Charlotte Caffey of the Go-Go’s and former TV publicist Jeffery Bowman have co-written “Lovelace: A Rock Opera,” which opens Oct. 18 at the Hayworth in Los Angeles. Lovelace – whose oral acrobatics made her the world’s most famous porn star in the 1970s – later claimed she was forced into XXX movies by her abusive husband. Bowman tells avn.com he’d heard that Caffey was a bit of a prude, “and this turned out to be true, but I discovered that she was a prude with a wicked sense of humor.”
