Jude Law ate a raw goat kidney while on safari in Africa because he was afraid to offend his hosts.
The Cold Mountain star and his family were staying with African tribesmen in Tanzania just before Christmas last year when they sacrificed a goat to celebrate the actor’s visit.
He explains, “We spent two nights with the Masai tribe and then went camping.
It was a very special experience. My stepson and my eldest son and I were taken off by the warriors… They sacrificed a goat for us.
“They don’t eat a lot of meat, so when they do, it’s a big deal and they don’t like spilling the blood so they suffocate it. Then they splice the thing up in front of you and they eat the organs.
“I was given a kidney – straight in the mouth. I didn’t want to offend anyone, so I ate it! Actually it wasn’t too bad in all honesty. It was very warm still and really salty.
