Hulk Hogan almost broke down last night on “Larry King,” but his outrageous behavior over his derelict son’s criminal behavior was in full blossom.

For starters, Hulk said he felt Nick’s accident, which put friend John Graziano in a vegetative state, was God’s plan to make John a better person.

As for Larry…..no questions about Hulk going to Hooters after the sentencing, no questions about rubbing his daughter’s ass, no questions about Linda saying she was the real victim. Oh well.

Celebrity news site TMZ discovered a taped conversation between Linda Hogan and her incarcerated son, Nick, that revealed the mother of the accused has little sympathy for the victim’s family.

Nick, who was convicted of reckless driving following a 2007 car crash that left his friend John Graziano critically injured, is currently serving eight months in a Florida jail. On the tape, Nick could be heard complaining about his jail time, telling his mother, “I’m just sitting here counting the minutes on my damn fingers,” before Linda took over the conversation.

“I just feel so bad that you’re there, because, truthfully Nick, you don’t deserve to be there and, ultimately, John doesn’t deserve to be where he is,” Linda assured her son. “But you know what? You guys were best friends, and (John’s mother) Debbie didn’t know you. Neither did (John’s father) Ed. They didn’t know you.”

In fact, Linda doesn’t believe John’s parents even knew their own son very well. “I knew him better than his own mother knew him. Would you agree on that? I mean, anybody would agree.”

Hulk’s soon-to-be ex even claimed her own grief is greater than that of the victim’s family. “(Debbie) has no other recourse other than to be nasty and vindictive now, because if she really knew you, if she really knew the relationship between you, John and (another friend), she’d be sad right now. She wouldn’t be mad. You know, she’d be devastated like I am. She’s not sad; she’s just acting angry, like she wants some money. John never meant anything to her or Ed. It’s sad because I really appreciated you kids, I miss John, and I miss you, too. It’s like she’s not suffering. I am. I have a loss. She didn’t give two sh–s.”

Hulk Hogan’s 17-year-old son Nick Hogan was recently sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading no contest to charges of reckless driving in an accident that left his close friend critically injured. But friends of the “Hogan Knows Best” family are more concerned about his 20-year-old sister, Brooke Hogan, according to our source.

“She’s suffering the worst of all; she just can’t keep it together and has been hit the hardest,” said the source, adding that Brooke is “extremely sensitive” and her emotions are spiraling out of control. Brooke’s relationship with her father was severely strained after his reported infidelity with her former friend made news in February.

While our source said that Nick’s arrest has “brought them a little closer to reconciliation,” it’s not the case for Hulk and his wife, Linda. The estranged couple appeared together at Nick’s hearing on May 9, where Linda even flashed her wedding ring, apparently for the first time since news of the reported affair broke.

“Basically they were trying to put their best foot forward and fake a public image of unity and support for their son,” our insider said. “He [Hulk] is a very astute businessman and very good at playing the media — he even admitted in court that their reality show was scripted and not so real after all.”

But it seems it was his family’s fascination with fame that led to the show getting off the ground in the first place, with Hulk even admitting to Pop Tarts just days before his son’s final hearing that he “warned” them all against appearing on national television.

“I was offered lots of [reality] shows when I was making my career comeback against The Rock, but I kept saying no. But years later, it was my daughter’s career and son’s racing career that we were thinking about.

“We saw the Ashlee Simpson show and Jessica Simpson’s and Lindsay Lohan on the big screen and we just didn’t haven’t a vehicle to compete,” he said. “But I considered it, because this time it was about the Hogan family rather than Hulk Hogan; they all wanted to do it and I tried to warn them about what they were in for. Now look what happened.”

So it seems that their “reality” show could have played a large role in the family’s demise and consequently Nick’s misbehavior.

“Producers will employ whatever is necessary to entertain by creating and exposing drama, conflict and escalated emotions,” said human behavior expert Patrick Wanis, who coached the star-studded family during their VH1 series.

“The constant attention, adulation and power can easily become addictive and overpowering and can lead to narcissism,” Wanis said. “The rush of the fame and power can prevent someone from stopping and thinking about the possible consequences of one’s actions.”

Best known for laying the smack-down, Hulk Hogan showed his softer side this week in Miami Beach – splashing around with new girlfriend Jennifer McDaniel.

“He’s very happy,” a source tells PEOPLE. “He just seems very happy. His mood has changed. He’s in a better place.”

Hogan (real name Terry Gene Bollea), 54, whose wife Linda Bollea, 46, filed for divorce in November, reportedly met McDaniel around the first of the year.

And while Hogan hasn’t publicized his relationship, the two are spending a lot of time together. Besides their latest frolic in south Florida (both live in the Sunshine State), the duo went to New Orleans Mardi Gras together, were in Los Angeles last week to film a promo for NBC, and McDaniel is expected to accompany Hogan to L.A. for the next few weeks while he films the new season of American Gladiators.

“I hear she’s very sweet and nice and a very good influence on him,” the source adds. “He’s in a much better place.”

Hogan’s rep had no comment.

Pro wrestling and reality TV star Hulk Hogan was sued in Florida on Monday by the family of a man who was critically injured in the crash of a car driven by Hogan’s teenage son.

The suit filed in Pinellas County by the parents of John Graziano says Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was responsible for the August 26 crash in Clearwater, Florida, because he knew his son liked to speed and race other drivers.

Nick Bollea, 17, has been charged with reckless driving. No trial date has been set.

Clearwater police said that Nick Bollea was racing a friend, Daniel Jacobs. Witnesses told investigators they saw the two cars speeding on wet roads before one of them hit a tree. Graziano was a passenger in Bollea’s car.

The suit also names Hogan’s wife, Linda Bollea, Nick Bollea and Jacobs as defendants. Linda Bollea has filed for divorce from her husband.

Edward and Debra Graziano did not ask for a specific amount of damages but said John, 23, may need millions of dollars to pay for medical care for the rest of his life. He remains hospitalized with head injuries.

“He never will be fully the John he was before,” George Tregos, an attorney for the parents, said at a news conference.

Hogan, his wife and son, and their daughter Brooke are in the reality TV show “Hogan Knows Best” on the VH1 network.

Hulk Hogan has devastated wife Linda and their children by cheating on his spouse with one of daughter Brooke’s closest friends, The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively.

And the blockbuster development threatens to further inflame the already explosive divorce battle between the wrestling superstar and his wife of 24 years.

Hulk’s extramarital relationship with 33-year-old Christiane Plante was common knowledge among some of the crew of his reality series Hogan Knows Best — but Linda, Brooke and son Nick were all completely oblivious, say sources.

And when The ENQUIRER questioned the Hulkster’s mistress at her Miami Beach apartment — where pals say Hulk picks up the tab — Christiane broke into tears and confessed to the affair that has shredded the Hogan family.

“I’m terribly sorry for what occurred,” Christiane Plante told The ENQUIRER.

In an exclusive interview, Christiane apologized for hurting Hulk’s wife and daughter. The ENQUIRER also discovered that she wrote an apology letter to Brooke Hogan, her former best friend.

“It was never my intention to hurt Terry’s and Linda’s wonderful, funny, sweet, loving, beautiful and talented daughter Brooke,” Christiane told The ENQUIRER.

“My relationship with Terry began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending. She had left him already, although no official papers had been filed.

“Terry is a good man, good father and good friend, and he and I grew close at a time when he was going through a very difficult period. It seemed right then, but I know it was wrong.

When contacted by The ENQUIRER, Hulk said: “I’ve got nothing to say. I just want to protect my family.”

Despite competition from the Super Bowl, thousands of revelers lined up along streets Sunday as New Orleans wrapped up a big Carnival weekend with another day of parades leading up to Tuesday’s finale.

A second round of gunfire that marred Saturday night’s parade did not appear to deter Sunday’s merrymakers.

“It’s a family party in this area,” said John Wilson, 47, who was cooking burgers along the uptown parade route. “We come every year and have never had a problem.”

Five people were shot Saturday night shortly after the Endymion parade had passed nearby. Two teenagers were arrested. Police said the suspects and possibly two of the victims had been arguing. The injuries were not life threatening.

It was the second time during the big Carnival weekend that gunfire broke out on a parade route. On Friday night, a man was shot in the arm out along a parade route, police said.

On Sunday, dozens of police were visible on almost every block of the uptown parade route.

The atmosphere was relaxed, children sat atop ladders to catch beads, and people strolled the streets laughing and talking, many with food or drinks in hand.

Crowds lined historic St. Charles Avenue before dawn, setting up tents and setting out lawn chairs for the duration.

Four parades rolled through the city before Bacchus, one of the “Super Krewes,” with almost three dozen glitzy floats, 36 bands and Hulk Hogan as the celebrity monarch.

“We came for the duration,” said David Segueria, 22, who was setting up a 32-inch television along with his barbecue pit and generator. “Can’t be better than this, Bacchus and the Super Bowl.

“I don’t have to move until a streetcar comes through and that won’t be until after midnight,” he said.

Like Segueria, many intended to combine the parade and the game. Televisions dotted the street, but not everyone intended to stay.

“I’m going home for the game,” said Patrick Wadkins, of Jefferson, La., who had been out since 6 a.m. “I may not get to see it though. When you start on bloody Marys at nine and beer at noon, you may not be awake by kickoff.”

As darkness fell, Joe Nicholas and his friends dragged themselves away from their television set as Hulk Hogan, wearing a gold, sleeveless vest, red, knee-length tights and a black headscarf tossed doubloons to the crowd.

“This is all about planning,” Nicholas said. “Between floats we watch the game. Otherwise we’re all about getting as much loot as we can.”

The divorce between Hulk Hogan and his wife is getting ugly.

Hogan, also known as Terry Bollea and his wife Linda have been going through divorce proceedings during since November.

This week, Linda asked a judge to stop her estranged husband from spending any of the $10 million he received in the sale of one of their homes.

She asked that all of his accounts be frozen.

But that’s not all.

According to Bay News 9′s partner newspaper, The St. Petersburg Times, Linda Bollea is accusing the former wrestling star of trying to trick her into signing a post-nuptial agreement. Linda Bollea also has accused him of other “legal shenanigans.’

As a result, Linda Bollea reportedly removed $1.5 million from the couple’s accounts, although she said she has not spent it. Linda Bollea’s petition for divorce in Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Court seeks half of the couple’s assets. They were married in 1985.
