Tampa neighbors are balking at Derek Jeter’s attempt to build an outfield-sized wall around his 30,000-square-foot mansion on Davis Island. The Yankees star wants an exception to the city’s 3-foot limit so he can put up a 6-foot-tall concrete wall around the property — but Tampa on line news site 10Connects.com reports the Davis Island Civic Association, which has non binding advisory power, re jected the request 12-6. The city’s Variance Review Board will make the final ruling to morrow. The seven-bedroom home is twice as big as that of Tampa resident and Yankees owner George Steinbrenner.
