Here they go again! Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden are expecting another child, barely a year after the arrival of daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden last Jan. 11.

In a message on the Web site of Good Charlotte, the band he fronts, Madden, 29, wrote, “I am so happy to tell everyone that Harlow is going to be a big sister! God has truly blessed my family. Hope [you're] all feeling as good as i am right now.” Madden’s message is titled “Better than winning an OSCAR!”

After a famously wild childhood, Richie, 27, credited the birth of daughter Harlow for leading her to a more tranquil life at home with Madden. “She gives life a whole new meaning,” Richie told PEOPLE in a coverstory featuring stunning photos of the blissful family.

Reps for Madden and Richie did not immediately return calls for comment.

Sources tell Page Six that since Madden split from Hilton, Richie’s best pal, Nicole “has been really possessive and stops him from talking to other girls.” Richie, who has a baby with Benji’s twin, Joel Madden, was spotted at a party for the Maddens’ band, Good Charlotte, and their latest album, “Greatest Remixes.” Our spy said, “Benji was approached by dozens of ladies. Girls were trying to flirt with him . . . but Nicole kept getting in the way.” The source noted that Richie “stopped every girl trying to take a photo of him,” and even “dragged him by the arm” away from a busty blonde.

Zoe – who was unknown outside fashion circles until Richie called her “lettuce cup” and “raisin face” on her MySpace page – was seen on her Bravo reality show crying over the comments. But the two were spotted smiling and chatting at the Vogue party hosted at the Alberta Ferretti store opening in LA Wednesday night. “Nicole and Rachel introduced their husbands to each other. They talked for 20 minutes about real estate and the economy,” said our spy.

Nicole Richie “is in shock” after her ex fiance DJ AM and pal Travis Barker were critically injured in a jet crash upon takeoff from a Columbia, South Carolina, airport after midnight Friday. Four people – including Barker’s assistant – were killed.

“She wishes only the best for Adam and hopes he recovers from this,” a pal tells Usmagazine.com. “She’s horribly upset about the people who died.”

Her beau Joel Madden “knows Travis and also feels terrible and hopes they recover. This is terrible news for both of them.”

Meanwhile, Shanna Moakler, Barker’s ex, “is devastated and in total shock. It just hit her,” another source tells Us.

The pal says she is hopping in a plane to be by his side.

Says the source: “Shanna is freaking and in panic mode right now.”
