Just call her Miley Cyrus – onstage and off.
The singer, born Destiny Hope Cyrus 15 years ago, has filed papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting a legal name change, TMZ reports.
Filed by her parents Leticia and Billy Ray Cyrus, 46, the documents request the legal change “to make her commonly used name the same as her legal name.” News of her plans to change her name first surfaced in January.
In addition to filing the legal document, Cyrus must also publish a public notice referring to her name change before it will become legal.
