LYDIA Hearst denies she ever dated rocker Cisco Adler. Friday night at a fete for artist Izzy Gold at Blue & Cream, Hearst was overheard declaring, “I’m so single!” Although pals of Hearst say she was calling Adler her boyfriend at one point, her rep, Alan Rish, said they were always just friends. “They were never really boyfriend-girlfriend,” he said. “They did have a little fling before becoming pals, but neither of them is ready for a real relationship.” Adler will still perform at the Puma “Lydia Bag” launch Tuesday at the Thompson Hotel.

LAS Vegas was saturated with tipsy celebs celebrating the second anniver sary of Tao nightclub over the week end. Cisco Adler and new girlfriend Lydia Hearst were spotted cuddling in the VIP room, while Hearst’s ex, actor Justin Bartha, “looked on” from a table nearby. Emmy Ros sum, Gabrielle Union, Haylie Duff, Jeremy Piven, Kather ine McPhee and Rosario Dawson were also toasting Tao. At the nearby Palms Casino Resort, Maroon 5 played their last show on their North America tour for a boldfaced audience including Avril Lavigne, Rumer Willis (who “danced with her shoes off”), Brooke Burns, Sara Ramirez and Seth Meyers. Funnywoman Sarah Silverman’s party for boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel’s 40th birthday at the Palms was a more intimate affair, with Adam Carolla, Jeffrey Ross, Carson Daly and Huey Lewis helping Kimmel mark the milestone in the $25,000-a-night Hardwood Suite, which includes a basketball court.

Media heiress Lydia Hearst is lucky to be alive. Hearst told Page Six from the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood she “almost died” in her sleep when the old-fashioned gas oven in her suite was left on overnight. “I went to bed around midnight on Saturday and didn’t wake up until 4 p.m. on Sunday,” she said. Hearst asked the hotel to turn the oven off after she saw “the misty, shaky air pour out.” She’s in L.A. promoting her “Lydia” bag for Puma. “Of course, I’ll stay here again,” Hearst said. “But can you imagine if I was found dead, naked in bed? It would have been me and John Belushi who died here!”

Model/socialite/handbag designer Lydia Hearst is fuming over “inexcusable” actions by Heathrow Airport security guards, who tossed around her undergarments and had the gall to rough up her Puma bag. Hearst, en route to Germany where she’s shooting a campaign, fired off a message to us via her publicist: “Aside from the fact that it is inappropriate to display the contents of a woman’s purse in public, the bag holding all of my personal belongings for my trip (panties, lip gloss, wallet and cellphone) were dumped out onto the conveyer belt.” Hearst claimed she repeatedly asked the guards to be careful with her bag because, “The Puma Lydia Bag is a sample item I designed belonging to Puma and Heatherette. It is on loan to me under the expressed understanding that it is to be used for promotional photos and interviews only.” Hearst lists “gashes,” a “ripped-off charm,” “squashing on the bottom” and “scraped up and tangled” among the damages to her carry-on.

On the heels of a dust-up with New York socialite Lydia Hearst, Hollywood heiress Nicky Hilton canceled her Miami Fashion Week show, citing a “personal emergency.” The letter, which went out yesterday, stated that Nicky “loves Miami” but was pulling the plug on her Nicholai show, which was set for tomorrow. Her cancellation comes days after witnesses told Page Six that Hilton and Hearst had a run-in in L.A. during an Alvin Valley fashion show. Spies at the event said Hilton was “fuming” when a fiery Hearst was pulled from the front row onto the runway to replace a model who had dropped out at the last minute. We’re told that Hearst was quickly prepped backstage by a Nioxin beauty team and dressed by the designer – but that when she walked the runway, she was greeted by Hilton, “glaring at her from the front row.” One observer noted, “When Lydia came out, everyone clapped but Nicky.” Elliot Mintz, a rep for Hilton, said, “There was no glaring whatsoever and Nicky has no issues with Lydia. The Miami cancellation was due to a scheduling conflict.”
