She is rumoured to be a bit of a handful. But on this occasion, Naomi Campbell was more like a full armload of trouble.

The supermodel almost tumbled to the ground after a night out with friends in Italy on Wednesday.

Luckily, there was a man on hand to catch her. But the fellow – who was not quite as tall as the statuesque Miss Campbell – appeared to be struggling with his burden.

At one point, he seemed about to drop the giggling bundle of flailing limbs and flying hair.

The London-born model and her party had arrived on the island of Capri by boat earlier that day, and entered a nightclub at 1am.

They eventually left in high spirits at 3am and shortly afterwards Miss Campbell had her little fall. Once she had regained her composure, the group headed off into the night, leaving behind some amused onlookers.

‘We heard a little shriek and turned around,’ said one. ‘She was close to having a very embarrassing moment indeed, but managed to laugh it off though.’ But a spokesman for Miss Campbell denied that she fell. ‘Naomi was just joking around with friends,’ the spokesman said. ‘She was pretending to fall to see who would catch her.’

The model, who recently turned 38, was pictured in Cannes last month crying at her birthday party. And two weeks ago she was charged over an alleged air rage incident at Heathrow airport last month.

In 1993, Miss Campbell famously fell on the catwalk while modelling a pair of 10in Vivienne Westwood platform shoes. She collapsed into a fit of giggles on that occasion too.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell has undergone surgery to enable her to have children.

The catwalk queen, 38, is desperate to become a mother and recently had an operation to help her fulfill her dream. Although Campbell doesn’t specify her condition or give any details about the surgery, she insists she can now become a mother.

She says, “Now I can have a child I would like one. I’m even willing to have one without a father. I know that I am ready.” And Campbell believes motherhood will be life-changing for her.

She adds, “I know that with a baby I would change, I’d calm down. With a child you cannot accept compromises. You have to give your full self.”

Could hair loss be behind Naomi Campbell’s temper tantrums? The feisty supermodel started losing her hair “15 years ago,” fashion photographer Huggy Ragnarsson told The Sun newspaper.

Photos of Campbell in London on May 29, with what appeared to be a receding hairline, has launched the tress talk. Years of hair extensions are reportedly to blame. Ragnarsson told the Sun, “The hair stylist Sam McNight said to me in the ’90s, ‘She’d better be careful with those weaves, she’s going to lose her hair.’”

THERE were apparently no hard feelings for hot-headed hottie Naomi Campbell Saturday when she reunited with the police officers who arrested her at London’s Heathrow airport earlier this month. Instead of hitting, spitting or kicking, Campbell decided to kill them with kindness, smiling broadly as she chatted with two officers while leaving a departure lounge. But Campbell did have her bag in tow. Officials said she went ballistic April 3 before a British Airways flight to Los Angeles when one of her luggage pieces apparently got lost. She was abusive to the airline staff and then spat on one of the bobbies trying to calm her down, a London Metropolitan Police source said.

TEMPER-tantrum twit Naomi Campbell, who’s not known for having a good relationship with the truth, is making things up again. Campbell, banned from British Airways flights after she allegedly spat at a cop over missing luggage at Heathrow, claims airline officials have pleaded with her to fly with them again, but she’s refused because of their “complete disrespect for passengers.” That comes as news to the airline. “We are not aware of any pleading phone calls to Ms. Campbell,” an insider told London’s Evening Standard. Meanwhile, the supermodel, trying to repair her image as a deranged hothead, flew to Brazil – in the middle of a mosquito-borne dengue outbreak – to try and give blood at a blood drive, but was turned away because she underwent surgery in February. Campbell, who blamed her arrest at Heathrow on racism, could face up to six months in the slammer.

BUCKING clothes horse NAOMI CAMPBELL has been accused of hurling a torrent of racial abuse at a woman cop during her arrest at Heathrow last week.

The supermodel later claimed police only nicked her because she was black.

Now cops claim she called a WPC a “white ****” and a “white s**g” as she was dragged off the LA-bound jet in handcuffs.

The police source said Naomi continued, screaming: “f***ing white honkeys” at the officer and her colleagues.

Those anger management classes have clearly been a great success, then.

Campbell went berserk when she discovered one of her bags was missing at Terminal 5 last Thursday, allegedly spitting at officers who approached.

Senior Scotland Yard staff were furious when Naomi later claimed police only arrested her because of her colour.

She told a pal: “It just goes to show I have to fight for who I am. It’s because I’m black.”

But the multi-millionaire made no complaint of racist treatment during her seven-hour stay at Heathrow police station.

And a senior police source said yesterday: “It’s a bit rich coming from her.

“The WPC said she was called a white this and a white that.

“She has been away from work since the incident.”

The South London supermodel’s behaviour hasn’t gone unnoticed by BA top brass, either — they’ve banned her from using the airline again.

Chaotic

Naomi erupted at the new Terminal 5 as she fell victim to its chaotic opening which saw 20,000 bags belonging to passengers go missing.

Her spokeswoman said yesterday: “This doesn’t sound like anything she would say.”

On the ban, she added: “Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer.

“She hopes this can be resolved amicably.”

But a BA spokesman said: “All incidents of abusive or disruptive behaviour towards fellow passengers or staff are taken extremely seriously and will not be tolerated.”

Naomi has had a long history of violent outbursts.

Last year, the star was forced to mop floors at New York’s Sanitation Department as punishment for throwing a jewel-encrusted BlackBerry phone at her maid.

And she has been accused of several other incidents of violent abuse by staff over the last ten years.

I’ll be keeping my distance…

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been banned from flying with British Airways after she was escorted off a flight last week and arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer, media reports said on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old, released on bail pending an investigation into the incident, said she hoped the row with the airline could be resolved “amicably.”

BA said it had not made any announcement regarding Campbell. When asked about a report in the Mirror tabloid saying she had been banned, a spokesman said:

“We don’t comment in detail about matters relating to individual passengers.

“All incidents of abuse against passengers or staff are taken extremely seriously by BA and will not be tolerated. We deal with cases on an individual basis and will take whatever action we feel is necessary.”

Campbell’s spokeswoman in London added: “Naomi has been flying with British Airways for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably.”

British police are investigating the disturbance last Thursday at London Heathrow’s new Terminal 5.

Campbell was on a British Airways flight due to depart for Los Angeles when one of two bags she had checked in went missing, according to her spokeswoman.

BA has been beset by problems with the high-tech check-in and baggage handling systems at the new 4.3 billion pound ($8.6 billion) terminal. Hundreds of flights were canceled and tens of thousands of bags have gone missing.

It is not the first time Campbell has been in trouble with the law.

She spent five days mopping floors as part of a community service sentence in New York last year after throwing a mobile phone at her housekeeper during an argument over a pair of jeans. She was also ordered to attend anger management classes.

Naomi Campbell was released on bail Friday after a spat with a police officer at Heathrow Airport’s troubled new Terminal 5, where one of her bags was lost.

Campbell, 37, left the airport police station just after midnight. London’s Metropolitan Police said she was released pending further inquiries and told to report to a police station in late May.

The London-born supermodel was arrested late Thursday on suspicion of assaulting an officer after police were called to a disturbance at the airport. Since Terminal 5 opened last week, more than 28,000 bags have been separated from their owners.

Witnesses said Campbell was aboard a British Airways plane due to depart for Los Angeles when she became involved in a dispute because one of her bags had been lost. During the dispute, Campbell allegedly spit on the officer.

Campbell’s spokeswoman, Annabel Fox, said Campbell was traveling to the U.S. to attend a memorial service and had boarded the plane when she was told one of her two checked bags was missing.

British Airways “decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her,” Fox said.

Campbell has a history of assaulting assistants and employees.

In 2000, she pleaded guilty in Toronto to an assault charge for beating an assistant while making a film in 1998. Under an agreement with prosecutors, Campbell expressed remorse and was released without punishment or a criminal record.

In January 2007, Campbell pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing her cell phone at her maid in a dispute over a missing pair of jeans. She was ordered to do community service and attend a two-day anger-management program.

NAOMI Campbell was arrested at Heathrow Airport this afternoon after allegedly SPITTING at a police officer.

The supermodel was hauled away “ranting and screaming” from her flight at Terminal Five after a row over a lost bag.

Naomi first kicked off in BA’s first class lounge after being told that one of her three bags had not made it onto the flight.

Despite apologies and assurances she would be reunited with her luggage, the temperamental supermodel flew into a rage.

She began harassing airline staff who called cops as the flight was called and Naomi walked onto the plane.

She was still yelling at boarding card staff as she took her seat.

Three officers from the MET’s SO18 Aviation security branch then came onto the plane.

They tried to calm the model down, but she is alleged to have reacted by spitting at an officer and then laying into him with her fists.

Frenzied Naomi was bought under control after a struggle and then physically hauled off the plane.

Cops were called and she was heard screaming “get off me, leave me alone” before she attacked one and was taken away to Heathrow police station.

An eyewitness said: “She attacked a male police officer and spat at him and she was taken to the airport police station”.

A Heathrow spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a passenger was removed by police from a BA flight this afternoon.”

BA269 left more than an hour and a half late while bags belonging to the model and her entourage were taken from the flight.

Last year the Streatham-born model had to mop floors at New York’s Sanitation Department as a community service punishment for throwing a mobile phone at her maid.
