Rocawear will launch a capsule collection in collaboration with Hasboro, coinciding with the premiere of “Battleship” the movie, featuring actors Rihanna, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker and Liam Neeson.

The collection of men’s and women’s tee shirts, polos and denim, will fuse Battleship imagery along with well known Jay-Z lyrics such as “Show Me What You Got,” “99 Problems” and “Bring ‘Em Out,” to name a few.

The actor channels his rock ‘n’ roll alter ego, Stacee Jaxx, for the June issue of W magazine, in which he sheds his clean-cut look to transform into the outlandish musician he portrays in this summer’s “Rock of Ages.”

Posing for the photo spread while filming the Adam Shankman musical in Miami last summer, Cruise shows off his six-pack abs and (fake) tattooed body as he’s being sandwiched between two blond groupies.

While he has the guyliner look down, preparing for the role didn’t come so naturally for Cruise.

“I needed to find out if I could really sing!” he tells the magazine. “Ron (Anderson, formerly a vocal coach for Axl Rose) came in and worked with me. And then I had to learn how to play guitar. I’m very good at air guitar—and air drums—but I had never played an actual guitar.”

Cruise eventually mastered a pitch-perfect scream for his performances in the film, but the actor says he’s been working on his dance moves since childhood.

“(As a kid), I did the scene from ‘Risky Business’ around the house. I would sing Bob Seger— my mother worked, my sisters were out, and I’d turn the music up,” he says. “I learned how to dance watching ‘Soul Train.’ I noticed that if a guy could dance, he’d get a lot of attention and girls would want to dance with him. I worked very hard at imitating those moves.”

Cruise says he also spent a great deal of time developing his bad boy persona, fearing he would look like a joke if he didn’t approach the role with sincerity and intensity.

“Stacee Jaxx had to be real,” the actor says. “I didn’t want to imitate all these other rock stars. He had to be unique. If the audience doesn’t immediately buy into his absolute greatness, there’s no movie journey.

“Without that, you have nothing.”

Bobbi Kristina Houston will honor her late mother, Whitney, with a special performance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

Although the tribute to the late ‘I Will Always Love You’ singer will take place the Awards ceremony on Sunday, it is not known if Bobbi will sing one of her mother’s songs.

‘The Bodyguard’ star’s death rocked the music world when she was found dead in a bath tub at the Beverly Hilton hotel in February, a day before the Grammy Awards.

A tribute was staged at the Grammys, and further celebrations in her honor have taken place at the BET Celebration of Gospel and the NAACP Image Awards.

Shortly after her death, Whitney’s vocal coach and friend, Gary Catona, said her whole personality had been affected by the deterioration of her voice through smoking and drug abuse.

He said: ”When someone is a singer at that level, their voice is so much of who the person is. She identified with her voice. It was not possible for Whitney to be affected very deeply, psychologically and emotionally, by the fact she couldn’t sing properly anymore.”

Elsewhere at the Billboard awards, Stevie Wonder will receive the Billboard Icon Award while Chris Brown, Usher, and Justin Bieber will perform live.

Tameka Foster is locked in a complicated legal battle with Usher, and is worried he could sell the Georgia mansion where she is living.

A clause in the couple’s divorce settlement allows Usher to sell the property in the US at any time as long as he gives her 60 days notice, and sources have said she fears he will soon do just that, leaving her with mounting legal bills and nowhere to live.

Tameka has reportedly asked that she get a permanent home for her and their children, Usher, four, and Naviyd, three, but he has reportedly refused as he believes he has already paid her enough.

At the beginning of this month, the couple were ordered to work out their differences and come to an agreement over custody of their children, a sticking point in their divorce proceedings.

Usher, 33, and Tameka, 40, filed for divorce in June 2009 after almost two years of marriage. She later filed court documents in Georgia asking the singer to be stripped of joint physical custody of their sons.

Tameka has previously alleged Usher is behind on $34,000 worth of payments after promising her $5,000-a-month to pay for a nanny.

David Beckham and his Los Angeles Galaxy teammates met U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, where the soccer stars were applauded for their Major League Soccer Cup win.

Beckham, 37, led the Los Angeles team to victory over Houston Dynamo in November and had to endure a few jokes about his age during a press conference with Obama.

The President quipped, “I gave David a hard time; I said that half his teammates could be his kids! We’re getting old, David. In fact, you’re holding up better than me.”

Obama also took aim at the British sportsman’s sideline as an underwear model, adding, “It’s a rare man who can be that tough on the field and also have his own line of underwear.”

During the visit to the White House, Beckham and his teammates presented the President with his own Galaxy shirt and then joined First Lady Michelle Obama at a soccer clinic with kids on the South Lawn.

Paris Hilton is set to launch a new career as a DJ in front of thousands of music fans in Brazil this summer.

The party-loving reality TV star will perform at the Pop Music Festival in Sao Paulo, Brazil in June following appearances by Jennifer Lopez and Kelly Clarkson.

Hilton will hit the booth for an hour-long show and tells Billboard.com she cannot wait to show off her Dj-ing skills.

She says, “I have been a part of the music scene and club scene since I was 15. It’s something I have been passionate about and have come to respect very much. I am very excited to share all of my hard work with the world.”

Hilton is perfecting her turntable skills with the help of boyfriend and international DJ Afrojack, who she joined onstage at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida in March.
