Young starlet Mischa Barton appears to be fighting a losing battle with the dreaded cellulite.

The 22-year-old actress was seen enjoying a spot of topless sunbathing in Australia – revealing her very dimpled thighs in her skimpy bikini bottoms – which showed off rather more than she would have liked.

Former OC star Mischa appears to have some issues with cellulite, as the back of her thighs look very dimpled, despite her youth.

It appears that not even this young ingenue can escape the modern hell of cellulite, which appears to be blight women of all ages.

Smoker Mischa is not often seen without a packet of cigarettes which may provide a clue as to why the young actress should be blighted by the stubborn fat, as it’s one of the toxic habits that contribute to the emergence of cellulite.

Mischa was staying at the uber-luxurious Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island with her mother Nuala after flying over to attend the MTV Music Awards.

She told an Australian newspaper: “I went jet skiing and scuba diving and saw some beautiful coral.

“I haven’t had a vacation in a long time so I just laid out and relaxed – it’s just been the two of us with our own pool. Real mother-daughter time.”

However reports that MTV was disappointed with her “lacklustre” presence at the awards upset her.

She said: “That’s wild. I was asked to present and do a half-day of press and phoners and I did that. I was just quiet because I was chilled.

“I was just chilling out. I went to quiet dinners in Sydney so I could meet people and experience the city. I really like it here.”

Mischa Barton will accept a plea deal in her DUI case, sparing her any jail time, a source tells PEOPLE.

The former O.C. star will plead no contest to DUI at her arraignment Thursday in Beverly Hills court, and agree to serve a three-year unsupervised probation term, the source says.

Barton will also be sentenced to a three-month alcohol-education class, and pay a fine of approximately $1,700. In addition, a marijuana possession charge against the actress will be dropped, due to the small amount found. Another charge of driving without a license will be reduced to an infraction, according to the source.

A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office would not comment on the case.

The terms of the plea deal, negotiated by Barton’s lawyer Anthony V. Salerno, are expected to be signed off on by the court Thursday. Such a deal is common for first-time offenders.

Barton, 22, was arrested for DUI in Los Angeles on Dec. 27, after sheriff deputies spotted her weaving between two lanes of traffic and she failed to signal when making a turn.

On Jan. 10, Barton told Ryan Seacrest’s L.A. radio show: “Obviously I’m 100 percent responsible for my actions in this case. I’m really disappointed in myself. I don’t know what to say about it, except that I’m not perfect, and I just don’t ever intend to do something this stupid again.”

MISCHA Barton has been secretly dating Brett Simon since he directed her in “The Assassination of a High School President,” reports cyber-gossip Janet Charlton, who notes, “Usually Mischa is attracted to wealthy men, and Brett is somewhat new to the business, but he has definite potential.” Simon, who started as a video director, is a 6-foot-4 Princeton grad, a far cry from her previous boyfriend, Brandon “Greasy Bear” Davis, who is less tall and less educated.
