Cameron Diaz and Sean Combs’ recent work dates have taken a romantic turn – the couple was reportedly spotted kissing as they partied together in New York.
The Charlie’s Angels star sparked speculation of a budding romance with the rapper after they were seen dining together numerous times last month.
A spokesperson for Diaz dismissed the rumors, insisting they were simply working on a film project, but now gossips has gone into overdrive after they enjoyed a late night outing to the Dream Downtown Hotel in New York on Saturday – and onlookers insist it was clear the two stars are very much a couple.
One eyewitness tells Life & Style magazine, “They were making out like teenagers.”
The actress reportedly started dating the rapper and entrepreneur in October, shortly after she split from baseball player Alex Rodriguez. Diddy was previously said to be dating his R&B protegee Cassie.
Justin Combs, son of international music mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, today announced that he has chosen to attend the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where he will be awarded a full scholarship to play football at the Division I school.
The younger Combs, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound cornerback from Iona Prep, chose the Bruins over offers from Wyoming, Virginia, and Illinois, among others. After hitting the 7v7 camp circuit with the “GoonSquad” All-American 7v7 team this past spring, he quickly started to generate a buzz and secured his first Division I scholarship offer back in April. The latest Bruin commit has also been selected to play in the inaugural Marine Semper Fi All-American Game held in Phoenix, AZ January 3rd, part of college football’s Fiesta Bowl weekend.
Combs, who carries a 3.75 GPA and is the Head of the African American Society at his school, will enroll in UCLA this fall and will major in Business Finance. Combs said he felt the combination of academic excellence and winning tradition at UCLA made his decision clear.
JUSTIN COMBS STATEMENT: “Today I am truly blessed and thankful to accept my scholarship and give my full commitment to UCLA. Playing division I football was a life long dream of mine, and through hard work I was able to achieve it. I am a living testament that with a strong relationship with God, family, and hard work dreams do come true.”
SEAN COMBS STATEMENT: “As a parent, today is one of the proudest moments of my life. This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about. Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream.”
The rapper has assured fans he’s doing well following the procedure, but admits the pain he’s experiencing is like being “shot” in the arm.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, “Had shoulder surgery yesterday-at home recovering-feels like Ive been shot in my arm & have to wear a sling but I’m ok! God is the Greatest!”
Combs, who is expected to speak at late rapper Heavy D’s funeral on Friday, has not revealed the reason for his operation.
Diddy Is Back! Making His Band Premieres Monday July 27th at 10 pm ET/PT
Sean “Diddy” Combs is no stranger to the nationwide talent search. The producer/rapper/three-time Grammy Award winner has scoured the country for new and emerging artists four times on “Making The Band,” expertly mentored the aspiring musicians into emerging superstars and created a veritable empire of burgeoning talent with hip-hop group Da Band, platinum-selling female pop group, Danity Kane, and award-winning male R&B group, Day26.
And on the eve of Diddy’s sixth (and reportedly final) album release, the legendary rap mogul-turned-starmaker is teaming up with his talent scouts, choreographers and vocal coaches once again to welcome another new group into the Bad Boy family. Only this time, the search is personal.
Starting Monday, July 27th, Diddy will be auditioning singers, drummers, guitarists, bassists and keyboardists to join him on stage and perform backup vocals and instrumentals on his “Last Train To Paris” tour. But the journey won’t be easy.
With the help of his judges (Laurie Ann Gibson, world renowned choreographer, Om’Mas Keith, producer and lyricist, Rob Lewis, songwriter to the the stars, Nisan Stewart, musical director/unofficial peacemaker, and Romeo, former vocal coach to Michael Jackson himself), Diddy will put his would-be collaborators through rounds of grueling auditions designed to weed out the wannabes from the future music legends and turn this talented team of rookies into the Bad Boy backup band of his dreams.
And getting through the first cuts doesn’t guarantee admission. Those who do make it through the early do-or-die rounds will still have endure scathing reviews, endless trials and constant critique in order to prove they’ve got the talent, drive and ambition to succeed. And although everyone will be pushed to their breaking point, only the best of the best will earn the right to share the stage with hip-hop’s leading tastemaker.
Watch as Diddy and his team of industry experts narrow down the field from nearly four dozen hopefuls to an elite starting squad, and give these ambitious newcomers the breakout opportunity of a lifetime. And if you thought he was hard on the Making The Band-ers, wait ’til you see him turn up the heat on these new recruits. After all, this time he’s got his name, his reputation and his legacy on the line.
You’ve seen Diddy create a hip-hop group, a female pop group, and a male R & B group. Now the grande impresario is creating a group for himself, to perform on what he is calling his last album. Diddy and his team will leave no stone unturned as they scour the country for musicians and back-up singers to bring his music to life. Those who make it through the early auditions will spend several weeks proving their worth and ultimately Diddy will choose the best of the best to be in his band.
Organizers for Saturday’s bash, held in LA, couldn’t send out a media alert on celebrity guests until the morning of the event because they didn’t have enough confirmations. “Obviously, they were expecting more A-list names and not just Tila Tequila, Tara Reid and Tom Green,” a spy says. More credible guests on the list, and at the party, included Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Russell Brand, Jonah Hill and a “wobbly-looking” Lindsay Lohan.
New best friends, tour mates, or just friendly neighbors?
Diddy was seen leaving the home of Miley Cyrus last weekend, and speculation is rampant as to what the unlikely duo were doing inside her home.
There have been rumors that Diddy will make a guest appearance on her upcoming tour, while others say he was simply locked out of his house in their Toluca Lake, Calif., neighborhood.
