Naomi Campbell was arrested Thursday for investigation of assaulting a police officer at London’s Heathrow Airport, a source confirmed.

According to Metropolitan Police, officers were “alerted to a disturbance” at 5:11 p.m. at the newly opened Terminal 5, where travelers’ frustrations have flared due to baggage delays since opening last week.

“Subsequently, a 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer,” a police spokesperson says. “She was taken to Heathrow Police Station where she currently remains in custody.”

Police didn’t identify the woman. But a source confirms it was the 37-year-old Campbell, arrested after she boarded a plane.

“Police were called to remove a passenger from a British Airways flight this afternoon,” a British airport authority spokesperson says.

The passenger was Campbell, awaiting the British Airways flight to Los Angeles, a source tells Reuters.

This is the latest alleged scuffle involving Campbell.

She was ordered to attend anger management classes and complete five days of community service last year working in a New York sanitation garage after she allegedly threw a cell phone at her housekeeper.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell spent a second day recuperating in a Brazilian hospital Wednesday after doctors removed a cyst.

“We have been instructed to not release any information regarding Naomi,” a Sirio Libanes Hospital spokeswoman said on condition of anonymity in line with hospital policy. “All I can tell you is that she is still at the hospital and that she is recovering very nicely.”

Neither the spokeswoman nor Campbell’s publicist, Jeff Raymond, knew how long she would remain there.

Campbell, a frequent visitor to Brazil who earlier this month celebrated Carnival in the northeastern city of Salvador, was admitted in recent days to the Sao Paulo facility.

Gynecologist Jose Aristodemo Pinotti described the procedure as a laparoscopy, in which doctors use a thin, lighted scope to view internal organs.

On Tuesday, the day after the surgery, Pinotti said Campbell was “completely cured and walking in her room.”

The supermodel also was being cared for by David Uip, one of Brazil’s leading experts in the treatment of infectious diseases, the hospital said.

Naomi Campbell has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo and is being treated by one of Brazil’s top specialists in infectious disease, the hospital’s press office said Tuesday.

A publicist for the 37-year-old British supermodel confirmed Campbell was treated at a hospital and had a small cyst removed. There were no other details.

“Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital … to have a small cyst removed,” her publicist, Jeff Raymond, said in a statement.

“Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work. She would like to thank the doctors who have kindly looked after her.”

Campbell, a frequent visitor to Brazil, celebrated Carnival earlier this month in the northeastern city of Salvador. She was hospitalized Sunday in Sao Paulo’s Sirio Libanes Hospital.

She is under the care of David Uip, a specialist in infectious diseases, and gynecologist Jose Aristodemo Pinotti, the hospital said in a statement.

“The patient and her advisers have determined that the hospital’s medical staff will not issue any formal or informal information on her medical condition,” the hospital statement said.

Even though Led Zeppelin’s reunion show in London last night got rave reviews from critics across the board, one fan wasn’t so thrilled.

Naomi Campbell told FOXNews.com’s Roger Friedman that she was mugged while in the luxury box of the O2 Arena.

“Someone stole my handbag. It had two phones in it!” Friedman reported in today’s FOX411 column.

Friedman said the supermodel — who has a history of violence and once allegedly struck a maid with a cell phone — was fighting with a security men as she told them of the incident. It was unclear if she filed a police report.

British supermodel Naomi Campbell met privately with President Hugo Chavez on Tuesday, becoming the latest in a series of celebrities hosted by the Venezuelan leader.

Campbell flashed a smile to reporters as she arrived at the presidential palace, but said little about what she hoped to discuss with Chavez.

“I’ve been here before actually,” she said. “A beautiful country, very tropical. You’ve got great waterfalls.”

Then, before turning to walk inside, she added: “I’m not going to be political. Thank you very much.”

Last month, Chavez met in Caracas with American actor Kevin Spacey, who praised the Venezuelan government’s efforts to support film-making. The Venezuelan President also has hosted recent visits by Hollywood stars including Sean Penn and Danny Glover.
