Maybe seeing themselves on the big screen was too much to take for “Sex and the City” stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. Apparently, soon after the movie’s release, they both paid a visit to Roosevelt Hospital on 10th Avenue for minor surgeries. “Cynthia had a breast augmentation and soon after, Kristin had the varicose veins on her legs removed,” said an insider. “They both made sure they did it on the quietest day of the week.” It could explain why Davis always wears long hems. Nixon, whose rep denied the surgery, could have been disappointed with her topless scene. Davis’ rep had no comment.

YOUNG women should be very, very careful about not letting nude photographs of themselves leave their hands – as Kristin Davis and Audrina Partridge both learned this week.

They are just the latest female celebrities – following in the bare footsteps of “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens, model Carolyn Murphy, and even radio talker Dr. Laura Schlessinger – who left intimate shots of themselves in the hands of ex-boyfriends or ex-husbands, only to see them end up on the Internet.

A rep for Davis, best-known as Charlotte in “Sex and the City,” denies Davis is the dark-haired woman in a handful of X-rated photos that have popped up online. The photos show the brunette posing naked, in the bathtub, and performing various sex acts with a man whose face is never shown.

In an effort to unravel the mystery, Page Six convened a panel of experts who thought the woman in the photos is either Davis or an identical twin – which she doesn’t have.

The photos were reportedly taken by Eric Stapelman, a boyfriend of Davis from the early ’90s. Stapelman, who is now the executive chef at Trattoria Nostrani in Santa Fe, was apparently mad at Davis when he sold the pictures to a third party, from whom they were later stolen. A restaurant rep told Page Six Stapelman was not there yesterday afternoon and was headed out of town.

Meanwhile, there’s absolutely no doubt that the photos of Partridge – the faithful perky sidekick of Lauren Conrad on “The Hills” – are 100 percent real. Partridge posed for the pin-ups in 1994, after graduating from high school in the hope she could score some space in Playboy.
The images, including one in which she posed as a topless Catholic-school girl, were rejected, but now have mysteriously surfaced in cyberspace to haunt her.

In a mea culpa statement, Partridge said: “I took these photos years ago when I was just out of high school and beginning to model. I was young and very trusting of others and I didn’t know to protect myself. It is a lesson learned, for myself, and hopefully for the young girls who look up to me.”

So those Kristin Davis photos making the rounds … We’ve now been in touch with someone involved in the whole deal, and here’s what we know.

The photos, we’re told, were snapped in 1992 by an ex-boyfriend. That’s right, they are just photos — no sex tape, fellas! According to reports, 20 photos are making the rounds, but actually it’s not quite 20.

We’re told the ex-boyfriend was pissed at Kristin and then sold the photos to a third party. Classy, huh?

The third party got involved in a business venture with another guy and we’re told that guy pilfered the pics and they ended up online.

TMZ.com is reporting that 20 sexually explicit photos allegedly of Sex and the City star Kristin Davis are making the rounds. The shots are from a sex tape she made with an ex five years ago, the site says.

But her rep tells Usmagazine.com: “This is not a photo of Kristin Davis. There is no sex tape.”

Davis can be seen next — with her clothes on — in the upcoming Sex and the City movie, out May 30.

Either Sex and the City has really stepped up their game for their new movie, or someone who looks a lot like Charlotte York is licking some guy’s dork. I guess the story behind this is some guy is shopping around this “Kristin Davis sex tape” and has let a few teaser photos leak on the Internet to pique interest in the video and help raise his asking price. Wow, Kristin really didn’t need to go this far to prove she’s not the prude she plays on television, but I’m not complaining, and I don’t think the guy attached to Kristin’s mouth is either.
