Lindsay Lohan has hit back at claims she assaulted a Betty Ford Center staff member in 2010, filing a legal response to absolve her of any wrongdoing.

Former employee Dawn Bradley accused the Mean Girls star of grabbing her wrist and twisting it when she tried the give the actress – then a patient at the rehab facility – a breathalyzer test in December, 2010.

Bradley launched a $1 million legal battle against the actress back in August, claiming she suffered “great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering” from the alleged assault.

Lohan was served the lawsuit in October and she’s now fired back at the allegations, claiming she was provoked and thus acted out in selfdefense.

The star’s attorneys filed the legal response on her behalf at California’s Riverside Country Superior Court on 10 January and according to Tmz.com, Lohan is requesting that Bradley cover her legal fees.

Lindsay Lohan is facing a lien for nearly $94,000 that the federal government says she owes in unpaid taxes.

Records in Los Angeles County show the lien was filed Thursday seeking payment for the 2009 tax year.

Celebrity website TMZ first reported the lien Tuesday, the same day a paparazzo sued the model-actress for being in a car that allegedly struck him in Hollywood in January 2010.

Lohan’s publicist Steve Honig said the starlet’s finances are nobody’s business but her own. As for photographer Grigor Balyan’s lawsuit seeking unspecified damages against Lohan, Honig says he hasn’t seen the case but accused the paparazzi of invading her privacy daily.

The actress is continuing to serve morgue duty to comply with her probation in a pair of misdemeanor cases.

The 25-year-old actress has reportedly opened discussions with Lifetime to take on the role of the late screen legend in TV movie ‘Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story’, which will focus on Taylor’s tempestuous romance with actor Richard Burton.

The project is set to be produced by Larry Thompson and is being written by Christopher Monger.

Although Taylor was married to seven different men during her lifetime, she considered Burton to be the love of her life and she tied the knot with him twice before their romance ultimately ended in a second divorce in 1976.

The ‘Cleopatra’ star died aged 79 in March 2011 from congestive heart failure.

If the project goes ahead, it will be Lindsay’s first acting role since she appeared in 2010 movie ‘Machete’.

The young star – who recently posed naked in Playboy – has seen her career take a back seat to her troubled personal life in recent years which has seen her have numerous court appearances, brief jail stints and undergo rehab treatment for alcohol and substance abuse.

Michael’s thoughts on Lindsay’s Playboy cover
Dr. Drew – “So Lindsay chose to be in Playboy. Was that weird for you?”
Michael – “I haven’t seen it and I won’t look at it. I’ve never looked at it.”
Dr. Drew – “I hear it’s very stylized and very appropriate.”
Michael – “I heard it’s ‘classy’….she did some movies that were a little risque at times and I couldn’t even go to the movies and watch them..”
Dr. Drew – “Is this a good move for her you think, Playboy?”
Michael – “…it’s a move in a direction where she’s working. As far as I’m concerned it is a good move. If she’s happy with it, I’m happy with it.”

Lindsay Lohan is due in court Wednesday to give a judge her first progress update under strict new probation requirements intended to keep close tabs on the troubled actress.

Lohan has been reporting regularly for work at the Los Angeles County morgue since being repeatedly threatened with a long jail sentence if she failed to complete the terms of her probation, which include community service and counseling sessions.

The hearing is without the usual drama that precedes Lohan’s recent court appearances, which have focused on the actress’ shortcomings by missing court-ordered therapy sessions and getting booted from a community service assignment at a women’s shelter. The “Mean Girls” star spent less than five hours at a jail last month as part of a 30-day sentence imposed by Judge Stephanie Sautner for Lohan’s continued misbehavior.

The judge is requiring the starlet to report on her progress monthly and it appears Lohan has been successful in meeting the goals of Wednesday’s hearing.

“She’s been doing fine,” Deputy Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Tuesday, saying the actress has been showing up, working and leaving without incident.

He said he did not know how many hours Lohan had completed.

Her spokesman, Steve Honig, said Lohan has met or exceeded the terms of her probation imposed by Sautner last month.

“She’s working very diligently to keep up her days so she can finish up with probation,” he said.

Lohan remains on probation for a 2007 drunken driving case and a misdemeanor grand theft case filed after she took a $2,500 necklace without permission.

She has consistently struggled with the terms of her various sentences, which have included jail terms, rehab, community service and counseling.

Her appearance Wednesday comes days before a Playboy issue featuring Lohan in a mostly-nude pictorial hits newsstands. The magazine was forced to release the issue online early after photos of the Marilyn Monroe-inspired spread leaked out online.

Lindsay Lohan says she should have listened to her advisers, but her stubbornness led to many of her well-documented legal problems.

Lohan made the comments in the January-February issue of Playboy magazine, which features mostly nude photos and a brief story about the starlet.

Pictures leaked online Friday, prompting the magazine to release the issue early on its website.

The story refers to Lohan’s infamous bad behavior – including two drunken driving arrests, five jail sentences and five rehab stints – as youthful misadventures.

Lohan returns to court Wednesday to update a judge on her compliance with strict new probation requirements that include working at a morgue.

Honolulu police say Lohan reported a bag stolen from a vehicle early Sunday morning. The bag was recovered, but its contents are missing.

The hacker who claims that he was responsible for leaking the Playboy shoot pictures of Lindsay Lohan stated that he didn’t actually steal the pictures but only found them on a file sharing site.

The entire photo collection from the January/February 2012 issue leaked online on Friday. The man, who refused to give his name, said to Fox News that he had found the stolen pictures when they had been uploaded to a Russian file-sharing site. The hacker admitted: ‘I just pieced it together. All I cared about is how I got them’. He further elaborated that this is not the first time he’s done this to Playboy: ‘When I’ve done it before, Playboy sent an e-mail to take down the links, and I do’. Insisting that he has no idea to the original source of the leaked pages, the speculations can still continue over who may have hacked the server.

The issue, for which Lohan reportedly received $1 million, will be released on December 16th.

Lindsay Lohan is currently on vacation in Hawaii away from her community service duties at the Los Angeles County morgue. She will return to Los Angeles on Monday, and is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday for a probation update.

Lindsay Lohan’s little sister Aliana, at 17, is growing up fast. Tall and with sunken cheekbones, Aliana (she’s ditched her childhood nickname Ali) has a contract with Next Model Management.

Aliana appears on the cover of Page Six Magazine, inside the New York Post tomorrow. Recently two different photos of her were juxtaposed, fueling online rumors of dramatic weight loss and even surgical procedures.

Aliana, who explains her new look as a growth spurt, says, “I was cracking up. Because, like, when would I do that (surgery)? I’m 17 years old. That’s not legal! I would need my mother’s signature, and do you think my mom would sign off on that? No! Its not the right thing to do. . . . It’s stupid. I don’t listen to it. Its absolutely not true.” Aliana is keen to find her own way in the modelling world. Cindy Crawford is her role model, she says, “for having branded her name really well.” But despite seeking out her own path, Aliana is very close to her family. Of Lindsay she says, “You can’t trust anyone so we talk to each other about everything. . . . I admire how strong she is.” Aliana insists she is the opposite of a wild child, she doesn’t drink or smoke, and, “I just say no [to drugs]. I’m lucky enough that I had my sister to learn from…I’ve seen people do it to her and I’ve learned to be like, ‘That’s stupid, no’. That’s why Lindsay and me are so close, because we’re able to talk about those things together.”
