The hard-partying starlet turned down a role in the summer blockbuster “The Hangover,” according to Us Weekly, because she said the screenplay “had no potential.” Todd Phillips, who directed the comedy, offered Lohan the role of Jade, a stripper played by Heather Graham. One source told the magazine Lohan’s agent “tried hard to get Phillips to consider her,” but “Lindsay said she didn’t like the script.” Lohan’s rep didn’t return e-mails.

Not everyone is glowing about a new fake tan spray that actress Lindsay Lohan claims to have invented.

A lawsuit filed in Tampa federal court says Lohan and a Nevada woman stole the formula for Sevin Nyne from a St. Petersburg chemist named Jennifer Sunday.

Lohan launched the tanning mist spray this summer, taking credit for co-creating it over the past three years with Lorit Simon, a Las Vegas businesswoman who air-brushes tans for celebrities.

Impossible, says Sunday’s attorney, Marcia Cohen, who told the St. Petersburg Times that her client only recently completed the ingredients used in Sevin Nyne.

“We are certainly looking for the profits that are being generated right now from that product,” Cohen said Monday. “If Ms. Lohan and Ms. Simon and their companies and their shareholders are profiting from the theft of my client’s formula and are profiting from that product, my client is entitled to those proceeds.”

A publicist for Lohan couldn’t be reached Monday, and Simon didn’t respond to an e-mail seeking comment.

Sunday is suing Lohan, Simon, and Simon’s company for breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations and deceptive and unfair trade practices.

Simon signed a confidentiality agreement in January with Sunday’s company, White Wave International Labs. A copy of the agreement was included in the lawsuit. The suit says Simon and Sunday had been negotiating over samples of the tanning mist, but the sides couldn’t agree on a price.

“The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in,” Cohen said.

Cohen said Sunday and Lohan have never met.

Simon told Sunday that she had a friend who would help publicize and market the sunless tanning product, which Simon’s company would distribute, according to Cohen.

The tanning mist ingredients include goji berry, caramel, Chardonnay extracts and a sugar-coconut base, according to published reports.

Sevin Nyne launched this summer at Sephora. It retails for $35, according to the store’s Web site. Lohan calls it her “sunless secret.” She named the product, she says, after her lucky numbers.

Sunday graduated from Eckerd College in 1999, her Web site says. She worked as a pharmaceutical analytical chemist after college, before spending time in genetic research at Shriners Hospital in Tampa.

She later launched her own personal care product company. For the past five years, the site says, Sunday focused on creating indoor tanning products.

According to sources, the troubled starlet was paid a cool $70,000 by the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to host an all-day “pre-celebration” at the hotel’s Wet Republic pool party last Saturday.

At the event, which served as a promotion for her Sevyn Nine self-tanning mist, Lohan changed bathing suits five times before throwing on club gear and dancing to Michael Jackson songs for the rest of the night.

But friends of Lohan say the event was less of a celebration and more of an urgent attempt to pull in some cash. “None of her really close friends were there,” said our insider, who noted that ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson was also missing from the festivities. “The only person who was even known was Brittny Gastineau.”

Lohan didn’t drink at the party and actually allowed her photo to be taken. She was also overheard saying she was still distraught from publicity over the disappearance of jewelry she’d modeled for a recent Elle magazine photo shoot in London.

The hard-partying actress is planning to have “a small private party with friends in LA” tomorrow, according to our source — but her mom, Dina, and sister, Ali, have been asking her to come home to Long Island and spend her birthday with her family.

This wouldn’t be the first time Lohan has tried to make a buck off her birthday. She was scheduled to have her 21st bash in conjunction with Las Vegas nightclub Pure, but the party was canceled after Lohan checked into rehab. She also tried to find corporate sponsors for her 22nd birthday by setting up a Web site. A rep for MGM did not return a request for comment.

Even though her birthday isn’t until July, it seems Lindsay Lohan was determined to start the celebrations early.

Lindsay was in Sin City, Las Vegas to launch her new tanning line Sevin Nyne at Wet Republic yesterday but managed to turn the event into an early birthday pool party.

And in a fitting tribute to Michael Jackson, the A-list star struck a King of Pop pose in a black fedora hat that she pulled down in true Billie Jean style before publishing the picture on her Twitter page.

There was no sign of her on/off girlfriend Samantha Ronson although the turbulent couple are rumoured to be back together after persistent chasing from Lindsay paid off.

The troubled star looked like she had used the tanning mist on herself as she showed off a healthy glow in tiny embellished bikini bottoms that revealed her heavily freckled thighs.

Ms Lohan indulged in no less than five outfit changes during the celebrations.

She started off in minuscule white denim, cut-off hot pants and an odd-shaped top that looked to have been slashed to show off her stomach.

She teamed the look with towering, tasseled platform heels and a perfect pedicure.

As the star headed poolside, she changed into a bandage-style red bikini and giant sunglasses.

The actress continued the celebrations in a cut out, black one-piece and blue denim hot pants to dance to Michael Jackson hits which her friend, DJ Akoi played in tribute.

She even took time out to eat some birthday cake.

After all the excitement Lindsay was spotted texting on her phone in black sequined 50s-style shorts and very revealing bikini top complete with gold spangle – could she had been secretly texting Samantha?

The fiery couple sparked rumours of a reunion earlier this month after being pictured flying out from London’s Heathrow Airport together.

Lindsay was then seen heading straight for Samantha’s house in Los Angeles, where she let herself in.

She wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Leaving London but with my favourite favourite!!!-travel buddy&great news to share!! Maybe…. ’

Lindsay Lohan is coming to a television set near you!

The starlet was recently spotted having a business meeting with Ryan Seacrest at L.A. hotspot H’Wood on June 18.

“Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her…it helps people and gives others a second shot!” Seacrest wrote on Twitter. “Still putting it all together.”

Luckily for Lohan, whose career seems to have taken a break, the “American Idol” host has had a string of successful reality shows under his belt.

Seacrest, 34, has been the mastermind behind shows like NBC’s “Momma’s Boys,” MTV’s “Bromance” and E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.”

Lohan, 22, also mentioned details of the pair’s new project on her Twitter page.

“Working on a really great project for television – I am excited!” she tweeted. “Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC… ”

According to TMZ.com, the focus of the untitled television series will be on people who are on the wrong track and are given $1 million dollars to have a second chance.

No, she won’t be a contestant, but Lohan is reportedly set to be a judge on a panel of judges who hear contestant’s stories.

Lindsay Lohan unveiled her newest piece of body art as she slid out of a car this morning – a tattoo on her left wrist.

The troubled former child star showed off the inscription as she arrived at on-off lover Samantha Ronson’s Los Angeles house in the early hours.

It was impossible to decipher what the tattoo said, although a source recently revealed Lindsay had had a Marilyn Monroe quote inked on her wrist.

The wording: ‘Everyone’s a star and deserves the right to twinkle,’ was said to be surrounded by yellow, blue and green stars.

Since then the tattoo has remained hidden, but this morning Lindsay seemed not to care as she flashed it at photographers.

The tattoo joins Lindsay’s five others – the word shhh…. on the side of her index finger, a small star on her wrist which matches one of Ronson’s, a heart on her hand, the word breathe on her wrist, and the phrase la bella vita on her lower back.

This morning, her eyes hidden by dark sunglasses, the actress nearly tripped over her legs as she climbed out of the vehicle.

Lindsay’s high heeled open toe boots and tight leggings showed off her slender legs.

The 22-year-old has reportedly moved back in with Ronson as their turbulent relationship continues to develop.

The pair split in early April after a row over LiLo’s partying with men at the Chateau Marmont hotel in LA, but Lohan countered by labelling Ronson a cheat on her Twitter blog.

Since then, Lindsay has been spotted leaving Samantha’s Hollywood home after spending the night talking to her ex on various occasions and was even spotted there last week while Samantha was in the Phillipines

Rather tellingly on the day Samantha flew from Manila to Singapore, Lindsay wrote on her Twitter page: ‘Missing a certain someone after a massage and chicken noodle soup… U (she) knows. Cuddle time soon I hope – fly safe.’

The two were Twittering again today, with Lindsay telling Ronson: ‘Murder it lil lady ’

Earlier this week Lindsay Lohan was so “bored” that she posted a topless photo of herself on Twitter, prompting many to speculate that the not-so-reformed rehabber was losing her mind. However Linds took to her Twitter page to blame the posted pic on her sister’s doing.

“Haha-the photo of me for FORNARINA in THE TRAILER was sent by my sister as a PRANK,” she wrote. (Mind you, LiLo didn’t bother to remove it).

But if that wasn’t controversial enough, the 22-year-old is now claiming somebody hacked into her Twitter account and tweeted that Justin Timberlake was cheating on longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel at NYC club Avenue, even posting a pic from inside the hotspot.

“Stop trying to get onto my twitter page whoever you are! Its become extremely creepy!!! I don’t twitter about my personal life! Let alone, someone else’s life! I’ve learned my lesson some time ago,” Lohan wrote on Thursday morning. “Just trying to clear the air! And I’m tired of changing my password every other day!”

So it Linds telling the truth or just trying to cover her tracks?

According to an inside source, the actress is still desperately trying to work things out with ex Samantha Ronson and when she gets like this “she says things without thinking”. The club’s rep has since spoken out and made it clear that celebs that twitter about other celebs are “not welcome”…

A rep for Lohan did not respond for comment.
