“Extra’s” Mario Lopez recently sat down with “Q’Viva: The Chosen” executive producers Jamie King, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez — who proudly talked about the high level of talent that was discovered on the reality show, saying, “I can’t tell you how many people came up there, from so many different countries and said, ‘Thank you so much for doing this. I feel so proud to be Latino.’”

Lopez said “Q’Viva” will showcase “what our people are all about.”

Marc revealed Colombia as the country with the most amount of talented competitors, while Lopez “thought it was Argentina.” Without giving too much away, Lopez and Anthony pointed out that “Q’Viva” isn’t like other talent competition shows where the hopefuls flock to a giant audition. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Marc said, “We would literally go to their address and knock on their door.”

King added, “We’re like talent scouts, in a way.”

J.Lo, who signed up for a second season on “American Idol,” expressed her excitement for the upcoming season, and said she has been busy with filming and “working on new music. A lot of stuff.”

Lopez also revealed that Anthony had previewed some of her new songs, and smiled, “Oh, yeah, I played something for him the other day. I wanted to get his opinion.” Marc responded, “Loved it. Get ready!”

Although the two are no longer married, Lopez explained they still “respect each other’s artistic opinion.”

As far as parenting their twins, Emme and Max, Anthony happily said, “School! They’re in school… and their stories… let’s just leave it at that.”

When Mario noted how “cool it is to see you guys get along and work together and move forward,” Jennifer replied, “We’ve always been friends. We were friends before anything, and we’ll be friends… always. Working together was how we first met, so that’s the easy part.”

Jennifer Lopez may be taking her blossoming relationship slow, but new beau Casper Smart apparently likes to move fast.

New reports show that before meeting the sexy singer, the Anaheim, Calif. native racked up a number of run-ins with the law.

According to E! News, Smart, whose real name is Beau Paul Smart, was charged with driving without a valid license in 2004, 2006 and 2007, as well as evading electronic toll charges in 2005 and exceeding maximum speeds of 65 miles per hour in 2004 and 2005.

The 24-year-old was recently arrested and charged with taking part in an illegal highway drag race and is currently out on $26,000 bail. In March, he pleaded no contest to the charge and was ordered to do 10 days of community service before his next court date on Jan. 5. If he doesn’t finish in time, Smart faces up to 90 days in behind bars and a $500 fine.

Regardless, Smart’s new romance with Lopez seems to be going strong.

“It’s pretty serious,” a source told E! “They’re together a lot. She’s never been happier.”

And while many suspect Smart has ulterior motives for dating the A-Lister, the insider said Lopez’s fame is not an issue.

“He’s totally cool,” the source added. “He’s not jaded. He’s not asking Jennifer to buy him this or that. He’s courting her, like sending her flowers. I think his intentions are in the right place.”

Jennifer Lopez is ready for kids again … just as soon as she’s sure her marriage is stable.

Although J.Lo isn’t currently pregnant (we caught her sipping a glass of Champagne at Topshop’s opening), the megastar is gearing up to expand her brood. “I could talk for a year about my kids,” she said afterward at the dinner at Balthazar, adding that the best thing about being a mom is “everything!”

Hubby Marc Anthony was more vocal about his desire to have a larger family right away. “I hope [we have more kids on the way] soon!” he told us, earning an enthusiastic nod from his wife of nearly five years.

The couple appears to be in perfect harmony. During Wednesday night’s fete, the two even chorused to Jennifer Hudson’s “I Love You I Do.” But insiders say that despite outward appearances, Lopez is desperately trying to save her marriage.

“Jennifer is determined to make it work with Marc,” a source close to the couple confides. “But these two have serious, serious issues. Jennifer feels like Marc is holding her career back, and she was sick of his social butterfly mentality while she stayed at home with the twins. There are times when she’s had it, and close to ending it. She’ll throw down her ring and say, ‘That’s it.’ But when Marc realizes he’s about to lose her, he comes right back to Mommy. She enhances his life — she’s a huge star and good for him, and he does love her. And really, all their fighting makes for some fiery passion in the bedroom.”

And while J.Lo has always wanted a big family, she isn’t ready to make that commitment until she’s certain she and Marc will last.

“She wants to make sure her marriage is secure before she has more kids,” says the pal. “Jennifer needs to ascertain that Marc will assume his half of the parental responsibility.

“She will never give up the red carpet, and certainly doesn’t want to be barefoot and pregnant, locked down or locked up. She wants to give [1-year-olds Max and Emme] siblings, but she loves the attention of the spotlight. She does not want to be a stay-at-home mom.”

The Bronx native borrowed $50,000 worth of diamonds from Robert Mouawad to attend the launch of Andrea Lieberman’s fashion line, ALC, at Barneys in Beverly Hills last week.

Gwen Stefani, Leah Remini and Ellen Pompeo also borrowed baubles from the Swiss jeweler, for whom Lieberman also designs. The next day, the other celebs returned their bling, but J.Lo didn’t.

“We received a call from [her manager] Benny Medina, informing us that Jennifer was going to keep the jewelry,” an insider said. “As far as Mr. Mouawad is concerned, Jennifer can have whatever she wants, but a premature demand seemed presumptuous.”

There’s no ill will, however. “Mr. Mouawad is the Swiss billionaire who purchased the 60-carat flawless Mondera Diamond for $50 million,” said our source. “He will lose no sleep over $50,000, and frankly, Jennifer’s endorsement is priceless.”

Medina, reached in Santiago, Chile – where J.Lo’s hubby, Marc Anthony, was being honored and performing sold-out shows – told Page Six: “There was no demand whatsoever. There was an offer. It was very clear.” In return for hosting the show for her friend, Lopez would be given the entire collection of jewelry and clothes, he said.

“She was the only celebrity whose name was on the invite. She would have done it for nothing,” Medina explained. “But this was how it was presented. It was quite a generous offer.”

Sharon Stone must be as green as an emerald with envy. In 1993, Harry Winston Inc. sued her for the return of a $400,000 necklace she wore while promoting “Sliver.” Stone had claimed it was a gift.

And Paris Hilton wore a $160,000 bracelet loaned by Kwiat to the 2003 Oscars. It had a broken clasp, she said, so she put it in a friend’s car, where it was stolen. Kwiat sued the celebutante, and she reportedly wrote a $100,000 check to cover the loss.

The last time the public were treated to a sight of Jennifer Lopez’s baby twins Max and Emme, magazines had paid $6million for the privilege.

But fans attending the New York concert of J.Lo’s husband Marc Anthony got to see the babies for the bargain price of their concert ticket.

Halfway through his gig at Madison Square Garden on Valentine’s Day, Jennifer stunned fans when she walked on stage carrying their twins, who will turn one this Sunday.

While mum Jennifer kept it short and sexy in a little black dress and Christian Louboutin high heels, the twins were dressed to the nines for their first on-stage experience.

Max was dressed in a black suit and bow tie, while Emme was adorned in an oversized pink frilly dress and matching bow in her short brown curls.

The twins, who look remarkably like their father, were wide-eyed and shy as they faced the thousands of screaming fans.

Throughout the concert, the 39-year-old watched her husband, 40, in action from the front row, while the children were kept in the quieter backstage area, presumably with a family member or nanny.

After the concert, the twins were put to bed – giving mum and dad some time alone at top Manhattan restaurant Cipriani.

The family scene on stage couldn’t have been more different from the press reports surrounding the couple two months ago.

In December, it was claimed the couple would announce their split on Valentine’s Day, ironically the same day Jennifer’s ex-boyfriend Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs announced the end of their relationship eight years ago.

The couple, who have been married for four years, renewed their vows in a ‘spur of the moment’ decision during an early morning ceremony in the penthouse suite of Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas last October.

Jennifer and Marc’s first marriage was a low-key, secret ceremony in the back garden of her Beverly Hills home.

The ceremony came just four months after J.Lo announced she had ended her engagement to Ben Affleck.

But on Saturday, the couple looked every inch the happily married couple, with Jennifer showing off the wedding ring she has often removed in recent months.

Attending the Golden Globes in January, her ring was noticeably absent, fuelling reports at the time their marriage was in trouble.

But the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer simply insisted the pricey gem didn’t go with her gold outfit.

She said: ‘Every time I’m not wearing my ring, people think I’m getting divorced. Divorce is not, and never was, an option.’

The couple’s marriage is the third for Jennifer and second for Marc, who has three children from previous relationships.

The Out Of Sight actress was previously married to Cuban waiter Ojani Noa for 10 months in the late 1990s and choreographer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003.

Marc has two sons Cristian, eight, and Ryan, five, with ex-wife Dayanara Torres, who he divorced four days before marrying Jennifer, and a 14-year-old daughter Ariana with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado.

Jennifer Lopez’s excuse for not wearing her engagement and wedding rings at the Golden Globes earlier this month was that they simply didn’t go with her dress.

She and 3rd husband Marc Anthony have denied the persistent rumours of marital strife but NOW can reveal that Jennifer, 39, has secretly seen a lawyer to investigate the logistics of a divorce.

‘She and Marc are fighting like cat and dog over everything,’ reveals a source.

The proof of this was never more evident than on New Years’ Eve, when a spat at the La Concha hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, turned embarrassingly public just after midnight.

A furious looking Marc ‘was wagging his finger in [Jennifer’s] face and appeared to be scolding her’, an eyewitness revealed. ‘She looked miserable.’

Many of the couple’s ongoing disputes are over how to raise 11-month-old twins Max and Emme.

Marc is a devout Catholic, as was Jennifer when they met. But in the past two years she’s developed an interest in Scientology – of which her father David is a devotee – with the help of her best friend, 38-year-old actress Leah Remini.

One source says: ‘J-Lo feels that it would be beneficial for them to have Scientology in their lives. She keeps arguing that her father is the most decent man she knows and she’d be happy if her twins grow up with even some of his values. J-Lo has even said she would consider sending them to a Scientology school.’

Jennifer Lopez has an itty-bitty problem with her absentee wedding ring explanation.

The singer-actress poo-poos reports that her marriage to Marc Anthony is on the rocks in the new issue of In Touch Weekly, telling the mag that she occasionally leaves her 8.2 carat Neil Lane engagement ring at home because it doesn’t go with her outfit.

“Every time I’m not wearing my ring, people think I’m getting divorced,” says Lopez, who doffed her diamond for the Golden Globes.

“That’s crazy! It just didn’t go with the dress.”

Oh, really?!

Lopez made waves in early December when she hit the red carpet for the premiere of “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” sans her significant bauble, reportedly worth $1 million.

And she was wearing … white.

Lopez doesn’t seem to have anything against the neutral tone: The 39-year-old flashed the ring while wearing white on at least four separate occasions in September.

She has also paired her platinum sparkler with gold jewelry and accessories in the past.

Despite multiple reports to the contrary, the thrice-married singer denies that the couple is headed for Splitsville.

“Divorce is not — and was never — an option,” she says.

Sources have said the twosome plan to split after their big Valentine’s Day show at Madison Square Garden.

Lopez and Anthony , who are parents to 11-month-old twins Max and Emme, wed in a secret ceremony in 2004.
