Kid Rock has a major makeover in the works: He’ll chop off his famously long locks.

“I definitely want to cut it. I think this is the last record with the hair,” the rocker, 36, tells Extra. “I’ve had enough. I’m going to slick it back [and], whoosh, ride off into the sunset.”

Though his plans for exactly when he’ll get a new ‘do are up in the air, the singer says there is one thing for certain: His plans to visit American troops in Iraq this holiday season.

“I told my son [Robert, 17] I’m going to go to Iraq to be with some people who can’t be with their families,” he says. “We’re not doing presents this year. I’m going to spend some time with these people, ’cause we’ve been very fortunate at the end of the day.”

As for the collapse of his four-month marriage to Pamela Anderson last year, the singer tells Extra, “Getting married was a ball. Being married was … a nightmare.”

Still, Rock – interviewed on the video set for his politically charged song “Amen” – showed some vulnerability about the split.

“Yeah, of course you are hurt,” he says. “Whenever you go through a divorce … and you are in love with [that] person, you are hurt.”

So, was Rock surprised at Anderson’s marriage to Rick Solomon last month? “Not really,” he says. “At this point in my life, nothing is really surprising.”

Kid Rock was arrested in Atlanta overnight in connection with a brawl at a Waffle House in DeKalb County.

Police tell us the singer, also known as Robert Ritchie, stopped at the restaurant at 5:15 Sunday morning after performing at The Tabernacle.

A male customer recorgnized a woman in Kid Rock’s entourage, and police say that customer and the woman had words. That escalated into an argument, then a phjysical fight in the parking lot of the Waffle House, located on Buford Highway. Police were summoned, and Kid Rock’s tour bus was pulled over a short time later.

He and five members of his entourage were taken into custody on a misdemeanor charge of simple battery. The customer, who police identify as Harlen Akins, has been charged with one felony count of second degree criminal damage to property for allegedly smashing a window at the restaurant.

He was taken to Northside Hospital and treated for cuts, bruises and lacerations. No member of Kid Rock’s entourage was hospitalized. Kid Rock bonded out and left the DeKalb County jail just after 5.pm. Sunday, signing autographs as he made his way to the tour bus.

Kid Rock is such catnip to women that two are in a catfight over him.

Penthouse Pet Krista Ayne and model Alyssa Lipsky met the rocker when they posed with him for the cover of the current Rolling Stone magazine. During the shoot, Rock made sure to get cell numbers and e-mail addresses from both black-lingerie-clad babes, according to the brunette-tressed Ayne.

Lipsky, who as a Realtor at Conquest Advisors has got to be one of the most beautiful brokers in New York, got partially cut from the cover (although her ample breasts remain visible). And ironically, she was axed again Sunday when Rock chose to bring Ayne to the Yankee game instead of her.

Ayne, who used to date Jared Leto and is pictured in the new Steppin’ Out magazine, told publisher Chaunce Hayden that she has a boyfriend but he let her go to the game with Rock.

Lipsky got jealous when a photo of the Penthouse Pet and Rock at the game appeared in the paper, a source tells us.

The blond temptress showed up at Rock’s performance at the Fillmore Tuesday night and became even more annoyed when she was blocked from the VIP room by his publicist – for good reason: Ayne was inside.

“Ayne said her goodbyes and went home early,” says our source. “She didn’t realize Lipsky was outside, pissed.”

But Lipsky finally got through the velvet ropes, and before you could say, “Rock’s ex Pam Anderson just married sebaceous Rick Salomon – what’s that about?” she was on Rock’s tour bus, headed to his Detroit mansion, according to a source who was on the bus.

Ever the gent, Rock later paid for Lipsky to fly back home to New York.

Lipsky did not return our call by deadline.

KID Rock may have to change his style. At his album release party the other night at Nikki Beach club here, some 15 look-alikes were running around. Each one had the familiar hat, track pants and long hair that Rock sports so frequently. One of the impersonators yelled to Rock that he wanted to fight him, and was quickly tossed by two burly bouncers. The real Rock had a bevy of babes, including a pregnant Drea de Matteo, surrounding him all night.

At the MTV Video Music Awards last month, Kid Rock returned from a bathroom break and got a surprise. Tommy Lee, Rock’s nemesis — the ex-husband of his ex-wife Pam Anderson — was sitting at Rock’s table. “I was like, ‘That’s it!’ ” Rock recalls. “He knows how much he has disrespected me through the years, and I’d told him he had it coming. I was left with no choice.” Rock remembered what his older brother taught him — “you’ve got to hit first” — in the fourth grade. “I was going to be a bitch or be a man,” Rock says. “And I’m not a bitch. Never have been.”
It’s early morning at Kid Rock’s bachelor pad in Malibu. The place is an uncluttered, Mediterranean-style oasis he bought for a cool $12 million last year. Lubed up on vodka-sodas, Rock holds court behind the large island in his state-of-the-art kitchen, telling stories that involve an unlikely cast of characters. There’s the one about meeting President Bush during the Kennedy Center Honors in 2004. “When I first joined a band, I just wanted to make some good tunes, get some pussy and buy a new car,” he says. “But I get to go meet the president, and he slaps me a high-five while I’m having a Jim Beam and Coke with Rumsfeld!” Another story ends with Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler telling him, “When I was in rehab, I used to spin in circles just to get a buzz.” In between these tales, Rock riffs on the Emmy telecast playing on a flat-screen TV. When actress Jaime Pressly collects her prize, Rock smiles and says, “Been there, done that.” And when sixty-two-year-old Helen Mirren appears, Rock relishes the opportunity to rip on his ex-wife: “Hey, is that Pam?”

Pretty soon, Rock, 36, is describing how he popped Lee a week earlier in Las Vegas. It was his right hand — open-faced yet close-knuckled — that connected with Lee’s left cheekbone. “It was a full swing,” he says. “I don’t got big guns, but I know how to throw a punch.” The drama goes way back, related to their mutual ex-wife. Rock says that the final straw came last December, after his divorce from Anderson, when he received text messages from Lee, who had hijacked Anderson’s cell phone. “This motherfucker starts e-mailing me from her BlackBerry, saying, ‘You’re a fucking bitch, she’ll always be with me, nobody wants you,’ ” Rock says. “It was not easy. It was a very hurtful time in my life, because I was in love with her. I wanted to roll on him right then, but I didn’t see him until the MTV Awards.” On his blog, after the incident, Lee called Rock a “wuss,” and when reached for comment, Lee says, “My family and I want nothing to do with this unfortunate situation.”

Somehow, with all of the MTV cameras around, the punch wasn’t caught on tape. Still, the scuffle vaulted Rock back into the spotlight at just the right time. After four years, he has a record to promote, called Rock N Roll Jesus. Even Larry King wants a piece of Kid Rock now. “If I knew how much press this was gonna get,” Rock says, “I would’ve come back with a left.”

Kid Rock claims Pamela Anderson lied about a miscarriage during their brief marriage last year. Anderson lied while they were arguing about visiting her on the set of a movie in Canada, the 36-year-old rapper alleges in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

“She’s in Vancouver shooting a movie and I have Lakers seats on the floor, and I’m gonna go to the Lakers (basketball) game with my friend Jesse James,” the 36-year-old rapper says.

“I’m like, `Baby, I got these tickets. I’ll see you on the weekend there,’ and that leads into her saying, `You don’t care about me, blah blah blah,’” Rock says. “She finally comes up with this: `I just had a miscarriage’ … and hangs the phone up.”

Rock, claiming he was unaware that Anderson was pregnant, says he chartered a plane and flew to Vancouver. “When I get there, she’s partying at this restaurant, drinking champagne, jumping on the tables. I’m thinking, `That’s a quick recovery from a miscarriage.’”

Last November, a spokeswoman for the former “Baywatch” star said Anderson had suffered a miscarriage. Later that month, Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, and Anderson filed for divorce, seeking to end their marriage of less than four months.

In response to the allegations, Anderson’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti, referred The Associated Press to an e-mail that is quoted in the magazine’s story.

“I hope his album does well,” the 40-year-old actress says. “I hope he’s happy in life. We were married for four months. If he has nothing nice to say about me, then please tell him to stop talking about me.”

Last month, Anderson and Rick Salomon applied for — and were granted — a marriage license in Las Vegas, according to Clark County’s Marriage License Bureau.

Rock’s latest album, “Rock N Roll Jesus,” is due out next Tuesday.
