THE bitterness between Joe Francis and Samantha Ronson that erupted at the VMA Awards last month is getting worse. On today’s “Tyra Banks Show,” the “Girls Gone Wild” czar calls Lindsay Lohan’s deejay girlfriend “very jealous. Samantha tried to start a fight with me. I care about Lindsay – she’s not gay. She’s being controlled by this . . . wretched woman, this Samantha.” Told by Page Six of Francis’ cracks, Ronson fumed: “I think he’s one of the more disgusting human beings in the world because of what he does . . . He’s a [bleep]bag.” Ronson says when Francis approached their table during a VMA party, “He said hello to Lindsay and looked over at me as if I wasn’t a human being. He’s got no manners.” On her blog a few weeks back, Lohan ranted, “Joe Francis has no place in saying anything about Samantha . . . especially after all the [bleep] he has done.” Ronson told us: “He should find something else to talk about.”

One of Hugh Hefner’s “Girls Next Door” took a break from the Playboy Mansion to hang with “Girls Gone Wild” chief Joe Francis in Miami. They were making out at Karu&Y on Friday before Francis went to club Heathrow. There, an onlooker said, “He was texting Kendra on his BlackBerry all night until she finally showed up at 2 a.m. . . . they stayed out until 5.” Francis told us, “If you were Kendra and you looked at the Playboy stock price lately [which closed at $3.94 yesterday, down from $12 a year ago], wouldn’t you think about upgrading, too?”

When Joe Francis stopped by the Hollywood Party Girl show yesterday, he went wild when asked about Lindsay Lohan, claiming that her constant companion Samantha Ronson is so jealous of any of L.L.’s male friends that she almost punched him.

“Lindsay’s straight,” he offered. “I think Sam has taken ownership of Lindsay. I think if Sam were to let Lindsay go even that much; Lindsay would revert back to being straight.”

Ronson’s rep declined to comment saying, “We don’t comment on stuff like that,” while LiLo’s rep has yet to respond.

Francis was reported to have dated Linds in her prerehab days and she even vacationed at his Casa Aramara mansion in Mexico.
As for the rumor that he swapped spit with Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day at a VMA afterparty last weekend…

“Who is that? Can we Google that?” he asked, before explaining that if he did make out with her, it’s only because “it’s how I say hi.”

And what about Paris Hilton, whom he supposedly hooked up with a while back?

“Is it true that we’ve dated?” he asked. “Absolutely. The sex tapes are all over the Internet.”

That Joe Francis, always keeping it classy.

THEY’RE a couple made in cheese-monkey heaven. Last week at the House of Hype VMA party in Laurel Canyon, perma-tanned Danity Kane singer Aubrey O’Day made out with “Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis in a Ciroc Vodka cabana while Robin Thicke performed onstage. Not that we expect this pairing to last – Francis goes through girls like chewing gum.

JOE Francis will not be joining Joan Rivers and gorgeous golfer Natalie Gulbis on “Celebrity Apprentice.” Though Donald Trump wanted the “Girls Gone Wild” man on the show, NBC brass allegedly encountered resistance from spon sors and vetoed Francis, who spent 10 months in prison after being accused of using under age girls in his raunchy videos. Francis told Page Six: “Donald Trump and I decided to do a different show. I would have added a lot to ‘Celebrity Ap prentice,’ and I would have been excited to do it, but I’m more excited by this other idea.”

Holly Montag, the older sister of dopey Heidi Montag from “The Hills,” has been assistant to the “Girls Gone Wild” man since his release from jail in March. “His last assistant quit,” said our insider. “And Joe aggressively sought out Holly to work for him.” Another source told us, “She’s running his life.” Francis – who will do battle on “Celebrity Apprentice,” and might also appear on “The Hills” this season – told us, “Holly is fantastic, probably the best assist ant I have ever had.”

Ashley Alexandra Dupré, the New Jersey woman at the center of the New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer call-girl scandal, filed suit Monday against Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis and his film company – claiming he exploited her name and image for profit.

The lawsuit seeks more than $10 million in damages. In legal documents, Dupré alleges that Girls Gone Wild representatives approached her while she was vacationing in Florida in 2003, offered her alcohol and cajoled her into exposing her breasts for their cameras when she was just 17 (and not of proper legal age to sign a release form allowing her to be filmed).

Since then, the suit claims, Girls Gone Wild has illegally exploited Dupré’s name, picture, voice and likeness in a number of deceptive ad campaigns and on Web sites.

Francis said he was “surprised and in fact amazed” by the lawsuit, noting he has not released new video of Dupré “due to corporate policy of not using footage of individuals younger than 18″ and asserting she gave her consent on video, providing identification.

“She’s seeking $10 million for topless photos taken in front of a room full of people, including two newspapers and multiple crews we had in the room,” adds Francis. “These images were taken in public places and contain no sexual contact. We expect to triumph in this matter.”

Last month, Francis was released from a jail in Nevada, where he continues to face federal tax evasion charges. He is currently fighting separate charges in Florida for allegedly filming underage girls in Panama City. Francis claims that the girls in question lied about their age.

Dupré, who turns 23 this week, has not appeared publicly since the Gov. Spitzer scandal broke.

“Girls Gone Wild” founder Joe Francis accused a federal judge Tuesday of targeting him for retribution, saying he is behind a new lawsuit that accuses Francis of filming underage girls in sexually provocative acts.

Francis said U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak and Smoak’s former law partner, Ross McCloy, are targeting him because his company met with a consulting firm about taking steps to impeach Smoak and have him removed from office.

McCloy is representing the four women who sued Francis last week. They allege they were 17, 16, 15 and 13 when his company solicited them to participate in sexually provocative videos in 2003 and earlier. They want unspecified monetary damages.

Smoak presided over an earlier, similar lawsuit against Francis that McCloy also filed. Francis said the judge should have removed himself because of his relationship with McCloy. The lawsuit was later settled after Smoak jailed Francis for making threats during a deposition.

“We asked three times for the judge to recuse himself in front of his ex-law partner and he refused,” Francis told The Associated Press. “This is America and we are not going to let that happen again. We are not going to let them put me in jail for a civil suit.”

He called the latest lawsuit “Shakedown Part 2.”

McCloy had no comment about Francis’ allegations. Smoak did not immediately return a phone call placed to his office.

“Girls Gone Wild” is a series of videos showing young women exposing themselves, often at events like Mardi Gras and spring break. Francis has sold millions.
