“The truth of the matter is, they push the envelope every day on MTV videos on Gossip Girl, on Big Brother. Hello! Big Brother is all about night-vision cameras of real people having sex.”
Banks talks celebs…
On her juiciest celebrity encounter:
“Sean Penn. I’ve met him a couple times, and he is beyond juicy.”
Most mortifying moment in Hollywood:
“Oh God, there are a few. But Jake Gyllenhaal once approached me in a valet line, and I thought he thought I was someone else. I was confused and frosty and I’m sure I was very off-putting, and he had to remind me that we had met, that we had done a partial reading of Romeo and Juliet, I don’t have a good memory for names and faces, so my husband now calls it ‘The Gyllenhaal.’ Like if we go to some luncheon and meet new people, he tells me, ‘Don’t Gyllenhaal these people.’”
If you had to be stuck in an elevator, who’d you want to be stuck with?
“Johnny Depp. I don’t care if he’s too short to reach the elevator ceiling to help get us out. I don’t want to get out. I’m good with small spaces if Johnny Depp is in there.”
On Banks’ upcoming movie W, co-starring Josh Brolin:
“When Josh and I started taking about ours character I was like, ‘From everything I read and see about them, I think they’re really in love.’ They’re devoted, and that’s something I understood and could play.”
On Banks’ upcoming movie Zack and Miri Make a Porno with Seth Rogan as her co-star:
“[It is] the most romantic movie with anal sex that you are ever going to see.”
“Miri is my favorite character I’ve ever played. She’s lovable, she’s real, she has insecurities, but she still has confidence every once in a while. Kevin Smith really knows how to write women.”
“Seth and I watched a lot of sex. There was a lot of it happening around us, that’s for sure.”
Let’s talk about sex…
“Sex is always funny. I don’t find it sexy – I find it really horrifying. But it’s an act that we need. And that need, that desire, is what makes it really funny.”
WH asked – Sex: in the morning, afternoon, or night…or all of the above?
“The morning. Start the day off right.”
Beauty trends Banks refuses to get behind:
“I’m not a fan of plastic surgery. Oh, and I’ve never had a wax in my life. Waxing makes no sense to me because you have to grow it out to wax it. My [bikini area] is all shaved, and she looks good. I use a nice exfoliator, like Dermalogica.”
Banks’ fave fashion trend (For the weeklies – celeb favorites, etc):
“The whole bootie thing that’s going on right now, I have some silver Christian Louboutin booties that are the loves of my life.”
