advertising guru Peter Arnell.

Arnell – who recently took heat for tinkering with the Pepsi logo, and for replacing the iconic “orange and straw” Tropicana packaging with a bland new look – lists Goop.com as one of his clients on Arnellgroup.com. Krista Freibaum originally blogged about the connection on her “littlekhole” blog on Web host Tumblr.com.

Arnell Group, which has repped Chrysler, DKNY and Con Ed, is likely “handling all branding, logos and layout of [Paltrow's] Web site, as well as her e-newsletter mailing,” an insider said. Goop.com also lists its address as 7 World Trade Center, which houses Arnell Group’s offices.

However, Arnell’s reputation as a hard-charging, aggressive ad man is a stark contrast to the Zen-like lifestyle Paltrow preaches.

On Wednesday night, the health nut chatted with Christy Turlington and Donna Karan (who showed up with her new, unidentified 25-year-old boyfriend) at the Bent on Learning charity event, hosted by alice + olivia fashionista Stacey Bendet. Paltrow, who’s opening a chic yoga studio in Greenwich Village, was there to support yoga programs in the city’s underserved public schools.

One guest overheard Paltrow say, “I don’t want to be the next Martha Stewart, I just want to share advice. Goop has 150,000 subscribers now.”

The snitch added, “Gwyneth was so happy and being friendly to everyone. She said that she and [husband] Chris Martin both love to do yoga, and that she missed the Oscars because her son, Moses, was sick.”

A spy at the event noted that guest Jennifer Connelly “spent the whole night frowning and barely got up from her table,” which she shared with husband Paul Bettany.

Every once in a while, Gwyneth Paltrow gets overwhelmed by the richness of her own life. “I think what stresses me out the most is trying to do so many things at once all the time, trying to be a good, present mother, trying to act, to cook,” Paltrow told us at the Bent on Learning gala last night. “I do a lot at once, and I think that sometimes the idea of trying to do all of that stresses me out a lot,” she says. Also, there’s traffic. “Traffic really fucking stresses me out,” Paltrow adds…

“Listen, I have a really blessed, weird, interesting life, and, you know, if my observations or the people that I get to meet are helping my friends, who are calling and saying I want to do this, or I want to go here, or what should I do, then I thought, well, it might be nice to share it with other people.”

Believe it or not, “holistic” journalist and Dragonfly Wellness founder Mary Kate Hearon claims the Oscar-winner took the idea for her lifestyle blog, Goop.com, from Hearon’s blog, TheWeeklyBeet.com.

As The Post’s Maureen Callahan reported, Paltrow grossed out the world last week when she blogged about how others can dress, cook and detox like her, bragging: “If your bowel movements get sluggish, you can accelerate things by drinking half a cup of castor oil or using a mild herbal laxative.”

But on her Facebook page, Hearon says: “This is pretty scandalous. People deserve to know [Paltrow's] idea isn’t her own – or creative, for that matter! . . . A few years ago, I had e-mailed Gwyneth’s best friend . . . when I was living in London (developing The Weekly Beet, which I started in 2004). I asked her to e-mail Gwyneth The Beet because I was excited for her to read it since she was one of the few celebs into alternative medicine.”

Hearon then met Paltrow, but “the way she treated me was so scary! She was sooooooo nasty to me, it was scandalous! [Husband] Chris [Martin], the utmost gentleman, stood to shake my hand, but she smirked and was silent when I asked how her dinner was . . . I never thought in a million years she’d . . . create her own site very similar to The Weekly Beet . . . [Goop has] the therapies I’ve tried, the foods I love, the detoxes that work! A lot of the same stuff!”

But Hearon seems off-base, as a comparison of the sites shows much less similarity than she claims. A friend of Paltrow told us, “She’s never even heard of [Hearon]. This is ridiculous.” Her rep declined comment.

Meanwhile, Martin is disputing rumors of a rift between him and Paltrow. He tells “60 Minutes”: “One week you’re divorced, the next your band’s broken up . . . It’s terrible. I’m glad I’m not me.”

You know that Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband, Chris Martin, is nominated for a bunch of Grammys this Sunday with his group Coldplay. Their song, “Viva La Vida,” is tipped to win big as is the album it comes from.

But Martin and his bandmates may be looking over their shoulders this Grammy weekend. The reason is that a lawyer representing musician Joe Satriani is sending teams of process servers all over town to hand them a plagiarism lawsuit.

Now, don’t shoot the messenger here: Satriani is claiming that Coldplay lifted his 2004 instrumental, “I Just Wanna Fly,” for the basic melody of “Viva La Vida.” Coldplay disputes this, and has issued a rebuke on their website.

But that hasn’t stopped Satriani or his attorney Howard King of King Paterno et al. The firm claims that Coldplay has dodged being served, and that the Grammys are the easiest forum at which to strike while the iron is hot.

King says, “We have warned their British lawyers that we have hired a fleet of process servers lined up to dog the band everywhere they go this weekend in the hopes of serving them.”

King even promises to have camera crews roaming around with the process servers to get the whole thing on tape.

What’s Coldplay’s way out of this mess? Maybe the easiest thing would be to just accept service and let a court decide what happened with “Viva La Vida.”

She has a TV show, lifestyle Web site, cosmetics contract and a gym on the way.

It seems like the only thing Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t doing these days is … acting.

For her latest venture, the “Iron Man” star is partnering up with friend and trainer Tracy Anderson to open a gym in Tribeca, her rep tells the Daily News.
Add that to running Goop.com, mugging for Estee Lauder and starring in the PBS TV series, “Spain … on the road Again” with Mario Batali and you’ve got one busy bee.

Paltrow isn’t slated to release another movie until 2010. Has she simply become too busy to pay attention to her day job?

It seems the stalled film career is at least in part a conscious decision.

“I haven’t starred in a film since my kids were born, and I don’t think I will,” the “Iron Man” star told Gotham magazine in its December issue. “I’ll never get these days back … I don’t want to miss them.”

But how long can she put off acting before a slack movie career hurts her other deals?

Gwyneth and fellow stars looking to branch out shouldn’t forget the paths that led them to fame, says Steven Simon, VP of talent representation at Prince Marketing Group.

“Endorsements are just an easy way to supplement your income in your spare time,” he says. “I don’t think they can ever replace your day job.”
When a star is hot, Simons says, the sky’s the limit – and everyone benefits.

“These celebrities can and should seize every opportunity while they’re available,” Simon says.

But if Paltrow is looking push acting aside in favor of becoming an Oprah or Martha, she needs to tie things together.

If Paltrow wants to become a brand, “She’s going to have to do is transcend who she is,” says Evan Morgenstein, president of talent management agency Premier Management Group. “There’s an aloofness associated with her.”

Morgenstein also notes that “there’s a lot of disjointed parts in her portfolio.”

“Estee Lauder is an iconic brand that gives her visibility to a core group of women. The cooking show, Web site, gym – how do those all tie together?”
So, what’s Paltrow’s current message? She’s a fit mama who loves to live the good life.

But in order to capitalize on that image – and take her business ventures to the next level – she needs to keep cranking out those films.
Says Simon: “If you’re not hot, it’s hard to find those opportunities.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is desperately trying to save her troubled marriage.

Amid recent reports of their rocky romance, Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, are holed up in their London home “trying to make their marriage better,” a close friend of the couple tells us.

The Oscar-winner is so committed, “she’s staying overseas until the holidays are over,” even forgoing events she typically loves, like tonight’s third annual Food Bank Lunchbox Auction bash. She usually hosts the event with close friend Mario Batali.

“Gwyneth says she’s totally fine,” her pal tells us. “She’s used the phrase ‘perfectly happy’ a bunch of times, and refuses to read any of the tabloid tales to the contrary.”

But despite Paltrow’s claim that everything is smooth sailing, we hear Madonna may be the thorn in her marriage’s side. “Gwyneth has the Madonna bug… bad,” the pal says. “It’s eerie. Gwyneth acts normally until Madonna comes around, and then Gwyn is all about Madonna, all the time. Madge has even introduced Gwyneth to all her friends.

“Now instead of going to see Chris perform, she’d rather hang out with people like Alex Rodriguez and Ingrid Casares.”

When contacted for comment, Gwyneth’s rep said the claims of Madonna’s influence were “complete nonsense.” Madonna’s rep also issued a denial. But if Gwyneth does succumb to Madonna’s mystical powers, there’s one bright side: Guy Ritchie will have a new drinking partner at the pub.
