Our childhood was stripped of us. Laying in the grass watching clouds form and pretending you see a shape, singing silly songs while dancing with your friends, having sleepovers with your friends and playing spin the bottle become simple fun obsessions you NEVER experience because the dark cloud of INCEST is ALWAYS THERE. We are now expected to be adults at 6,7, 8 or 16 years of age. As Don Henley sings, THIS IS THE END OF THE INNOCENCE. I can’t imagine apologizing to anyone who KNOWS someone who did this, or sympathizing to someone who DID it….”stripping” another person of there childhood innocence forever.
