Kid Rock has apologized after a man complained that the musician smoked a cigar at a nonsmoking venue in the Detroit area.

Randy Snell says Kid Rock lit the cigar while attending country singer Travis Tritt’s show Friday at Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren.

Spokesman Nick Stern told The Detroit News that Kid Rock offered his “most sincere apologies” to patrons he may have offended. He said he had been drinking alcohol.

Fifty-eight-year-old Randy Snell, of Trenton, has asthma and says he plans to file a health department complaint. Michigan law prohibits smoking at workplaces including bars and restaurants.

Kid Rock was born Robert Ritchie. He grew up in and lives in suburban Detroit.

Evidently, Kellie Pickler leaked the news to a radio interviewer that she’s got a man and that they’ve been seeing each other for over a year.

The beautiful Kellie Pickler has struggled with her dumb blonde image since making her musical debut on season five of American Idol. Kellie Pickler revisited American Idol as a guest in 2009 and her vocals just didn’t deliver. Along with the rest of America, the song Kellie Pickler wrote about her mother entitled, “I Wonder,” broke my heart and I can’t help but cry every time I hear it. American Idol contestant, Kellie Pickler, has won several CMT Music Awards and several American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers awards.

Kid Rock (real name Robert Ritchie) has had a long line of hotties on his list of past loves. Kid Rock was briefly married to Pamela Anderson and has dated Sheryl Crow. Entering the music scene as a rapper, Kid Rock has crossed over into heavy metal, blues, southern rock and country music. A huge Kid Rock fan, some of my favorite songs from Kid Rock include “Only God Knows Why,” “Cowboy” and “Wasted Time,” just to name a few.

I hope Kid Rock treats this country girl from Albemarle, North Carolina, with the respect she deserves. Former American Idol contestant, Kellie Pickler, has had her share of grief and she doesn’t need any more! Savvy, Kid?

Kid Rock is fuming that a judge has denied his request to serve his 80 hours of community service performing for troops over the holidays.

“I really take it as a slap in the face, and really have trouble thinking of a better way to ‘serve the community,’” Rock (real name: Robert J. Ritchie) writes on his Web site.

“Apparently he thinks it’s more important that I do something else rather than sing, shake hands, take pictures and spend time with the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to protect the very freedom he and all of us live by,” he adds.

Rock was arrested last October for being involved in a fight at a Waffle House in suburban Atlanta after a concert. He pleaded not guilty to one count of battery and other charges were dropped.

In March, he raised $20,000 at a charity concert in the same fast food joint – something else he laments not getting credit for.

Georgia State Court Judge Alvin T. Wong, who denied the request Sept. 30, writes that Rock, has performed for the troops before and “giving him credit for something he would otherwise love to do in front of a camera completely defeats the punitive purpose of performing community service.”

The singer is currently on tour in Europe, and plans to participate in U.S.O. concerts scheduled for mid-December in the Middle East.

Kid Rock

Jul 082008

No one celebrates the Fourth of July with more fervor than flag-wavin’, bourbon-swiggin’ Kid Rock. But somebody forgot to tell him that our Founding Fathers did not guarantee him the right to bring a trailerload of busty blonds anywhere he wants.

Surfing star Laird Hamilton didn’t seem to mind that Kid showed up at Hamilton’s Malibu beach house with a retinue of leggy, cleavage-bearing, slightly-past-their-prime party favors. But Hamilton’s wife, Olympic volleyball champ Gabrielle Reece, did not appreciate the uninvited guests.

“These ladies were skanky,” our spy observes. “Gabrielle didn’t say anything but you could tell she was fuming.”

We’ll tell you who wasn’t complaining: Kid’s Detroit buddies from the Red Wings, who brought the Stanley Cup with them. Maybe they were distracted by Kid’s blond-tourage, or maybe the ice warriors were disoriented by the throbbing sun, but they forgot the Cup out on the beach. At least for a while. “People mistook the trophy for an ashtray,” says our source.

Kid Rock wants fans to know it’s OK to illegally download his music.

And while they’re at it, they should steal cars, designer clothes and iPods, too.

Well, maybe not.

The 37-year-old Detroit musician posted a “special announcement” on YouTube last week urging fans to “steal everything.”

Kid Rock says in the video that he’s so rich, he can’t complain if fans steal a song or two off the Internet without paying him.

In fact, he says, people should “level the playing field” by stealing anything they need from wealthy corporations.

He mentions laptops, iPods, Toyota vehicles (“It’s a foreign car company, so who cares?”), gasoline and Tommy Hilfiger clothing as potential targets for the five-finger discount.

But the rap-rocker, who has resisted selling his music on iTunes and other online stores, tells The Associated Press he was just kidding.

“I was just trying to have some fun with it,” Kid Rock said before playing in Wednesday’s Buick Open Pro-Am, with friend and pro golfer John Daly, at Warwick Hills near Flint.

The video had more than 100,000 views as of Wednesday afternoon.
