Kate Moss has unveiled a stark new look to her Topshop collection.
Gone are the floaty dresses and just-washed hair. In come a peroxide crop and thigh-skimming party frocks worn with stockings.
The supermodel’s new Christmas range is previewed in this month’s edition of i-D magazine.
The photo-shoot shows her sprawled on an unmade bed wearing six-inch patent heels.

She is wearing a white-blonde wig and her heavily made-up eyes peer out from underneath a blunt fringe.
The range focuses on evening wear, as well as black on black, with texture, beading, chiffon and satin. Prices range from £35 to £250.
The range goes on sale on 25 October. Topshop owner Sir Philip Green is hosting a party and fashion show at Annabel’s in Berkeley Square next week to launch it.

Moss, 33, is paid a reputed £3 million for her Topshop designs.
Her first collection saw queues of shoppers descend on the Oxford Street flagship store in May after she fleetingly appeared in the window. Sales in the first week topped £3.5 million.
Last night Moss was back in Oxford Street promoting a new hair care range by James Brown at Boots.

She was wearing a T-shirt featuring a picture of new boyfriend Jamie Hince on the chest.
She later met up with Hince, guitarist with The Kills, and they headed to the home of her friend Davinia Taylor.

The couple had just returned from a romantic two-day holiday in Ibiza earlier this week, which reportedly cost the star £100,000.
The lovers were joined by a group of friends on the whirlwind visit, including former Hollyoaks actress Davinia Taylor.
Meanwhile Moss’s ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty has become the face of Roberto Cavalli’s 2007/2008 advertising campaign.

Mascara ads showing Kate Moss sporting “traffic stopping” eyelashes have been banned after complaints that the supermodel’s lashes were false.
The magazine and TV ads for Rimmel said that the ‘Magnif’eyes mascara’ produced 70 per cent more lift, with a ‘unique vertical life brush’ helping wearers ‘get the London look’.
Moss features in both the magazine ad and the TV commercial – but two viewers complained that they did not believe her eyelashes were genuine and that the ads exaggerated the effect of the mascara.

Ad firm J Walter Thompson (JWT) insisted that Moss was not wearing false eyelashes, but did not provide documentary evidence to back it up. The firm admitted the lashes were enhanced after the shoot.
The Advertising Standards Authority investigated complaints that the lashes were false and also challenged whether Rimmel could back up their claim that the mascara provided 70 per cent more lift.
Rimmel said it had developed existing brush technology by creating a mascara brush that provided greater lash lift and claimed it had tested the claim of 70 per cent more lash lift on ten female panellists.
It provided a table and a sample before and after shot, claiming the results showed the average increase in lash lift from roof to tip was 74.7 per cent.
The Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre (BACC) said they were satisfied that the demonstration sequences were an accurate reflection of the capabilities of the product and supported the claims made in the TV ad.
However, the ASA concluded that it could not be proved the lashes weren’t false – and ordered the company not to repeat the claims. It also found the 70 per cent claim could be misleading.

A spokesman said: “The ASA was concerned that Rimmel had failed to provide evidence that confirmed Kate Moss was not wearing false lashes.
“We were also concerned that JWT said they had retouched the lashes in post production, but had not provided data that clarified the extent to which that had altered the appearance of the lashes.
“Because we had not received documentary evidence that Kate Moss was not wearing false lashes in the ads we concluded that the images of the eye lashes in the press and TV ads may have exaggerated the benefits of the product, and were likely to mislead consumers.

“The ASA acknowledged the evidence submitted by Rimmel to support their claims ’70% more vertical lashes’ in the press ad and ’70% more lash lift’ in the TV ad.
“We noted that the measurements used in the test were taken from digital images of the eye before and after the mascara was applied, and were not taken from the actual lashes themselves.
“We considered that some consumers could interpret the claim to refer to an increase in actual lash length, rather than the length of the lashes as it appeared in the digital images.
“Because the claim ’70% more lash lift’ referred to an increase in the appearance of the lash length, and not an actual increase, we concluded that the ad could mislead.
“We told Rimmel not to repeat the ad in its present form. We advised them to include a disclaimer in future ads where post production techniques had been used to increase the effects of a product, or where false lashes had been used.

After a 12-hour love-in with new man Jamie Hince, loved-up supermodel Kate Moss declared: “I’m in love and I’m engaged.”
The supermodel announced her ‘engagement’ last weekend to her Primrose Hill pals to make it clear that he is officially her new man.
Sources close to 33-year-old Kate, said that Sunday’s engagement isn’t formal but it’s Kate’s way of showing her love for Jamie – who she has been dating for a few weeks – and also her way of letting former love, rocker Pete Doherty, know that it is over between them – for ever.

Kate reportedly told friends: “I love Jamie so much – we’re engaged!”
The night before her bold statement, Kate and The Kills guitarist Jamie, 39, attended a friend’s wedding and spent the night getting closer than ever.
A source told The Mirror: “Kate and Jamie had been together all night and day until 5pm and when they surfaced Kate told her friends that she and Jamie were engaged.
“They had spent the night making love and Kate asked him during that.
“He was overjoyed because that’s what he wanted, too. They’re clearly totally in love with each other.
The source added: “No one thinks they are actually going to walk down the aisle any time soon – they know it was Kate’s way of saying she’s serious about him.

“Everyone knows it’s a message to Pete too, telling him she’s moved on and is happy with her new man.”
The announcement came a day after she had a very public argument with actress Sienna Miller.
Kate accused the girl-about-town of stealing her style – and her friends, according to new reports.
The pair allegedly came to blows after a long day celebrating at the wedding reception of former model Rose Ferguson and artist Jake Chapman’s party in Islington, North London, with Jude Law’s ex Sadie Frost and Davinia Taylor.
Kate was said to be fuming that her actor pal Rhys Ifans, 39, – who brought her to the wedding.
An onlooker told The Sun: “Kate had a go at Sienna and accused her of stealing her style. She was ranting on about how Sienna was now trying to steal her lifestyle and her friends too.

“It was really cutting and everyone was listening to them.
“A few drinks had been sunk by the time Kate said it and Sienna had plucked up some Dutch courage too. She gave Kate as good as she got.”
Later Kate reportedly had a row with Rhys over the phone after she, Jamie, Sadie and pals went off to a party – but banned Sienna.
A source told The Mirror: “Kate made it clear Sienna was not welcome in the Primrose Hill clan and never would be.
“She said Rhys was welcome to come to the party on his own but without Sienna.
“Rhys went mad and he and Kate had a screaming match.”
The four bottles of vodka and crate of champagne at the party may have helped bring Kate’s temper to the boil.
Sienna’s new “friendship” with 40-year-old Welsh actor Rhys Ifans was said to be a source of tension – Kate, 33 has long considered him a friend and is reported to be unimpressed the 25-yead-old is infiltrating her close circle.
Kate’s close friend Sadie Frost and Ifans reportedly intervened, forcing the feuding pair to calling a truce – for the night at least.
The fellow guest told the paper: “Sadie stood between them and reminded them that it was a wedding and that they should show some respect.”
Meanwhile, it has emerged that twelve months after the cocaine scandal that rocked Kate’s career, she has been axed from seven high-profile modelling contracts.
Kate has been dropped from a number of her most lucrative deals including those with Agent Provocateur and Coco Chanel.

Kate Moss “couldn’t afford” to buy her daughter a £4 pair of novelty glasses.
The 33-year-old supermodel took her four-year-old daughter Lila Grace – whose father is magazine publisher Jefferson Hack – to Cornwall’s Paulos Americano Circus, in Newquay, with a group of friends, but didn’t have enough money to pay for souvenirs.
Circus performer Natasha Darnell-Smith told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: “Kate came to buy the fluorescent glasses we sell to the kids. “I did not realise who it was until she took her hat off. “She had five to six kids with her and said she could not afford to buy the glasses. They are £4 each.”
Kate is one of the world’s most successful models, with an estimated annual income of £30 million.
Despite fears her career would struggle following her cocaine scandal in 2005, she went on to sign a £3 million deal to produce her own line of clothes for high street chain Topshop, as well as landing lucrative contracts for several top brands including Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Calvin Klein and Christian Dior.

She’s been in and out of rehab for cocaine and heroin addiction, so it might encourage 23-year-old Amy Winehouse to hear that former drug user Kate Moss is planning a tribute song.
A friend of the Croydon-born supermodel tells me Kate, 33, listens to Amy all the time on her iPod.

“She knows her voice is nowhere near Amy’s – but thinks she could do a song that would be like a tribute to Amy, inspired by her,” says Kate’s pal.
That should cheer her up!
