As the quest for the First Dog continues, Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx thinks he’s come up with the perfect solution for the President-elect and his family.

“A pitbull,” the entertainer says.

Jokes Foxx: “(I’m) trying to pick out Barack Obama’s Christmas puppy right now, so we’re working hard on that. I think I’m going to get him a pitbull, we just got to keep it street.”

Foxx made the comments after performing at the annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting in New York last week.

He says: “I’m just celebrating Barack Obama (and) celebrating the new president,” he said.

Jamie Foxx needs no help getting dressed for trial – the actor has apparently reached a settlement with a former stylist who sued him. Documents filed Wednesday in Los Angeles show that attorneys for stylist Stacy Young and Foxx have reached an undisclosed agreement. Young helped Foxx primp for the 2006 BET Awards and a press junket for the film “Miami Vice.”

Her lawsuit claimed that she was never paid for the work or her costs.

Foxx’s attorneys denied the claims, saying Universal Studios, not Foxx, hired Young for the “Miami Vice” work.

Young’s attorney says their camp is “pleased” about the settlement, but declined to offer details. Foxx’s attorney did not respond to phone and e-mail messages left Thursday.

This year Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver, Terrell Owens celebrated his birthday by giving back to 81 needy families in the Dallas community. Proceeds raised will benefit The Terrell Owens Catch A Dream Foundation’s 1st Annual “December to Remember” Holiday Fundraiser.

“I did it when I was in Philadelphia around my birthday,” said Owens, who turns 34 on Friday. “I wanted to help people and I couldn’t do it in my second year in Philly, so I decided to do it this year.”

Guests who walked across the red carpet were asked to bring a teddy bear that would be donated to a children’s hospital.

Owens arrived at the event with actor/singer Jamie Foxx, who is from Terrell and a big Cowboys fan.

Foxx promised to sing for the people who attended the party.

“I’m here to support him and do whatever he wants me to do,” Foxx said as he walked across the red carpet. “He’s a Cowboy, and I’m from Texas, and it’s a good fit.”

When asked what she got her son for his birthday, Owens’ mother, Marilyn Heard, said: “Me and my love.”

Among the Cowboys in attendance were Tony Romo, Jason Witten and DeMarcus Ware.

Romo, who has been linked recently to singer/actress Jessica Simpson, came alone.

“No date for me,” he said. “I’m not going to talk about my personal life tonight.”

Other celebrities on hand included actresses Kenya Moore and Elise Neal, and singer Michelle Williams. Tennis star Serena Williams and former Cowboys receiver and Hall of Famer Michael Irvin also showed up.

Owens, who held his birthday bash in Hollywood last year, enjoyed the scene.

“Dallas is home for me and I wanted to show off some of my celebrity friends,” he said.
