It was only two weeks ago that Hayden Panettiere admitted she was no longer seeing T4 host Steve Jones, dismissing their Cannes fling as ‘a bit of fun’.

But it appears the Welsh TV presenter, 32, has convinced the Heroes actress, 19, to give their burgeoning relationship another try after flying to Los Angeles to visit her.

The handsome couple were spotted kissing and cuddling as they dined with friends at trendy Studio City eaterie Firefly on Friday night.

After spending a blissful week together in London and Cannes in May, the couple appeared to go their separate ways last month, with Hayden returning to Hollywood and Steve remaining in Britain.

But it seems they are trying to make things work, despite the 5,400-mile distance and 13-year age gap.

Perhaps in a demonstration things are getting serious, Hayden introduced Steve to some of her friends as they dined on California cuisine at the busy restaurant/bar.

In between bites, Steve lovingly stroked Hayden’s face and legs as they chatted to the friends.

When the $270 bill arrived, the pair squabbled over who should pay, with Hayden – who clearly earns more than her new beau – finally getting out her credit card.

By the end of the night, Hayden was cosied up on Steve’s lap as she signed for the bill – their first public display of affection.
Hayden and Steve were first linked back in early May when they were spotted dining with Elton John’s husband David Furnish at Nobu in London.

A week later, they spent several days together sunbathing on yacht on the French Riviera during the Cannes Film Festival.

But by early July, it emerged the pair had reportedly ended their summer fling, with Hayden insisting she was ’single and mingling’.

She said: ‘Steve lives in London, the distance is a bit too much. Cannes was a great experience. I was on vacation and some friends were going so I decided to come along. It was fun.’

Hayden’s relationship with Steve comes five months after she split from her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia, 32, after a year-long relationship.

Prior to Milo, she also dated Laguna Beach reality TV star Stephen Colletti.

In a recent interview with American magazine Seventeen, Hayden admitting she hadn’t a clue about the dating game: ‘I don’t know how to date. I’m not good at learning that sometimes you don’t like someone in that way – and figuring out how to deal with that. I don’t want to hurt his feelings.

‘Right now, I’m just enjoying having fun. It’s when you’re not looking for anything that something winds up coming along, whether it’s a best friend or a guy.’

Steve, who has been linked to Pamela Anderson, Halle Berry and Fearne Cotton in recent years, is remaining coy over his relationship with Hayden.

He said: ‘I’ve never talked about my personal life and I think it would be hypocritical to start now.’

Hayden Panettiere found fame in the cult US TV show Heroes as a strong-willed teenager.

But in real life the actress feels much more grown up, as she shows in her latest photoshoot for In Sight magazine.

Despite being only 19 blonde-haired Hayden reveals she is planning a large family.

‘I always said I want four kids – I love kids,’ she said.

‘I would love to be a mum and to have a family – for Italians, it’s the most important thing you can have.’

But Hayden says she would not want her children to follow her into the acting world.

‘I think you have to be a pretty strong person to enter the industry that young and not be affected by it,’ she said.
‘I was lucky, but I’d never want my kids to be subject to that much criticism at such a young age.’

However Hayden may have to wait before she starts her family.

Last month she broke up with her 31-year-old Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia, with sources citing the 12-year age gap as a factor.

Rumours of their romance first circulated when they were seen kissing at an Emmys party in September 2007 – and by the end of the year, they were regularly seen out together at showbiz events.

Milo had previously denied rumours of a relationship with the star, who was then 18.

In Heroes Hayden plays the character Claire Bennet, who has the ability to regenerate, while Milo plays her uncle Peter Petrelli, who is able to take on other characters’ superpowers.

Hayden Panettiere lost her cool at an event in Hawaii over the weekend.

The 19-year-old Heroes star — who recently split with Milo Ventimiglia because of her club-going ways — was testy when she first stepped on the red carpet at a fundraiser benefiting the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation Sunday in Honolulu.

“Back up!” she yelled at photographers.

After posing for photos, she brushed by reporters.

A female television reporter touched her shoulder and asked, “May we talk with you, Hayden?”

Miffed, the actress jerked her head around and screamed, “Don’t you ever touch me!”

She then icily asked a red carpet handler, “Oh, am I supposed to do interviews?”

Approaching various media outlets, she snapped again: “You all make my life miserable” and refused to answer any questions.

After the red carpet, Panettiere hung out in a private cabana with Justin Long and his brother. She then moved to a private dining room, where she and Long sat across from one another, chatting for more than an hour.

Heroes costars Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia have called it quits, Usmagazine.com has learned.

“It was a lifestyle conflict,” a source close to the couple tells Us, adding that the split happened within the last week. “They were in very different places.”

Adds the insider, “They are still on friendly terms. There are no hard feelings.”

The source tells Us that Panettiere, 19, “is young. She likes to go out in the Hollywood scene and that’s not his style.”

Ventimiglia, 31, “has been concentrating on work on his production company [Divide Pictures],” the source adds.

The two, who began dating in 2008, had been an open secret for months – in part because of their 12-year age gap.

Hayden Panettiere’s father pled no contest to misdemeanor battery, TMZ.com reported Thursday.

Alan faced a judge in a Beverly Hills courtroom on Tuesday. He was arrested in August on a charge of felony domestic violence for allegedly hitting wife Lesley in the cheek, leaving a visible bruise. They were spotted arguing at a Hollywood charity benefit earlier in the night.

Police were summoned to their West Hollywood home at 3:15 a.m. after the incident.

Alan received 24 months probation, $400 in fines and must attend a year of domestic violence counseling, according to TMZ.

A protective order against him also remains in place.

Both Alan and Lesley have been downplaying the arrest.

“It was all a big misunderstanding,” Alan recently told Extra.

Although a police report claims Alan struck Lesley three times, the couple insist “nothing actually happened.

“[We] love each other very much and want everyone to know that the matter was completely blown out of proportion,” they told Extra.

Extra reported that Hayden found out about her dad’s arrest when he called her from jail.

Panettiere’s rep had no response to news of her father’s plea.
