As Kathy Ireland danced the quickstep with her professional partner Tony Dovolani on Monday’s episode of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ the show’s house band asked, “Shall We Dance?”
Tuesday, Ireland found out that the answer was, “Not any more.”
The model, actress and entrepreneur was sent packing, becoming the third celebrity eliminated on this season of the popular ABC dance-off.
“There is so much to take away from this experience,” Ireland said. “I wouldn’t change a moment of it, [including] the fact that I got to learn how to dance from world champion Tony Dovolani.”
After avoiding the bottom of the standings by a single point in the judges’ scoring last week, Ireland and Dovolani landed at the bottom this week with a score of 19 points out of 30 on their quickstep.
Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay received the same score dancing the tango with his professional partner, Cheryl Burke, but was never threatened with elimination. “Entourage” actress Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were the other couple in the bottom two, while snowboarding champion Louie Vito and his professional partner, Chelsie Hightower, were the last couple pronounced safe.
With Ireland and Dovolani gone, 13 couples remain heading into next week’s competition show, where couples will dance either the Rumba or the Samba.
