It will be the first video ever to receive a simultaneous premiere on MTV, VH1 and The N. The band will perform “Violet Hill” at the “2008 MTV Movie Awards,” which airs live on June 1st at 8:00pm/7c from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA. The single – called a “must have” by Rolling Stone – was downloaded by two million people during the recent one-week period in which Coldplay made the song available to fans for free.
