In this week’s Page Six Magazine – Rebecca Romijn, with twin daughters on the way, opens up about fertility drugs, maternity sex appeal and her split from ex-husband John Stamos.
On using medical intervention to get pregnant:
“We did not do IVF… A year ago, we tried [the fertility drug] Clomid for a couple of months unsuccessfully. But by the second month, I was like, ‘Ahhh! I hate this!’ I think when you start messing with your own hormones, it’s crazy-making.”
On her body during pregnancy:
“I can’t move anymore…I’m a beached whale! …I have not been without a bra this entire pregnancy. I refuse. I’m not taking any chances. I’m determined to keep the puppies up!”
On speculation that the cause of her 2004 divorce was that she did not want children:
“There is absolutely no truth to that. That [story] was completely made up. I desperately wanted kids. I was never a girl who dreamed about what her wedding day would be like, but I’ve always dreamed about decorating my baby’s nursery.”
On husband Jerry O’Connell’s fathering skills:
I knew early on he would be a fantastic dad. He’s a pragmatic, smart, savvy, enthusiastic person. He really lives his life with tremendous integrity, and he’s a healthy person in every single way.”
On parenting:
“I’ve just surrendered to the fact that [parenting] will be the hardest thing I’ll ever do. I know my life will never be the same – but in the best way possible.”

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell will soon be on double diaper duty.
Us Weekly has learned that Romijn, 35, and O’Connell, 34, are expecting twins this winter.
A spokesman for the couple confirmed the news Monday morning.
The babies will be the first children for the pair.
Romijn and O’Connell met at a party in 2004; he proposed a year later. They got married in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles in July 2007. See their wedding photo.
A source close to the actor tells Us, “Jerry couldn’t be happier about becoming a dad.”
Earlier this month, O’Connell told Us that they had been trying to have kids.
“It would be amazing if it happened,” he said at the Much Love Animal Rescue’s “Bow Wow WOW!” event in L.A. July 19. “I hope it does happen.”
He joked that the conception process had been “a lot fun for me,” adding that they go at it “at least a few days a month!”
Asked about the secret to a happy marriage, O’Connell told Us, “We have a lot of fun together. I really enjoy being with her. I think Rebecca really enjoys being with me.”
Next up: O’Connell will star in the new Fox sitcom Do Not Disturb (premiering this fall). Romijn will star in the drama Lake City (due in November) and will return for a handful of episodes of ABC’s Ugly Betty in the fall.
Do they ever want to work together?
“Yeah, but we are so afraid of that Gigli effect!” O’Connell joked. “You can’t really go there anymore. It’s over. It’s done.”

Jerry O’Connell & Rebecca Romijn Are ‘Trying to Get Pregnant’

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell, who celebrated their first wedding anniversary July 14, are not expecting a baby – yet!
“We’re trying to get pregnant,” the actor told PEOPLE Saturday at the Playboy Mansion, where he stepped out for Much Love Animal Rescue’s 2nd annual Bow Wow Wow event in Los Angeles. “It would be amazing if it happened. I hope it does.”
O’Connell, who says trying to get pregnant is “a lot of fun,” brought along the couple’s dogs Taco and Better who he called “our babies.”
“It’s just such a great feeling you get when you rescue an animal,” he said. “They’re eternally grateful and they really trust you and they’re just the best.”
Besides, he said, “Pets are training for kids.”
Though the couple spent their first wedding anniversary apart – she was in New York and he was in L.A. – O’Connell says their time apart may actually help their relationship.
“Being apart, you want to make the most of your time together,” he says. “And we really have a lot of fun together.”

Rebecca Romijn and LeAnn Rimes Visit “Late Show With David Letterman”

Ugly Betty star Rebecca Romijn and actor Jerry O’Connell have tied the knot — cowboy style.
A representative for Romijn confirmed to Usmagazine.com that the marriage took place at 6 p.m. PT on Saturday.
The casual, western-themed affair took place at the couple’s ranch in the L.A. suburb of Calabasas. Prior to the evening ceremony, guests were treated to a lemonade bar and appetizers created by Savore Cuisine.
Romijn and O’Connell exchanged vows in 100-degree heat in front of approximately 100 guests. The groom wore a khaki suit and entered with his brother, actor Charlie O’Connell. They were soon followed by the couple’s two dogs and a gospel choir singing Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
The bride followed after her own maid of honor and completed her grand entrance in a white floor-length gown with a plunging neckline, her hair partially down, carrying a bouquet of white flowers.
Romijn and O’Connell exchanged vows under a big tree adorned with large white flowers. A female officiant conducted the ceremony.
The relatively brief ceremony ended 15 minutes later with a kiss and cheers from the wedding guests. The couple skipped down the aisle as the gospel choir serenaded them with Milk and Sugar’s “Sunshine.”
Their wedding guests later enjoyed a barbecue reception complete with brown picnic tables, wagon wheels, colorful hay bale seats and a large dance floor that was placed over the couple’s pool.
Romijn, 34, and O’Connell, 33, announced their engagement in September of 2005. This is the second marriage for Romijn, who was previously married to Full House star John Stamos from 1998 to 2004. While this is a first marriage for O’Connell, the actor was previously engaged to E! News host Giuliana DePandi.
