Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, was hospitalized Tuesday, his rep, Stan Rosenfield, confirms to Usmagazine.com.
“Brooke Mueller Sheen was taken to a Los Angeles area hospital Tuesday
morning after experiencing premature contractions, which is not uncommon at this stage of a pregnancy carrying twins,” Rosenfield tells Us.
Continues the rep: “She is expected to be released from the hospital today.”
Mueller, 31, and Sheen. 43, wed in a small ceremony in Beverly Hills last May. It’s the third marriage for the Two and a Half Men star, and the first for Mueller, a real estate agent and former actress.
Last October, they announced they’re expecting twin boys this spring.
“Brooke and I are thrilled! She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for,” Sheen told Us, referring to his daughters Sam, 4, and Lola, 3 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 23 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt).
