THE claws are out on the set of Iron Man 2 with stars SCARLETT JOHANSSON and GWYNETH PALTROW going head to head.
Gwynny reckons her on-set rival is hogging the limelight and now sparks are flying between the movie’s two female leads.

One Hollywood source revealed yesterday: “Gwyneth has become very frustrated with Scarlett.

“They come from different worlds and have completely different styles.

“Gwyneth has found Scarlett very demanding of the attention of the crew. It’s not a happy set.”

Sounds to me like a clash of the Iron Ladies — and the luvvie A-listers are not for turning.

Gwyneth has been left exhausted by the politics and a series of strenuous scenes and and is now taking a two-week break from filming.

Hubby CHRIS MARTIN has lavished her with love and supported her at a dinner with friends in LA.

The couple have now left for the US east coast for COLDPLAY’s latest US dates.

In the film Gwyneth once again plays Pepper Potts, assistant to comic book hero Tony Stark (ROBERT DOWNEY JNR).

But for the sequel — out next year — film-makers opted to bring in Scarlett as Natasha Romanoff, a sexy former spy known as the Black Widow.

The on-set source added: “Gwyneth and Scarlett have never been particularly close.

“Gwyneth was looking forward to working with EMILY BLUNT, who was originally in line for the part, but it ended up being Scarlett. Gwyneth’s had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven’t developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point.

“In fact, it’s quite the opposite.”

While Scarlett has been donning sexy catsuits and carrying guns for the scenes shot so far, Gwyneth has mainly had to settle for prim business suits.

But she has been assured she will get her moment to come out all guns blazing in the flick’s action-packed finale.

The source went on: “The most spectacular sequence in the movie is a huge fight between Robert and MICKEY ROURKE, and she is going to be right in the thick of things.

“That section of the movie is going to be three straight weeks of filming in June.

“It is by far the most expensive sequence, the centrepiece of the whole project.

“Gwyneth’s break has come at a perfect time.

“She can recharge her batteries before returning for her chance to show who is boss.”

Scarlett Johansson knows you want a piece of her . . . but maybe not this piece.

On Wednesday’s “Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” the sultry actress was cajoled into auctioning off a used tissue on eBay, with the proceeds going toward her favorite charity. As of press time, the bidding was upward of $2,200 — and ScarJo says the tissue should fetch an even better price, since it helped soothe a case of the sniffles that Samuel L. Jackson gave her while filming “The Spirit.”

“I almost don’t want to lose it,” she joked about her A-list germs. “It’s a celebrity cold. I feel like it’s valuable in some way!”

At Leno’s prodding, Johansson had blown her nose into a Kleenex and vowed to sell it on behalf of hunger-relief organization USA Harvest. The auction ends Monday at 6:35 p.m.

“We’re feeding people, and we’re draining my sinuses!” she laughed. “It’s a good thing.”

Let’s just be thankful she didn’t have food poisoning.

Scarlett Johansson tells December’s Allure she doesn’t know why Lindsay Lohan doesn’t like her.

“I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times,” says the actress, 23, who lost the lead role in The Parent Trap to Lohan when she was 13.

Lohan famously scrawled vulgar words about the actress on a Big Apple bathroom stall 2½ years ago.

“That’s what I heard,” Johansson says of the incident. “I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’”

Not everyone in Hollywood has a beef with the actress. Woody Allen once called her his muse.

But the Vicky Cristina Barcelona star tells Allure, “I don’t inspire that work that Woody does. I’m just lucky to fit into the ‘young woman’ category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn’t me, it would be someone else.”

Another Johansson fan? Katy Perry, who penned the tune “I Kissed a Girl” after her.

“I had no idea [about the song] — I should get a cut!” she says. “That’s flattering, but my lips are kind of taken.”

Asked how she met husband Ryan Reynolds (whom she began dating last year), she says, “Nobody knows. It’s private. It’s our story.”

Johansson also zipped her lips about a tattoo on her forearm.

“It’s kind of personal,” the star says. “It’s a sunrise, and it makes me happy when I look at it.”

Ryan Reynolds is planning to run the ING New York City Marathon on Sunday – against his better judgment.

“I would sooner be prime minister of the moon than run another marathon,” the actor said in New York on Friday. “I’ve been really lucky. I didn’t have any toenails fall off or anything disgusting like that. I still have all three nipples.”

The actor said his new wife, actress Scarlett Johansson, has been giving him a lot of love and support, and would be there Sunday. “She’ll be on the road somewhere,” he says. “She better be.”

Reynolds started training for the event five months ago because he “is not a born runner.”

He announced in September he would run on behalf of the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Reynolds credits his father, Jim Reynolds, “who’s spent the last 15 years in a life or death struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.” With his dad as inspiration, Reynolds joined Team Fox and has already raised $80,011.08 for the Foundation’s mission to cure Parkinson’s.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds made it official with a quiet wedding this weekend, a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE.

Reynolds’s rep also confirmed that they were married.

This is the first marriage for both. The couple had announced their engagement in May.

Johansson, 23, began dating Reynolds, 31, last year shortly after his split from singer Alanis Morissette, who recently expressed well wishes on her ex’s engagement.

Even though Johansson was “dressed down in a black blazer and jeans,” the doorman recognized her. Our spy said that “the doorman asked to take a photo with Scarlett” but that she snapped, “I’m not the Statue of Liberty,” before heading inside.
