Mariah Carey (above) is the “least green” celebrity, according to a new Earth Day poll, for flying her personal trainer in from St. Barts. “People saw that as an extravagance rather than a necessity and the consequences for the planet probably don’t justify it,” said Jonathon Morgan, editor-in-chief of GreenDaily.com. John Travolta, a licensed pilot, flew into second place because of his fleet of private jets. The greenest celebs were Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Bono, Ed Begley Jr., Brad Pitt and Prince Charles.

Nick Cannon may be baby-talking with Mariah Carey at home, but publicly, he’s keeping things private.
“Everyone wants to know!” he laughed to us about the million-dollar question: Why were he and Mariah seen leaving an IVF clinic on Easter?
But Cannon, DJ-ing at Vibe’s “Notorious” DVD release party, wouldn’t budge. “I tell people to just relax,” he said. “Give my wife the respect she needs, the respect you’d give any woman. You don’t just go around saying, ‘Yeah, she’s pregnant.’ How disrespectful is that?”
Cannon added that he and Mimi have finally purchased L.A. digs. “Yes, we bought a house in L.A, but it’s not the billion-dollar one everyone thinks,” he said. “People just make stuff up.”

A washed-out Mariah Carey jetted into London today after a three day party to mark her 40th birthday.
The We Belong Together singer was treated to a surprise birthday trip in Barbados last week by her toyboy husband of 11 months Nick Cannon.
After officially hitting middle-age last Friday, Mariah looked shattered as she touched down at Heathrow airport.
In contrast to her usual colourful, minuscule outfits, Mariah looked dowdy in a black dress, leather jacket and black peep toe heels.
While husband Nick remained in the U.S., Mariah was surrounded by her entourage as she arrived in Britain.
With her naturally curly hair scrapped back of her face, which was free of make-up, it appeared Mariah was still basking in the glow of her birthday celebrations.
Nick, 28, whisked Mariah away with nine close friends on a private jet last week as a surprise.

For the birthday meal, Mariah dined on a feast of salmon, asparagus with yellow cake for desert at the lavish Wispers on the Bay restaurant.
A friend of the couple told America’s People magazine: ‘Because she’s been working extremely hard for the past few months recording new music for the album, it was important to Nick that the trip be a very relaxing one, where Mariah and her friends could truly enjoy themselves.’
After a relaxing few days, Nick and Mariah flew to Miami on Saturday morning for another party at the Coconut Grove venue.
For her birthday, Nick got Mariah a female Jack Russell terrier – a companion for her long-time pet Jack, also the same breed.
Nick enthused: ‘I got her a short-haired Jack Russell terrier. A girl, named Cha-Cha. She’s eight weeks.
‘She’s the most incredible woman. Being in a strong union and being there for each other is something that I’d never really experienced before, so to experience it with my wife is remarkable. We’re together as one, and that’s important to me.’
As well as celebrating Mariah’s landmark year, the couple will also celebrated their first wedding anniversary on April 30.
The couple married in a surprise ceremony in the Bahamas after just a month of dating.
It was the first marriage for Nick, who had broken off his engagement to supermodel Selita Ebanks just seven months earlier.
Mariah was previously married to former Sony Records mogul Tommy Mottola, before divorcing in 1998.
Nick recently denied reports his wife was pregnant, insisting the couple wanted to enjoy being newlyweds before they started a family.
He said: ‘I think what it is, the public really wants us to have kids. We’re going to do it and when we do it we’re going to let you all know. But right now, we’re trying to enjoy the newlywed aspect.’

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon – who celebrate their one-year anniversary in May – are prepping for parenthood: They bought a dog.
“I got her a short-haired Jack Russell terrier — a girl, named Cha-Cha. She’s 8 weeks,” Cannon, 28, told Usmagazine.com Saturday at a concert at Cabana One in Coconut Grove, Fla.
He and Carey, 39, secretly wed in Eleuthera in the Bahamas last spring.
Cannon said being married to Carey is “the most amazing thing ever. I couldn’t wish for anything else. She’s the most incredible woman. Being in a strong union and being there for each other is something that I’d never really experienced before, so to experience it with my wife is remarkable. We’re together as one, and that’s important to me.”
He was mum on their anniversary plans, but told Us, “We never went on a honeymoon, so I guess I can tell you we’ll probably go to Barbados.”
Asked if there are any babies in the near future, he laughed.

Celebs flocked to Miami once again for the Winter Music Conference but Ricky Martin wasn’t living “La Vida Loca.”
The Latin crooner saw red after one raucous female fan wouldn’t leave him alone at the South Beach hotspot Mansion, where the new dad was on hand with several male friends.
“This girl kept going over and asking him to ‘Shake your bon bon!’ and screaming in his face,” our spy shared. Ignoring her for a little, Martin finally had enough. “He snapped back, ‘That’s really not cool.
Please don’t embarrass me like this,’ ” says our source. Martin, who then moved his entire entourage to the other side of the club to escape her, eventually did start shaking it and then continued to dance until 3 a.m.

Meanwhile, Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon overtook Cabana One Lounge in Coconut Grove on Saturday night, where the pop star proved that just because she’s buying everything for a nursery, she’s not ready for the baby quite yet.
“Mariah was drinking glasses of red wine with a straw,” laughed our onlooker. “When she and Nick left at 2 a.m., Mariah took a glass of wine down in the elevator with her.”
Cannon was deejaying at Ron Berkowitz’s rooftop club that night and kept playing Carey’s songs. But once “Fantasy” came on, the diva couldn’t help but grab the mic herself. “Mariah started singing along to her own song,” a reveler told us. “She eventually got everyone in the crowd to sing with her.”

Mariah Carey is ready to expand her family – and she wants a baby girl.
The pop superstar has prematurely dropped $200K on furniture, including a pink crib and highchair, from a children’s store in San Francisco for the new Hollywood home she intends to buy with hubby Nick Cannon.
A source close to the diva reveals she has made an offer on the David Saperstein estate in the exclusive western L.A. neighborhood of Holmby Hills. Her neighbors would be the Beckham brood and Hugh Hefner. The French Chateau-style mansion, which has been on the market for months at the asking price of $125 million, is a minipalace with Italian marble walls, French limestone floors, gold-embossed leather wall coverings, a nine-car garage, ballroom, private running track and movie screening room.
“It’s 45,000 square feet and looks like a European castle,” says the insider. “It’s so big, it can’t even be called a mansion – it’s similar to Buckingham Palace!”
But the opulent surroundings aren’t quite enough for Mariah. She’s planning on putting in a few touches of her own, most notably the nursery. Says our source, “She has asked [interior decorator] Kenneth Bordewick to advise on her new home and has requested an all-pink nursery. It’s going to be over the top!”
Despite plans for the baby room, there is no indication that the singer is pregnant. But an insider tells us, “Mariah has tossed around the idea of adopting.”
Her husband, meanwhile, seems to have a different time line when it comes to having a brood. Nick, who at age 28 is 10 years Mariah’s junior, recently joked that he was planning on kids “soon. Like a couple [of] years soon!”
Contacted for comment, a rep for Carey would only say of the story, “not true.”

A music industry insider said, “She and [husband] Nick Cannon are looking for houses in Santa Monica. They want to move to Los Angeles permanently. She wants to act more and she has to be on the West Coast to do that. And well, then, he’s got his . . . career. Whatever that is.” Carey just got rave reviews for her role in the indie flick, “Tennessee.” Her rep declined to comment.

SOME divas cling to their high-maintenance ways even at moments of historic national import. Mariah Carey, who performed at the Neighborhood Ball for President and Michelle Obama, was “furious” when she found out where she’d be seated for the inauguration. A spy said, “Mariah was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated. But somehow she thought she’d be up with the Obama family. When she realized she wasn’t, she bailed.” Meanwhile, Carey ex Sean Combs is said to be upset that he wasn’t invited to perform at official events and disappointed that Jay-Z had a bigger presence. A rep for Carey declined to comment. Combs’ rep said, “It was one of the greatest moments of his life. Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony.”
