Sources close to East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry confirm for 7 News that the surrogate mother for Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick gave birth to twins last night.

Sources tell 7 News Reporter Dave Elias that Parker and Broderick spent the day at the hospital with the surrogate.

We are also learning that Parker and Broderick are expected to make some type of announcement before they leave the hospital.

However, Hospital Spokesperson Maggie Espina would not confirm or deny our reports. She would only say that the hospital has no comment at this time.

Security at the hospital is tight this morning. We’re told additional guards have been brought in and even more are on standby, if needed, as this story is expected to get national attention.

7 News cameras are there. We will have a live report from the hospital today at Noon.

All of this comes on the heels of an investigation that centers on the Martins Ferry Police Chief and nearby Chief Chad Dojack who allegedly conspired to break into the home belonging to surrogate mother and allegedly take pictures of plaster paris mold the woman had made outlining her pregnant stomach.

Harrison County Prosecutor Shawn Hervey tells wtrf.com that the investigation is still ongoing.

We have just confirmed today that BCI officials will be in town on Wednesday talking with more police officers who may have had knowledge about the event.

The “Sex and the City” star was pulled over by state troopers on Route 27 in the Hamptons at dusk the other night when cops noticed the lights were off on the Mercedes minivan she was driving with her son, James. “She told him it was a brand-new car and she didn’t know how to turn them on,” a source tells us. “They showed her how and let her go with a warning. Parker, through her rep, said, “The officer was patient and kind.”

Sarah Jessica Parker has found herself in the midst of a real-life crime story.

Two police chiefs are under investigation for allegedly breaking into the Martins Ferry, Ohio, home of SJP’s surrogate in an attempt to dig up dirt they hoped to sell to the tabloids. The woman is scheduled to give birth to twin girls for Parker and husband Matthew Broderick in mid-July.

Local TV station WTRF claims that Martins Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter and Bridgeport Police Chief Chad DoJack sealed a big-bucks deal with a reporter to burglarize the surrogate’s house and gather information for a magazine exposé.

Reportedly, the burglars were sent to the house to hunt for voice-mail messages the “Sex and the City” star had left her surrogate, although it isn’t clear whether any information was gleaned. The surrogate had temporarily moved out because of similar break-ins.

Although law enforcement sources tell TMZ.com that the cops have hard evidence against the police chiefs under investigation, Carpenter denies all involvement. “I’m 100% innocent in this, and my department is as well,” he said Wednesday.
Parker and Broderick, meanwhile, are sure to be furious at the violation of their surrogate’s privacy – one that follows several others.

“The most unsavory of things have been done,” Parker has said. “She’s had her phone hacked, her personal computer information hacked, she’s had threats against her and true harassment. … There’s simply no excuse for doing this to somebody. It’s not acceptable. I am incredibly outraged by the sort of extraordinary and unprecedented invasion of her privacy.”

Since the case is being scrutinized by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, it’s only natural that Parker and her husband can reveal little about the reports.

In a statement, Broderick’s rep simply said, “Matthew and Sarah Jessica have complete faith in the legal system. But because it’s a criminal investigation, we will not be making any more comment. What I can say is the entire family looks forward to the healthy delivery of their daughters later this summer.”

Sarah Jessica Parker says she’s concerned for the safety and well-being of the surrogate through whom she and husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twins.

The “Sex and the City” star tells “Access Hollywood” that the attention has led to an invasion of the woman’s privacy. Parker says the stress has taken its toll on her, and she worries about her “and the safe delivery of our children.”

The 44-year-old says in an interview airing Tuesday on NBC that the surrogate’s telephone and computer have been hacked into, and she’s received threats. Parker says it hasn’t ended there: “She’s had friends threatened and family threatened and she’s had family of friends threatened.”

“I care deeply about her and I am incredibly outraged by the sort of extraordinary and unprecedented invasion of her privacy,” says Parker. “I think even given the unfortunate way we live now in this unending appetite for the more salacious information, it has still shocked me, and it has still really disappointed me.”

Parker said a pregnant friend of the surrogate was also chased by the paparazzi.

“She’s had a friend who was thought to be her chased down a highway … This friend is nine months pregnant – chased down a highway by photographers and dare I call them ‘reporters.’ I guess that’s how they identify themselves,” she said. “It’s crossed lines – Pretty much all the lines have been crossed.”

The couple has a 6-year-old son, James Wilkie Broderick.

Now that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are expanding their brood with surrogate twin girls, the actress is even more worried about how to juggle her job and her family.

Parker is filming “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” with Hugh Grant on the upper East side, while Broderick has been busy with Broadway’s “The Philanthropist.”

“It’s been a complicated past few weeks,” Parker told us at “The Philanthropist” premiere. “My main concern is that my husband and son [James Wilkie, now 6 years old] have enough time. I’ve felt very conflicted over the last few weeks.

“Hopefully, our son is feeling loved and taken care of. I can’t really complain because it’s my choice to work, but that doesn’t mean I don’t spend a better part of the day worrying about whether my family is getting enough [time] from me.”

Now, with a double blessing set to arrive this summer, there will be even less of her to go around.

“Any complications or any anxiety I feel is normal,” Parker said. “Any mother who wants to continue to work and have a career outside the home goes through this, so I feel very much a part of the sisterhood.”

Parker’s work schedule will certainly have her tied up over the coming months. Aside from “What About the Morgans?” she’s in talks to appear in two more feature films, in addition to producing a new Bravo project, “American Artist” — a “Project Runway”-style show centered on the art world. She’ll also start the much-anticipated sequel to “Sex and the City” this summer.

Broderick, meanwhile, has no films on the horizon. His next role may just be stay-at-home dad, which wouldn’t bother James Wilkie at all.

“Once, when I got home [from rehearsal] at two in the morning, James came downstairs,” Broderick told us. “I said, ‘What are you doing up?’ He just said, ‘I want to see what the heck is happening!’”

As for all those reviewers who skewered Broderick for his turn in “The Philanthropist,” well, James begs to differ. “He came to see Matthew during the day of the first previews,” Parker said. “And he came home and told me, ‘Papa knew his lines’ and that he was ‘dashing.’ And that Matthew’s accent was very good.”

Take that, critics. Hopefully, Matthew’s next two kiddies will be just as supportive!

Sarah Jessica Parker, 44, and Matthew Broderick, 47, are expecting twin girls via a surrogate. In a statement, their reps announced, “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate. The entire family is overjoyed.”

A friend of the couple, who married in 1997, tells Entertainment Weekly exclusively that Parker and Broderick have been trying for years to add to their family ever since the birth of their son, James Wilkie, now 6. But the road hasn’t been an easy one. “They had a lot of unsuccessful tries,” says the friend. “They came to the conclusion that this was going to be the best alternative for expanding their family.” The couple turned to a surrogate — whose name and place of residence have not been disclosed — last year. “They’re over the moon and excited as any prospective parents would be,” says the friend. “Their life is about to get a lot busier.”

Parker is filming Did You Hear About the Morgans? a romantic comedy costarring Hugh Grant, and plans to star and produce in a sequel to her 2008 hit Sex and the City. Broderick’s latest film, the drama Wonderful World, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 27, and he’s currently starring on Broadway in The Philanthropist.

Do you believe this? I must admit of all the cheating going on I’m a little surprised by this one…

Sarah Jessica Parker’s husband has been sneaking off for hot trysts with a stunning redhead half his age, sources tell Star in a blockbuster exclusive.
In the new issue of Star — on newsstands now — we report that while the beloved actress was frantically searching for hubby Matthew Broderick one night earlier this year, he was having sex in the city with a gorgeous redhead half his age, the young woman told a friend.

After meeting in a bar, Matthew began text messaging the 25-year-old youth counselor, says the woman’s pal. Soon after, the insider claims, they began seeing each other and things got passionate quickly when they met at the Manhattan townhouse of a showbiz friend.

Sources say the woman felt conflicted with her relationship with Matthew, whom she nicknamed “Matty Cakes.” She tried to end it, say insiders, but that didn’t happen and over the next month — when Sarah Jessica was filming Sex and the City: The Movie in Los Angeles — multiple eyewitnesses say they saw Matthew make late-night visits to the other woman’s apartment building.

During one tryst, they arrived at her friend’s apartment after a night of heavy drinking, says a source. She dragged Matthew into the friend’s bedroom, then shut the door. “A half hour later, Matthew opened the bedroom door, mumbled ‘Well… ‘bye!’ and walked out. The friend found her passed out on the bed in her panties.”

Sarah Jessica Parker’s refusal to submit to the surgeon’s scalpel marked her out in an industry where cosmetic surgery is the norm.

But she has finally bowed to pressure to have her distinctive mole removed.

The decision followed increasing criticism and downright abuse from fans who complained that they found it ‘distracting’.

The distinctive beauty spot was firmly in evidence in May, at the London premiere of the Sex and the City movie in Leicester Square. It was still there last month at a charity event in New York.

But only a faint mark remained where the mole used to be when the 43-year-old fashion icon attended a baseball game in the Big Apple.

The publicist for the actress known to many by her initials SJP insisted yesterday that she had not undergone cosmetic surgery.

She said: ‘Nothing has been removed.’ But the transformation from prominent mole to almost invisible blemish seemed far too dramatic to be the result of make-up artistry.

And a few hours later, a source close to the star confirmed that she had the mole removed in the past two weeks.

he source said: ‘I don’t know when exactly she had it done but she has definitely had a procedure. She’s kept it really quiet though.’

Miss Parker’s fellow thespian Ewan McGregor had two moles removed from his face last year following a trip round Africa.

He said: ‘I just went to have them checked. You have to be careful with moles if you’re pale-skinned and you spend time in the sun. So I went to see a specialist who thought they were better to be removed and indeed he was correct.’

Former supermodel Cindy Crawford, 42, still has a dark mole above her top lip, however.

She was encouraged to have it removed at the beginning of her career but refused – and it didn’t do her earning power any harm.

Kate Sowerbutts, clinical nurse specialist at the Mole Clinic in London, said: ‘Sarah Jessica Parker looks like she has a compound mole which is quite unlikely to be cancerous. It is more likely she had it removed for cosmetic purposes.

‘These type of inherited moles continue to grow and grow as we get older which may account for why she decided to have it removed. It’s such an easy procedure, she would have been home within an hour.’
