Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens says he was joking last year when he said Tony Romo’s girlfriend Jessica Simpson was not a “fan favorite — in this locker room or in Texas Stadium.”
(Critics claimed Simpson, 28, had jinxed Romo’s career by showing up at one of his football games that he lost last year.)
“She doesn’t really know my personality. I think Tony knew I was kidding,” Owens, 34, told Usmagazine.com Tuesday at the ESPY Style Studio in L.A. “I don’t regret it because I was just having fun. I was just teasing her.”
“I talked to her about it and gave her a hard time about it,” Owens added.
See Jessica’s sexy (and scary!) style through the years.
But in the end, “I told her she is welcome to the stadium anytime. I told her she can come down and sit in my section,” he told Us. “I’m sure she will be back!”
Owens said he’s thrilled Simpson and his teammate, 28, are still an item.
“I’m sure they are having a great time — they are probably off on vacation right now,” he told Us. “They seem happy.”

The Dallas Cowboy star was at the Grey Goose Manor in East Hampton, where he sat waiting for a gorgonzola cheeseburger with special sauce cooked by former “Top Chef” contestant Cynthia Sestito. But before it could be served to him, Sestito lost the tray of cheese and sauce. “She looks everywhere and finds three 6-foot-tall models hunched in a corner eating the entire plate of cheese,” laughed our spy. “But Cynthia improvised and whipped up a ‘Terrell burger,’ which he loved.”

TOUGH guy Terrell Owens was trembling in East Hampton Saturday night when lightning struck the house where he was staying. The Dallas Cowboy started comfortably at club Manor, but a few hours later was “freaking out” when the bolt hit the house. “Everyone was really confused,” said a source. Owens was later spotted at club Lily Pond, “partying with a massive entourage” and “spinning house music in the deejay booth.”

HEY, Terrell Owens – time to spiff up that wardrobe! Spies tell us the Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver tried to get into the Bank Nightclub at Bellagio in Las Vegas the other night, only to be turned away due to inappropriate attire – a pair of shorts. “Apparently, he has a hot temper both on and off the field. Harsh words were exchanged before he stormed off,” one source told us. Owens’ agent didn’t get back to us.

Terrell Owens was all tears and started crying after the press started asking about teammate Tony Romo’s trip to Cabo with girlfriend Jessica Simpson during the Cowboys bye week before their playoff loss against the New York Giants on SundayTerrell was very defensive about his quarterback, which is a change for the ‘quarterback killer’.

Yesterday Terrell Owens made headlines when he said that Jessica Simpson was not only distracting new boyfriend Tony Romo from playing good football but that she was actually single-handedly responsible for his teams’ loss this past Sunday.
Eek, makes for kind of an awkward Cowboys locker room when one of your star players disses the girlfriend of your other star.

Well, obviously someone in the Cowboys’ organization is telling T.O. to play nice and, for once, he’s listening. “I tried to get [Romo] to call her so I can explain to her that she doesn’t really know me and I can be funny,†the wide receiver told The Dallas Morning News. “It’s not a big deal. I will try to rectify the situation.”
Yeah, Terrell, you’re about as funny as Jessica’s straight-to-DVD comedies.
This year Dallas Cowboys Wide Receiver, Terrell Owens celebrated his birthday by giving back to 81 needy families in the Dallas community. Proceeds raised will benefit The Terrell Owens Catch A Dream Foundation’s 1st Annual “December to Remember†Holiday Fundraiser.
“I did it when I was in Philadelphia around my birthday,” said Owens, who turns 34 on Friday. “I wanted to help people and I couldn’t do it in my second year in Philly, so I decided to do it this year.”
Guests who walked across the red carpet were asked to bring a teddy bear that would be donated to a children’s hospital.
Owens arrived at the event with actor/singer Jamie Foxx, who is from Terrell and a big Cowboys fan.
Foxx promised to sing for the people who attended the party.
“I’m here to support him and do whatever he wants me to do,” Foxx said as he walked across the red carpet. “He’s a Cowboy, and I’m from Texas, and it’s a good fit.”
When asked what she got her son for his birthday, Owens’ mother, Marilyn Heard, said: “Me and my love.”
Among the Cowboys in attendance were Tony Romo, Jason Witten and DeMarcus Ware.
Romo, who has been linked recently to singer/actress Jessica Simpson, came alone.
“No date for me,” he said. “I’m not going to talk about my personal life tonight.”
Other celebrities on hand included actresses Kenya Moore and Elise Neal, and singer Michelle Williams. Tennis star Serena Williams and former Cowboys receiver and Hall of Famer Michael Irvin also showed up.
Owens, who held his birthday bash in Hollywood last year, enjoyed the scene.
“Dallas is home for me and I wanted to show off some of my celebrity friends,” he said.
