The man suspected of stealing the purse of “Spider-Man” starlet Kirsten Dunst is back in jail, caught in a web of deceit and revenge, his sister said.
James Jimenez, accused of swiping the blond’s $2,000 handbag and her co-star’s iPod and camera from a SoHo hotel room in 2007, got locked up Tuesday when his bondsman revoked his bail.
George Zouvelos revoked Jimenez’s $50,000 bail and claimed the defendant’s sister paid him only $3,250 of the $14,000 owed to secure the bond.
Jimenez’s sister, who gave her name as Marta, said Zouvelos, who was engaged to her, is getting back at her through her brother because she broke off their abusive relationship this summer.
“This is revenge because I didn’t want to marry him,” she said after a bail hearing.
Jimenez has been out on bail since October waiting for a retrial after a Manhattan jury convicted him of criminal trespass but deadlocked on two burglary counts.
Zouvelos, founder of New York State Professional Bail Bondsmen & Agents, is facing an indictment for weapons possession and other charges dating to February 2008, court papers show. He refused to comment.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Laura Ward ordered the sister to return today with documents proving the bond has been paid and ordered Jimenez held until then.

Turns out the Judge took the side of the Bondsman after all. The lying sister Marta Enid Jimenez was effectively shut down as a married muslim woman claiming to be engaged was told to take a hike. The brother James Jimenez is now back in jail with another 50k bond to add to his portfolio and waiting retrial on not one but two felony counts of burglary. The fact that the bondsman has a two year old case of being accused of foul play has no bearing on his duties as a licensed NY bondsman. The bondsman is still afforded the presumption of innocence that the defendant James Jimenez lost when he was convicted of a crime late last year.
