Sheryl Crow and son Wyatt Steven Crow

Lance Armstrong is blaming the constant tick, tick, ticking of Sheryl Crow’s biological clock as the key factor in their break-up three years ago.
In “Lance,” out in July from Da Capo, the Tour de France legend tells author John Wilcockson that after he and the sexy rocker were engaged in 2005, two weeks before her 44th birthday, their relationship became “kind of a struggle.”
“She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that, but I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage, I’d just had kids [Luke, Grace and Bella],” Armstrong, 37, reveals. “Yet we’re up against her biological clock — that pressure is what cracked it.”
The famed cyclist adds that he and Crow went to a counselor in a bid to heal the growing divide, “but really there’s no way to counsel that situation.
“Because if somebody wants a child — man, that’s the greatest gift you can give to a woman — so who are you to stand there and say I don’t want one. So we were at different points in our lives. We were not compatible on that issue.”
Armstrong adds it was a matter of bad timing. “I felt like I wasn’t ready . . . I would have been in the future, but not then.”
In May 2007, Crow — still unmarried and with her options of giving birth to her own child slim — adopted a two-week-old boy she named Wyatt Steven Crow. Mother and child live on a 154-acre farm outside Nashville.
Meanwhile, Armstrong — who then dated Tory Burch, Ashley Olsen, Lisa Shields and Kate Hudson — is ready to be a father again. Last December, he announced that his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, is pregnant. Their baby was conceived naturally, defying doctors’ concerns that Armstrong’s bout with testicular cancer had rendered him sterile. The baby is due next month.

SHERYL CROW’S DESIGNER DREAMS BECOME REALITY

Rocker SHERYL CROW was inspired to design her own fashion line so her friends could buy affordable clothing.
The All I Wanna Do singer launched her new denim-based budget collection, Bootheel Trading Co. By Sheryl Crow, last week.
And Crow didn’t have to go far to gain inspiration for her line – she simply looked to her own wardrobe.
She tells People.com, “I have an incredible amount of vintage that I’ve collected over the years.
“My style is very Americana. I gravitate to pieces that are American by nature, either western or Depression-era.
She adds, “I do almost everything in jeans, except sleep. Denim has become so high-priced as of late. My friends back home don’t want to spend $250 for a pair of jeans. I want them to be able to walk into a medium-priced store and be able to afford a cool pair of jeans for less than 100 bucks.”

Sheryl Crow to Join Fleetwood Mac

Move over, Stevie: Sheryl Crow is planning to join Fleetwood Mac.
“We definitely have plans for collaborating in the future, and we’ll see what happens,” Crow tells Spinner. As to when fans might hear those collaborations, she says, “I think that’s going to be next year.”
And what songs would she ideally like to perform onstage with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham? “I’d love to do ‘The Chain’ and ‘Second Hand News,’” she says. “There’s so many great songs that I absolutely love, and just to get to sing harmonies on them is going to be a thrill.”
For Crow, who is just beginning to tour in support of her recently released ‘Detours’ album, the opportunity to join the legendary group (and fill the shoes of Christine McVie, who retired from touring in 1998), is a chance to work with her close friend Nicks. Perhaps more important, it will help keep the band alive, as Nicks had previously gone on record as saying she was unwilling to carry on Fleetwood Mac without McVie, who had been one of the constants of the often-evolving group since she joined in the early ’70s.
According to Crow, Nicks has been a major influence in her life as an artist. “I love people that are not jaded or de-sensitized and that are still really into what they’re doing and into growing as an artist, and that’s her,” Crow says. “She’d walk out and stand at the microphone, and I swear I was looking at a 20-year-old, because she just exudes this kind of sensual love for music.”

Happy Mother’s Day To Sheryl Crow!!

Sheryl Crow might be a little too busy for any fun-having and sun-soaking in the foreseeable future.
The 45-year-old singer/songwriter announced on her website today that she has adopted a baby boy.
A source close to Sheryl tells Us, “She’s super happy. He was born two weeks ago, and she’s just over the moon.â€
The singer’s rep confirms that the adoption is a done deal.
Crow, whose engagement to Tour de France champ/McConaughey BFF, Lance Armstrong, was called off in February 2006, is currently single. She told fans via her site that she named the baby Wyatt, after her father, and Steven after her “little brother and Scooter.” She added that she and the baby “are enjoying some very private family time.”
Congrats to the new mom!
