Giuliana Rancic adopted the one millionth kitten of the 9Lives’ Morris’ Million Cat Rescue campaign at the West LA Animal Care Center. “E! News” co-anchor Jason Kennedy actually surprised her with the little kitten, because he knew she and new husband Bill Rancic had been looking to adopt a cat.

This June, Morris® the Cat, 9Lives® cat food icon, realized his dream of rescuing and finding loving homes for one million shelter cats. A former shelter cat himself, Morris the Cat leveraged his star power to raise awareness for his 9Lives’® Morris’ Million Cat Rescue™ Campaign (MMCR), which launched in 2006 and has visited over 60 cities across America in quest of reaching his important goal. To commemorate the milestone, Morris collaborated with “E! News” anchors Giuliana Rancic and Jason Kennedy on Wednesday, June 18, at the West Los Angeles Animal Care Center to give the one millionth adopted kitten a true fairy tale ending!
After hearing that his co-anchor Giuliana and her new husband, Bill Rancic of “The Apprentice,” were looking to adopt a cat, Jason Kennedy covertly worked with Morris and his team to surprise the newlyweds with the one millionth cat. With paparazzi lining the red carpet of the West Los Angeles Animal Care Center, Jason and Giuliana arrived by limousine to the shelter. Giuliana, under the guise that she was attending a store opening, stepped out of the car to be greeted by Morris the Cat in his designer sunglasses and bowtie. Her initial surprise was then surpassed by pure joy and excitement as Jason presented her with the new kitten, an adorable gray and white tabby. Morris the Cat made the adoption official by stamping his paw print alongside the signature of Hollywood’s newest adoptive mom, Giuliana.
