Courtney Love is described as an unstable maternal figure, in newly released deposition papers filed by her daughter in 2009 seeking a restraining order against the troubled rocker.

Frances Bean Cobain, now 19, says Love’s wreckless behavior even caused the death the family dog and cat.

The cat died after getting entangled in Love’s messy piles of ‘Etsy fabrics, boxes of paperwork, trash and other possessions,” according to the court papers, while the dog swallowed several of Love’s stash of prescription pills.

In order to ensure that no other pets would fall victim to Love’s pill-popping habits, Cobain included her dog, Uncle Fester, on the restraining order which was granted.

Among those Love, 47, was ordered to avoid contact with include Cobain, Uncle Fester, Cobains’ grandmother and her aunt.

In the papers, originally obtained by The Fix, Cobain also laments Love’s worrying drug use.

“(She) has taken drugs for as long as I can remember,” Cobain said. “She basically exists now on … Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes. She rarely eats … She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done at least three times) that will threaten our lives.”

Cobain initially filed the restraining order against her mommy dearest in the L.A. Superior Court in December 2009 following a physical fight between the two.

At the time, Cobain spoke out about another bizarre incident that occurred several years before. Cobain claimed Love dragged her to the home of Love’s former boyfriend, James Barber.

“She took me in a taxi to his house in the middle of the night, and from outside the house, in her bare feet, she screamed at him, threw rocks at the house, and threatened to burn his house down,” Cobain said in the sworn statement.

“His children were inside the house, but that did not stop my mother.”

Mother and daughter have had a rocky relationship since the restraining order was granted.

But Cobain is trying to move on with her life. She became engaged to The Ramgles singer Isaiah Silva in October and they are looking forward to their upcoming nuptials.

“Getting to spend the rest of my life loving my best friend makes me the luckiest woman in the world,” Cobain wrote on her Facebook at the time.

Ja Rule knew he didn’t have much time to record the last cuts of his long anticipated-album, “Pain Is Love 2.” Cops had found a gun in his Maybach and he’d been convicted of attempted gun possession. He was about to start his sentence.

“My back was against the wall,” Ja Rule told the Daily News in an exclusive interview Tuesday. “I didn’t think we’d have time to do what I set out to do, but it came together much better than I could ever imagine.”

Ja’s fans couldn’t agree more. In 24 hours, Hype Williams’ music video of “Real Life Fantasy,” his duet with Anita Louise, got 3 million hits on WorldStarHipHop.com. Fans will soon hear the rest, like his virtuosic rap “Pray for the Day,” the heartfelt “Drown,” and the lushly produced “Superstar,” Ja’s musing on fame, when the album drops Feb. 28.

Channel 7, who produced “Pain Is Love 2,” told The News there was a synergy in the studio that felt “supernatural.”

“Anyone who was a part of those sessions felt the intense creative energy in the room, and knew we were on a mission,” 7 recalled. “I remember at the last session, at one point the studio assistant got really choked up and emotional. He admitted that witnessing Ja record this album with everything happening with the prison bid looming, yet still staying so focused, inspired him to have the strength to deal with his own issues. I felt that… we all did.

“‘Pray For the Day’ was playing on the big speakers and Ja was like, ‘I said what I needed to say to the fans. I’m ready.’

“We all knew he was going to prison the next day. It was a heavy moment. I think everyone in the room was pretty overwhelmed.”

“This record is a labor of love,” said Ja’s spokeswoman Melanie Bonvicino. “He knew he was going to jail.”

At Mid-State Correctional Facility, the steel doors slam with a jarring clang. They’ve shut behind Cormega, Prodigy, a Supreme Court judge, and CEO Dennis Kozlowski, who all got out, as Ja Rule will in a year.

Turning Stone Resort and Casino is just down the road, but for now, Ja’s luck has temporarily run out. In those unmistakable stentorian tones, he tells The News he’s making the best of it.

“I didn’t know how strong I was,” Ja says. “My uncle sent me a poem about an oak tree doing battle with the wind, which breaks its limbs and tears its bark, but it’s still standing, because of its strong roots. It’s a metaphor for life.”

Ja’s roots are in Hollis, Queens, where he was born Jeffrey Atkins on Leap Day 36 years ago.

New York eatery Joanne Trattoria – which is backed by the singer and run by her parents Cynthia and Joseph – was criticized on opening on Wednesday for its “clueless” waiters and “unspeakably fatty” food.

Food critic Steve Cuzzo wrote a damning review for the New York Post newspaper, entitled ‘You’ll gag on the food at Gagas’.

He blasted: “You don’t expect a brand-new eatery to be running on all cylinders. But Joanne, owned by the pop superstar’s parents, last night was running mainly on acrid-smelling burnt vinegar wafting intermittently through the raucous dining room.

“Clueless busboys wandered the floor, performing no other function than to pour tap water into sparkling.”

The critic went on to slam the “overpriced” and “unspeakably fatty veal osso bucco”, complained about a 50-minute wait for food and branded the grilled calamari as “the worst I’ve had in a lifetime of squid-mongering.”

Despite his comments, Steve was lambasted for reviewing the restaurant on its opening night.

One reader hit back online, saying: “Who in their right mind goes to a restaurant on opening, let alone review it?”
However, the critic insisted his review was justified because of the extent of the promotion Gaga – who was not present for the opening – and her parents had done in the lead up to it welcoming customers.

He wrote: “The Germanottas, [Art] Smith [chef] and Gaga herself, with the windiest hype machine east of the Pacific, have been trumpeting the joint for months. For Day One, couldn’t they at least get some people who act like they’ve seen the inside of a restaurant before?”

The aviation enthusiast – who is a qualified pilot – and his wife Kelly Preston were left devastated in 2009 when 16-year-old Jett died after hitting his head during a seizure while in the Bahamas and John has decided to pay tribute to him by bequeathing a G-2 Gulfstream executive jet to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame at the Museum of Aviation.

Chrissy Miner, spokeswoman for Robins Air Force Base, told the Telegraph newspaper in Macon that the plane is being prepared for a static display for an upcoming air show scheduled for April 28 and 29 and will then be towed to the museum.

Following Jett’s death his parents set up The Jett Travolta Foundation, a non-profit organisation which has given away approximately $56,000 since it was set up.

Those who benefitted include a Scientology detox charity in Ocala, Florida, which received $2,500, the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the No Limits Limbs Loss Foundation, who were both granted $5,000 each.

A further $2,500 was given to the Marion County Sheriff’s Foundation while other donations included $250 to the Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Foundation – an affliction causing loose joints and hyperelastic skin – and $2,500 to the Central Florida Community College for a scholarship in Jett’s memory.

Scientologists John and Kelly have two other children – Ella Bleu, 11, and 14-month-old Benjamin.

A lawsuit claims a leak from Marisa Tomei’s New York City apartment has damaged the homes of two downstairs neighbors, including director John Waters.

The neighbors’ insurance companies filed the suit this week in a Manhattan court. The suit says the “My Cousin Vinny” actress’ “negligence” caused a September 2010 leak that left more than $128,000 in damage at the building in Manhattan’s Greenwich (GREN’-ich) Village.

Waters says in an email the case is a standard insurance claim completely out of his hands. The “Hairspray” director says there’s no animosity between him and Tomei.

The insurers’ lawyer and representatives for the Academy Award-winning actress haven’t responded to messages left Thursday seeking comment.
