Tsk, tsk. Someone needs to tell John Mayer not to drink and Tweet! The crooner went Twitter-happy on Saturday night when, after a night of partying, his pal Rob Dyrdek was carried out of the L.A. nightclub My House for being too intoxicated.

Mayer was on hand both to celebrate the success of his skater boy buddy’s new film “Street Dreams” and later in the evening to bring him to a hospital where he had his stomach pumped. After escorting Dyrdek out of the hotspot, Mayer Tweeted from Cedars Sinai Medical Center: “In triage at Cedars with @Robdyrdek. When the contents of his stomach hit that silicon bag and we all saw it, we just broke into applause.” Minutes later he added, “Applause. Sh*t! Applause.”

Luckily, the “Rob and Big” star was feeling better yesterday morning, and was even well enough to ? you guessed it ? Tweet about the incident. “A funny night out with @johncmayer,” he posted. “Glow stick Dancing leads to this . . .” with a link to the picture on TMZ.com.

When stomach pumping becomes socially acceptable fodder, it’s clear that Twitter has hit new lows. Perhaps “Rob and John” should be MTV’s next show, where the boys can Tweet their nights ? and sobriety ? away. But would anybody actually watch?

James told “Boomer & Craig” on WFAN Sports Radio that she met the singer-songwriter in Manhattan. “He had someone send for me [from] across the room,” James related. “He had a bunch of girls with him and he said, ‘We should [all] go back to my apartment.’ ” She said Mayer left first to avoid the paparazzi, and when they got to Mayer’s apartment, “We were all hanging out and everyone started to gradually leave. It was just he and I at this point. I told him, ‘I need some taxi money, I’m gonna go home now.’ ” Mayer asked James for her number and she gave it to him before leaving. She recalled, “He texted me throughout the entire night while I was at the hotel room,” leaving messages like, “Let me tuck you in. I want to see you.” While the show’s hosts labeled Mayer “a douche,” a friend of his shrugged it off, “He met her two years ago, it was not a big deal.”

John Mayer had Demi Lovato virtually blushing after complimenting her new song “La La Land” on Twitter Thursday.

“I have ‘La La Land’ by @ddlovato stuck in my head,” Mayer tweeted. “Actually, it’s not stuck. I’m choosing to sing it. B section is sophisticated.”

The star of Disney’s Sonny with a Chance, who performed a song off her debut album Don’t Forget on Dancing with the Stars Tuesday, replied, “That is quite possibly the best compliment I’ve received in this business. Thank you so, so much!”

The two then engaged in an exchange, where Mayer, 31, told Lovato, 16, “You’re going to make lots of records, I can tell,” and “Write one song at a time and never, ever apologize for any of them, ever.”

Lovato tweeted, “See, that’s exactly what I needed to hear today. If that’s not inspiration, then I don’t know what is.”

Her fans were clearly flabbergasted, too. The teen later wrote, “I had so many of you guys say they were freaking out and so happy because I had an idol twitter me … I love you guys.”

The rumor mill has been running rampant that Jennifer Aniston gave John Mayer the boot over his twittering (tweeting?) obsession, and it looks like Mayer has made a mental note and getting ready to soon kick the habit.

“I’m just goofing off, it’s silly. Isn’t it silly? Twitter is fun, but I’m gonna get off as soon it becomes like ‘Skippy Peanut Butter Presents Twitter.’ But for right now it feels sort of underground, but of course sadly it’s not that underground anymore,” Mayer told Tarts on Thursday night at his “One Splendid Evening” soiree on-board his “Mayer Craft” Carnival Cruise Liner to benefit VH1 Save the Music Foundation. “By the way, for the true twitterers I got on really late — let’s not have me pretend that I started it. There are people out there that have twits since 2007, I only got started goofing off on it in January and really, I don’t know how much longer I’m gonna do it for. …”

The mad musician hand-picked “Idol” alum Jordin Sparks to perform a duet with him on his party cruise ship (for the record, he actually called her and asked instead of twittering) but it seems Mr. Mayer has no interest in looking out for the next one to follow in Sparks’ footsteps.

“I don’t watch ‘American Idol,’ but what did I miss? Simon have some witty barbs? Say a couple of cantankerous things? One of the singers picked a bad song and had a bad night?” Mayer questioned. “No I got it. Randy was complacent, Paula was out of it and Simon was incredulous.” Meow.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer may have called it quits.

That’s the rumor I’m hearing. A source says the pair’s on-again, off-again relationship may have ended sometime within the last week, when Aniston returned from her overseas Marley & Me junket.

“He broke up with her when she got back from her European tour,” the source said.

Aniston’s rep did not immediately comment. Mayer’s rep declined to comment on the singer’s personal life.

But what are their friends saying?

One pal warns that we shouldn’t be quick to assume the two are through for good. As we know, this wouldn’t be the first time they’ve gone their separate ways.

Aniston recently opened up about love and romance to the U.K. magazine You. “Who ever said that every relationship has to last forever? That’s hoping too much,” said Aniston, who turned 40 exactly a month ago. “I think every relationship is a world unto itself.”

As for finding the perfect partner, she said, “I don’t have one and I don’t think it exists.”

Aniston and Mayer went public for the first time at the Oscars at the end of last month. Backstage at the Kodak Theatre, Aniston told Gayle King, who was interviewing them for her pal Oprah’s show, that she was “very happy.” Later in the night, they strolled arm in arm into the Vanity Fair postshow party at the Sunset Tower Hotel.

Most recently, Aniston was spotted on Monday at the same hotel grabbing a bite to eat at the Terrace restaurant. She’ll be jetting to New York City in the spring to shoot The Baster, in which she stars opposite Jason Bateman as an unmarried 40-year-old who decides to have a baby with her best friend.
Mayer, meanwhile, has been in the studio working on a new album.

John Mayer paid his respects to Conan O’Brien on the final night of his Late Night show Friday.

The taped tribute showcased Mayer performing a song called, “L.A.’s Gonna Eat You Alive.”

O’Brien, who has hosted the show for the 16 seasons and will take over The Tonight Show on June 1 — said he received the video greeting 15 minutes before the show began.

The most touching lyric?

“Look at me, I used to live in NYC. Now I’m as douchey as a man can be.”

At the end of the 30-second song, Mayer said: “Good luck, loser.”

It’s not that John Mayer isn’t that into Jennifer Aniston — he’s just too busy for her.

The rocker, who was caught on a business date with a beautiful blond last week at Marix Tex Mex restaurant in Santa Monica, was back with Aniston at a private Super Bowl bash in Calabasas, Calif., on Sunday. And while that may signal another “on” phase for the on-again/off-again couple, pals say Mayer is way too busy for a serious relationship with Aniston, and instead wants to focus on himself.

“John’s goal is to keep a low profile this year, and Jen is about as far off from low-profile as you can get,” a source tells us. “He just wants to keep out of the spotlight and finally concentrate on his music.”

Mayer is working on an album tentatively titled “Battle Studies,” a followup to 2006’s “Continuum.” “He’s always in and out of the studio,” a second insider reveals. “That’s his focus.”

In addition to his music, Mayer is in talks to film a sketch-comedy show for CBS. “It’s more of a variety show that will resemble VH1’s ‘John Mayer Has a TV Show,’?” says the snitch. “That’s where his bear skit was born, so think along those lines. Combine a bunch of funny shorts, and you’ll have the show.”
And what about Aniston, whose flick “He’s Just Not That Into You” opens Friday? Insiders say she’s sick of her inconsistent relationship with Mayer.

“He keeps her in limbo,” the snitch reports. “She and John see each other and sleep with each other, but are they getting ready to walk down the aisle? No. Jennifer knows that. But at the same time, no girl wants to spend every night alone. She needs to accept the title of her new movie to be the title of her life.”
Mayer’s rep says, “We do not comment on John’s personal life.”

If things don’t work out with Mayer, Aniston has a second singing suitor waiting in the wings: “Rock of Love” bad boy Bret Michaels.

“Bret is really crushing on Jen,” a pal of Michaels confides. “He says she’s the kind of girl you can have a good time with, but can still take home to Mom.”
While we think Michaels could rock Jen’s love, a Mayer pal says: “Jen can date whoever she pleases, but she should keep in mind that John’s tour bus is so much better than Bret’s!”

Tabloid reports have claimed that Jennifer Aniston is pregnant with John Mayer’s child.

Australia’s New Weekly alleges that the pair’s recent rekindled romance began when Aniston realised she was expecting her first baby.

“The pair made their first outings as a reunited couple last week, enjoying a romantic weekend in New York and a concert in Boston,” says the magazine.

“But while friends are scratching their heads about what made Jen take the playboy musician back, the smile the actress has been wearing says it all – she’s pregnant and loving it!”

Despite the couple confirming an amicable split in August after their five-month romance, the pair have been spotted looking “lovey-dovey” together in New York and LA in recent weeks.

John Mayer rang in his 31st birthday at exclusive Beverly Hills cigar bar Grand Havana Room October 15 – with back-on girlfriend Jennifer Aniston by his side.

The relaxed pair hung out on a private outdoor patio for several hours late in the evening. Mayer, at one point, affectionately stroked Aniston’s hair.

The singer – whose actual birthday is October 16 – and the Marley and Me actress, 39, began a whirlwind romance in April, but split in August.

On October 10, however, the two appeared to be back on. They took in a Ray LaMontagne concert in Boston and then spent the next couple of days in New York City before flying to Los Angeles on a private plane.

Another public date followed on October 13, where they dined and drank wine with three pals at Sunset Tower’s Tower Bar.

“They were holding hands at one point and seemed very much back on,” a witness tells Us.

A source says the two reconnected because Aniston “can’t deny their major chemistry, similarities and ability to laugh at things.”
