THE groupies who slept with Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx during their hell-raising Motley Crue years may want to have themselves dry-cleaned after reading “Rock Star Babylon.” In his compilation of outrageous rock ‘n’ roll stories, out in June, Jon Holmes recounts how the debauched drummer and bassist “decided to hold a competition between them to see who could go the longest without washing, showering or bathing in any way, yet still be able to sleep with groupies without them being ill or bailing out.” For two months, the duo had “nightly groupie sex” with up to four girls each – until finally, a young fan performing a sex act on Sixx became violently ill on him. It later became known as “The Spaghetti Incident” because the unfortunate groupie had eaten pasta beforehand.

KID Rock and Tommy Lee weren’t too interested when Las Vegas entertainment maven Jeff Beacher offered them $1 million to settle their feud with a winner-take-all boxing match – but now the pot has gotten even sweeter. “I’ve teamed up with legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum,” Beacher told us, “and now the prize is $5 million.” May the best man win. Rock and Lee got into fisticuffs during the VMAs in Vegas two weekends ago, fighting over their mutual ex, Pamela Anderson.

The trigger points for Sunday night’s fisticuffs at the MTV Video Music Awards between Tommy Lee and Kid Rock – which resulted in Rock’s being cited by Las Vegas police – was explained in part by Rock on Thursday morning’s The Kevin & Bean Show on Los Angeles’ KROQ-FM.

“It’s been going on for five years,” Rock (real name: Robert James Ritchie), 36, said of the strained relationship between him and Lee – who, like Rock, is a former husband of Pamela Anderson. “I did what any man would do, any man across the country, across the world would do,” he said, adding that “it kills me just to be associated with, to have my name in a sentence with him, it honestly destroys me.”

Of Lee, Rock, in comments first reported on PerezHilton.com, told the radio hosts, “Last contact I had with him was when me and Pam were going through our divorce. He picked up her Blackberry and started e-mailing me a lot of horrendous things. It was extremely disrespectful.”

In response, Rock said, “I calmly told him, … Listen, I will see you again … and that was the end of it, because I don’t talk, you know.”

But things didn’t end there. Talking about the night of the fight, Rock said: “This was unavoidable. I had to do what I had to do because this was a long time coming. You know, I came back from the bathroom and he was sitting right there. It was even more disrespectful after everything he’s said, I was like that’s enough, that’s it.”

Speaking on his Web site, TommyLee.tv, Lee recounts his encounter with Rock at the VMAs as follows: “here I am minding my own biz [when] I get a tap on the shoulder from Kid Pebble … i stand up and embrace him with a semi hug and say ‘Hey dude … What up”?? He punches me in the face … well if ya wanna call it that!? … more like a bitch slap! … Wuss!!”

Lee, 44, then says, “i go to knock this jealous no career havin country bumpkin the f— OUT … and before I can have a meeting with my fist and his ugly ass mug … security guards … NOT MINE at the Palms grab me and haul my ass outta the award show threatening me that if I move they’ll break my arm … yeah whatever!!”
On the radio program, Rock said his beef with Lee has nothing to do with Anderson, who on Wednesday distanced herself from her two fighting exes. “It has the farthest thing to do from that,” Rock said. “If he’s smart he’ll be like you know down deep you had it coming. Just leave it alone now. Go your own way.”

Referring to his four-month marriage to Anderson, which ended in divorce, Rock said, “The best thing I ever did was I filed for that divorce. You have to go through these things to realize that, you know. I was in love with her. I went through it, I did what I had to do, but thank God I got out of it.”

He reiterated, “It had absolutely zero to do with her…. I knew it was a bad career move to get involved with her because your life becomes a circus – because that’s what she wants is media attention.”

VEGAS lounge impresario Jeff Beacher wants to settle the score between Tommy Lee and Kid Rock once and for all – with a winner-take-all $1 million boxing match between Pamela Anderson’s exes. After the two clashed at the MTV’s Video Music Awards, Beacher decided the time has come for them to lace on the gloves. “We all know that they are fighting over Pam Anderson,” said Beacher. “What better way to settle their differences then to slug it out in the ring!”

Soon after his off-camera scuffle Sunday night with KID ROCK, TOMMY LEE gave “The Insider” his side of the story while hanging out at the Noir nightclub at the Luxor in Las Vegas.

“I was minding myself and then he goes and punches me on the cheek,” claims Tommy. “I was trying to be the bigger man, but he was acting childish.”

He added that after Kid came up and punched him, he “was ready to go in the alley and kick his a$$. “I was about to put Kid in the emergency room when security grabbed me,” says Tommy. “They said, ‘If you move, we will break your arms.’”

Tommy went on to express why Kid probably acted the way he did, saying, “This is what people do when they have shi**y albums and their careers are going down the drain.”

Kid Rock has a new album coming out October 9.

Meanwhile, Officer BILL CASSELL confirms to “The Insider” that Kid Rock was cited for misdemeanor battery for throwing a punch at Tommy Lee during ALICIA KEYS’ performance at the MTV VMAs. Kid Rock will go to court in three to five weeks to enter a plea. Cassell said the maximum punishment would be a $500 fine and six months in jail.

According to eyewitnesses, Lee — sitting at the same table as Diddy — jawed at Rock as he made his way toward the Bad Boy CEO, with whom he was supposed to present the show’s final performance. It wasn’t clear exactly what Lee said to Rock, but apparently after his words, Rock slapped the drummer, according to eyewitnesses. Lee, one eyewitness said, attempted to fight back but, before he was able to land a blow, was punched in the face by Rock.

Many inside the venue — including Jermaine Durpi — were oblivious to the fight taking place behind them. Others either tried to get out of the way as security tossed chairs to reach the outbreak or were stunned and didn’t quite know what was going on.

Security quickly detained both men, with Lee being immediately removed from the venue. Rock, with his cigar still in his mouth, was held back momentarily until Lee left and calmly walked out alongside security.

“I never hit nobody for nothing before,” Rock was overhead saying in the lobby of the casino. “I told him to shut the f— up.”

According to a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Police Department, Rock was cited for misdemeanor battery for his assault on Lee. Rock was not detained or taken into police custody but was issued a summons. He’ll need to return to Vegas for a future court date, and if convicted, he faces a $500 fine and up to six months behind bars.

The two rockers have on and off histories with Anderson. Rock recently married — and divorced — the former “Baywatch” star, and Lee married her in 1995.

The love triangle’s presence in one setting certainly set the stage for an explosive situation that detonated in an ugly fashion. Sunday night, however, wasn’t the first time Rock and Lee have scuffled. There must be something about Vegas. On New Year’s Eve, less than two months after Anderson filed for divorce from Rock, the “Bawitdaba” scribe reportedly learned that his ex had wandered back into Lee’s arms.

An upset Rock allegedly tried to track Lee down, and, with the help of his bodyguards, kicked down what he believed to be the drummer’s room at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Instead, he happened upon a startled family. Rock reportedly signed autographs for them so they wouldn’t press charges and retreated to a nearby strip club.

The dynamic between the three has been rocky ever since Rock and Anderson first hooked up. But it was the divorce filing that really kicked the rivalry into overdrive. Lee reveled in the news, and reportedly called Rock on the phone to taunt him about the failure of his short-lived union.

Before the show started, Rock and Anderson traded a brief pleasantry before each stepped on the red carpet. Anderson only quietly said “hey” to her former beau.

Anderson, however, was much more flirtatious with Lee when she took to the stage as a presenter. Lee whistled at his ex-wife from his seat, causing Anderson to shoot back, “Stop it, Tommy.”

Despite the seriousness of what took place, Jamie Foxx attempted to lighten the mood by joking to the audience to “stop the white-on-white crime,” while Diddy brought a more sobering message, telling the Pearl Theater crowd to “end the violence.”

Las Vegas Police Department is on the hunt for Kid Rock after he allegedly “clocked” Tommy Lee at the MTV VMAs in Las Vegas Sunday night.

According to security at the Palms Hotel, where the awards took place, the LVPD has asked for Rock’s room number at the hotel and any leads they might have regarding his current whereabouts.

Details as to what started the fight are still sketchy, but an eyewitness at the awards tells TMZ that “Tommy got it pretty bad.”

Both Kid and Lee were escorted out of the awards by Palms security moments after the altercation, caught on camera by Reuters photographer Steven Marcus, took place.

TMZ has learned that Palms owner George Maloof was questioned by police, who was overheard telling cops, “I have no idea.”

According to the AP, rap producer Rich Nice was an eyewitness. He says that although Kid Rock threw the only punch that landed, it was Tommy Lee who started the fight. “It looked like Tommy Lee initiated it because Kid Rock was ignoring him,” said Nice, who was two tables away. “And Tommy Lee kind of antagonized him. And then when Tommy Lee stood up, it looked a little weird, like ‘Yo, what?”‘

“When Tommy stands up is when Kid hit him the first time with a backhand,” Nice continued. “And then Tommy Lee looked like he was trying to get at him to aggressively retaliate and then Kid Rock hits Tommy Lee again — bong. And then security grabs Tommy Lee in a headlock and pulls him off.”
