Ryan Seacrest is Fox’s 45 Million-Dollar Man.

The “American Idol” host has closed a new three-year deal with “Idol” producer 19 Entertainment, said to be worth $15 million a year.

Under the pact, which is believed to be the richest ever for a reality host, Seacrest is locked in as host of “Idol” through 2012.

Additionally, Seacrest will work with “Idol” creator and 19 principal Simon Fuller on developing new projects.

“Ryan is an essential ingredient to ‘American Idol’s’ success, and I am so happy that we will continue our relationship beyond ‘Idol’ into the future,” Fuller said. “Ryan is without a doubt one of American television’s most talented stars.”

Under the agreement, Seacrest will be exclusive to 19 and parent company CKX in broadcast TV primetime for his hosting services.

Seacrest has a separate cable deal with Comcast and is E! Entertainment’s lead anchor. He also produces such shows as E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and ABC’s upcoming Jamie Oliver reality series.

The pact, which had been in the works for the past several weeks, gives Seacrest a gigantic pay raise, more than tripling his previous salary of slightly less than $5 million a season.

With Seacrest’s renegotiation out of the way, the “Idol” producers will focus on securing the show’s judges for the near future.

Uber-judge Simon Cowell has made statements that he might leave the singing competition when his contract is up at the end of next season. The British media has pegged his salary demands for staying on the show at more than $100 million a year.

Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi, whose contracts are up, have said they hope to close deals to return next season.

Randy Jackson has one more season under his current deal.

Although the ratings for the reality juggernaut have slipped in the past couple of years, “Idol” remains the highest-rated series on television by a mile and is a windfall for its producers.

This is … a rich new deal for “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest.

The ubiquitous Seacrest is putting the finishing touches on a contract extension with “Idol” co-producer 19 Entertainment to continue to emcee the top-rated series on TV.

The pact, which is believed to be for three years, will give Seacrest a major pay raise and make him one of the highest-paid reality hosts on television. He made slightly less than $5 million this season for his work on “Idol,” which breaks down to about $100,000 per episode.

Additionally, Seacrest is said to be expanding his relationship with 19 Entertainment, possibly to develop series with 19 principal and “Idol” creator Simon Fuller.

“Idol” is produced jointly by 19, Fremantle and Fox. All declined to comment on Seacrest’s new deal, as did his attorneys at Hansen Jacobson, but the agreement is expected to be announced Monday.

In addition to his hosting duties on Fox’s “Idol,” E! News and on the radio — where he has a daily show and hosts “American Top 40″ — Seacrest has made an entree into producing with such unscripted series as “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated” and ABC’s upcoming show starring British chef Jamie Oliver.

Seacrest traveled to the U.K. last month and met with executives at 19 to discuss a new deal.

He is not the only “Idol” star to use the show’s off-season to hammer out a new pact for the show. The “Idol” judges also are negotiating new deals.

Uber-judge Simon Cowell has made statements suggesting that he might leave the singing competition when his contract is up at the end of next season. The British media has pegged his salary demands for staying on the show at more than $100 million a year.

The other judges — Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi — all have said they hope to close deals to return next season.

Though the ratings for the reality juggernaut have slipped in the past couple of years, “Idol” remains the highest-rated series on television by a mile and is a windfall for its producers.

Lindsay Lohan is coming to a television set near you!

The starlet was recently spotted having a business meeting with Ryan Seacrest at L.A. hotspot H’Wood on June 18.

“Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her…it helps people and gives others a second shot!” Seacrest wrote on Twitter. “Still putting it all together.”

Luckily for Lohan, whose career seems to have taken a break, the “American Idol” host has had a string of successful reality shows under his belt.

Seacrest, 34, has been the mastermind behind shows like NBC’s “Momma’s Boys,” MTV’s “Bromance” and E!’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.”

Lohan, 22, also mentioned details of the pair’s new project on her Twitter page.

“Working on a really great project for television – I am excited!” she tweeted. “Something meaningful like Extreme Home Makeover on ABC… :)

According to TMZ.com, the focus of the untitled television series will be on people who are on the wrong track and are given $1 million dollars to have a second chance.

No, she won’t be a contestant, but Lohan is reportedly set to be a judge on a panel of judges who hear contestant’s stories.

Seacrest was spotted recently taking a break in Paris with a buxom brunette who was described by online gossips as a “Megan Fox look-alike.” Now our source says the “American Idol” host’s new catch is Jasmine Waltz. “She’s a cocktail waitress at Guys nightclub in LA, and that’s where they met,” said our snitch. A rep for Seacrest had no comment.

On his KIIS-FM radio show Monday, Ryan Seacrest spoke out about Angelina Jolie dissing him on the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards.

Seacrest had gotten up next to the actress and beau Brad Pitt, hoping to score an interview on E!’s pre-show. “Hi, guys. Brad? Angelina?” he said, but they ignored his advance and brushed by him.

Seacrest’s take on the incident?

“I don’t think Angelina thinks I’m that important,” he said on his show Monday. “I don’t think I’m top of mind for Brad and Angelina. I honestly don’t believe they’d know who I was if I walked over there.”

When guest Perez Hilton told Seacrest that that’s impossible, as he hosts the No. 1 show American Idol, the TV personality shot back: “Yeah…but they live in France!”

Jolie and Pitt did stop for NBC’s Billy Bush, but Seacrest said, “there’s an NBC deal there. NBC hosted the Globes, and they have a deal to talk to the people who come to the Globes.

“Here’s what I realized when I went down there,” Seacrest went on. “I realized quickly that it’s against the rules to walk down onto the carpet from the platform.

“Then we went back down there and caught up with Tom Cruise, who I think is a terrific guy. I think he’s really cool,” he said. “By the way, have you seen his skin tone up close lately? You should!”

Seacrest clashed with Jolie before: At the 2006 Golden Globes, he asked her what she fed her children that day and she icily replied ” Cereal — we made cereal.”

He later called her “cold” for being so unresponsive.

Turns out, Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, was on her death bed at the time.

So much for a relaxing trip to the beach.

On his KIIS-FM radio show Monday, Ryan Seacrest said he decided to take a dip in the ocean over the weekend when, he said, “I was bit by a shark!”

He said he was “about eight feet out” when he felt something swim by him.

“I thought it was a stick,” he said. “I wasn’t sure what had happened.”

Then, he said, “I saw it swim! He took a bite, and he left.”

Seacrest, 33, said the shark’s tooth “wasn’t a great thing to find. It was like finding a splinter!”

Although he said he was “in pain,” the American Idol co-host wasn’t hurt too badly, as he still went on the air to blab about it. (“I need to take an Advil!” he yelped.)

But he’s bitter.

Asked by his radio co-host if anyone else got bit, Seacrest lamented: “No, just me, of course! There were like 1,000 people in the ocean, and I get bit by the shark!”

RYAN Seacrest wants wimps. The “American Idol” host is advertising in “Backstage” for single guys who “have a unique and strong relationship” with their mothers for a new NBC reality show he’s exec-producing called “Momma’s Boys.” Candidates should be ready to be humiliated. “Mothers should have strong opinions about whom their sons should date and be willing to separate the good from the bad,” the casting call reads.

Ryan Seacrest might be adding hosting duties of another kind to his schedule in 2009. A source from within CNN says that Seacrest, who has filled in for his friend Larry King in the past, is involved in “serious negotiations” to take over “Larry King Live” around year’s end. King told The New York Times in April 2007 that Seacrest would be his first choice to take over the show when the time came.

“He’s the classic generalist,” King told the Times. “The only thing I don’t know, and I’ve gotten to know him pretty well, is how versed he is in politics, world affairs. Does he read the paper? Is he interested in Iraq? Because if he is, he’s going to be very good.”

Another source familiar with Seacrest and his involvement on “American Idol” said that a drastic course change might be just what Seacrest needs. “He’s so serious about his career, but like anyone, he wants it to evolve. Hosting ‘Larry King’ would be perfect for him.”

A rep for Seacrest said that “Larry and Ryan are close and Ryan does fill in as a guest host from time to time, but we have no comment on this story.” Another source close to CNN, on the other hand, said “there is no truth to this story.”

It’s no secret that “American Idol” ratings have taken a turn for the worse this year, so it stands to reason that Fox would start wondering aloud about what can be done to reverse momentum.

An online market research survey was issued last week and, while the suits behind the show probe every aspect of the broadcast, there is a noticeable focus on “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest.

While all of the main players were included in the question, “How important are each of the following people to your overall enjoyment of ‘American Idol’?” the survey asks participants to weigh in on two extra statements: “I like the interaction between Ryan and the contestants” and “I like the interaction between the judges and Ryan.”

The extra focus has some wondering whether a hosting change might be exactly what the show needs. “Ryan is so busy turning himself in a diverse brand, one that has longevity, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to think that he isn’t worried about his job security with ‘Idol,’” said a source close to Seacrest.

Reps for the “Idol” host didn’t comment as to whether Seacrest had been approached at all about a changing role on the show, but one “Idol” source did explain the questions, saying that they “fall under the leave-no-stone-unturned category more than anything else.”
